On a More Serious Matter i would like to Know what is love to you.?

For me love is when you can only think of that person as a part of you.. Love is when You have so many emotions you cry when your happy..You have this tingling Feeling running trough Your chest..and it moves down to your toes..Love is when you see this person at that moment you could be on Fire and only think of them..Love is when you get the emotions And cant help but cry not tears of sad or happy you just cry..Love dosnt Mean that Sex is is need in-Fact sex has Nothing to do with Love..Making love is what love is were you and your partner are one you dont just feel there body Agenst yours but you feel there love for you..Them who they are and what they feel for you..This is just in a few words What love is to me..

As for me... well... I've never been in love. It'll be the thirty-second year I've been a part of this mortal coil come March and it's never happened. I'm starting to think that there's something seriously wrong here. Am I that vapid and empty? Feeling like a soulless monster isn't a good thing, let me tell you.

Love in general or romantic love? From your description I would assume the latter. Hmm... no, no I can most certainly say that I do not know. Though when I stop and think about it, it's never really been a matter of pressing concern. And to be perfectly honest, I'd rather prefer to keep it that way as life is far too complicated without adding something so unpredictable.

I agree with Mr. Xebulon. I, too, have not ever experience those "tingly feeling" or "butterfly stomach" love like everyone see in everyday life or in romance movie. I'm young in my age, and everyone know that teenager and young adult have love life like an "off and on switch." Well...most of them, anyway.

the sad thing is i long to cuddle near fire with some one..to awake evry morning and see the sun in there eye i long for that..to be held and to be loved by another..the sad thing is as a male i go by looks but looks arnt evr thing.. i want a soul to go with a face but to be honest i do want that person to look nice but i prefer a kind soul then a body..but as it stands iv ben single for 4 almost 5 ears no dates what so ever.. i think i will all ways be the girls best friend insted of a lover..T-T

Like Ashton, I find it difficult to describe love. Though I find parts of Phil Collins's A Groovy Kind of Love to be quite good at describing it. Especially the lines "When I'm in your arms, nothing seems to matter, my whole world could shatter, I don't care".

I cannot tell if the opening question was serious or not. I'm guessing that he wasn't entirely serious judging from the responses.

But if you want a serious answer, I think trying to answer a philosophical question like "What is love?" is about as hard as trying to answer something equally vague, like "What is beauty?" If you're talking about the romantic kind, then it's something that philosophers, poets, and writers (including bad ones like myself) have been trying to define for a long time. I'm not sure if you can write it easily in words since it's not like everybody gets to fall in love.
