Don't worry about it, Kas, I certainly understand... sometimes it takes me several drafts and rewrites before I get anything done when I write, because I second-guess myself constantly. Trust me, sometimes all you have to do is not worry and let the words write themselves. A cheesy answer, I know, but it works. And if you find you've written yourself in a corner, don't take it as a failure, just an unforseen destination... sometimes taking the story in a whole new direction can be even more fun than you'd think.

On a related note, I'm writing a short story about a cross-dressing character (female who dresses and largely identifies as male) that happens to wander into Bon Bon. Of course, this is in between working on the next chapter of my growing fanfiction opus... which I really, really intend on working on this week. Honest!

I don't know if it's really "genius"... it was really just based on a realization that, without having actually shown up in the main comic, Daisy's sort of a "free agent" as far as writing her character goes, so when coming up with some backstory between herself and my fursona I had a lot of room to work with... and yet, I didn't want to go so far away from the things actually happening in the story that it would divert too much from the spirit of the comic. I figured expanding upon her striptease performance would be one way to "anchor" the character to the reality of Bon Bon, the comic, and the site. I may or may not include reference to the Delight Castle Ball toward the end of the story, I haven't decided yet...

Nothing of the sort Kasumi. If no one responded, its either they didn't go through all the new threads, aren't around enough to reply and merely read and continue on, or they're like me who don't really read most of the stories here.

Its nothing personal, but with how much time it usually takes me just to reply to the many threads that I'm already invested in, I don't really have the time to read everyone's stories. Short hand can get a response sometimes.

Bit of a late reply, but like Johnny said, while my character has dated Meg when given the opportunity (mmm.. fluffy tail), there's no indication that there's any actual relationship in place.

As for writing, don't be discouraged by a lack of response. I'm another one who can't hit every thread, especially when I'm away from home like now, but now that I know it's there I have something to explicitly seek out when I've got a few extra minutes.

I've actually been thinking of the way people pick the character they'd like their fursona to be with. Like at the ball. Seems like many members pick a partner that hasn't appeared in a scene with another royal member yet. So it does give a bit of an impression that there are many actual couples in Bon Bon, though it's not really the case as mentioned already.

If I'd had an avatar in time for the ball, I know who I'd have wanted to go to it with. I'm pretty sure anyone who pays any attention to what I say will know who that is, too. Though at first, I thought of Chessy, mainly because she's the only person I really knew at the time, having been introduced to Bon Bon by her. That reminds me, I haven't seen her face around here for a long time.

Like others have stated, I've got a definite preference for Daisy Nugget, the only other coyote in Bon Bon, but I wouldn't say that my character and her are in an exclusive relationship (hell, my fursona's first appearance was a group sex scene with Violet!).

What I'm saying is, if Vanessa decides to pair off Daisy with another character in a future comic, I'm not going to throw a fit or anything like that... just silently give the other person the "evil eye".

I don't know if Tadelesh will ever find someone to be a couple with. He's tried in the past, but relationships always seem to fail for him for some reason. He doesn't fall in love easily, but when he does, he falls hard, often too hard too fast. I hope that doesn't happen here too.

Symphony, I think its mainly to give one another and the side characters some screen time. Its nice to see people we know in cameos, as it gives this forum a stronger sense of a community if we see one another here and there.

If I was to find a more permanent male to be placed with me, it would most likely be one of the male felines. However, since I'm not looking for anything permanent, I can play with just about any of the men. Like Johnny said, the gal he sees himself with most isn't even who he first appeared with. Its a land of debauchery, not perfect wedding couples. I mean, if I was to appear in a threesome with, lets say, Xebulon and Gantros, that doesn't mean I'm hoping my character will marry or even date them. Xebulon is a good friend who I can get my fill of bear hugs from, and Gantros is an interesting man with a camera, for those times of when the exhibitionist within me kicks in.


Now, looking back at what I used to claim about the "curse of Bon Bon" where we would only have so many royal members at once, I rethought it when hearing about when Labrn starting talking about the card game. It was when he mentioned that there aren't many "travelers" for the card game, as that's one of the types you can be, like entertainer and noble. When we have members who appear and then move on, I suppose its fitting since that's what Bon Bon is. A place for a vacation, but not a permanent residence for most.

Speaking of Royal members - I do believe tomorrow (or possibly Friday, I'll have to check which) will make me a full Royal member of 6 months' subscription. Unfortunately, I still haven't quite finished preparing my avatar, so I will still have to wait before even joining the queue for one.

Indeed. There's people who have posted maybe 2 times since they joined who have their descriptions up over you.

Infact, I the first post is their "welcome" post, to introduce themselves. Sometimes with a simple "Hi, I'm new." Then their description in the sticky threads.

I do hope they remember part of the deal is to stay an active member in the forum, or do the other forums count towards that Ronald? Like Vixine's and the general threads far below the Bon Bon one.

Unfortunately, all three of the commissions I've ordered keep getting delayed due to overworked artists. Hopefully at least one of them will be done in the next week or two, so I can get a proper idea of how my description works and if he looks how I imagine it; then just a couple of tweaks and I should be ready to post it. I would rather wait longer and have him perfect than rush it and have him not quite how I envisioned; though, of course, Vanessa's work will make him spectacular anyway.
