So I was visiting Chicago this holiday weekend and returned to the Field Museum. Why is that important? Well every time we go into the history of the name or animal choice, I always bring up the man eating lions of Tsavo. The Field Museum has the skins of the two most famous; the Ghost and the Darkness. Well to my surprise, they now have a third maneless lion skin there, the man eater of Mfuwe.
So I realize it is kinda morbid, but I was excited.
There is a bunch more info including pictures here:

I remember seeing the original two Tsavo Maneaters as a kid, since I grew up around the Chicago area and had at least a couple of class field-trips to the Field Museum (as well as the Shedd Aquarium, Brookfield Zoo, Museum of Science and Industry, Adler Planetarium, Art Institute of Chicago, etc., etc.). I also remember them being a bit on the mangy side, since they had been on display for so many decades... I think they've cleaned them up a bit in recent years...
Still, I didn't know about the Mfuwe maneater being there as well. According to this site, it wasn't donated to the Museum until 1998, which was after I graduated from highschool... which explains why I didn't know about it, I suppose... _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! Haha, yeah I've explained it a few times.
They skins have been cleaned up since the last time I've seen them. In fact, there was a bunch of merch in the museum store now too. Like they just realized they had something famous.
The Shedd is a lot of fun too, but I hit the Brookfield Zoo this trip instead. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

Welcome back Tsavo.
That story actually sounds familiar, I think I was at the Witte Museum in Texas when I heard it though, and I was just a kid. _________________

So how many men have you eaten? *Holds back a stiffling chuckle.* Which that made me just think of some terrible puns and humorous jokes regarding your sexuality. One particular loose version of "eating men." _________________ Oh, I'd tell myself

Well it would depend on the woman then, Ashton. I for one don't mind a good dine if the man knows what he's doing. _________________ Oh, I'd tell myself

Wait... so you don't eat women, Ashton? You eat men then?
And... thinking of that... isn't an old term for that a "Ladykiller" or something? And, on an even more obscure note, wasn't like the pirate Bluebeard a lady killer or something?
And, as for you Mystic, it is going to take a lot more than just a wink and some wine to make me try some things...
((Okay, being as that I'm in a weird mood, it's time once again for Caroline's-Real-World-Avatar story... mostly since it seems like Mystic thinks I didn't have the "curious college years". Anyway, as dumb as this is going to sound, one of my other friends convinced me to give it a try... her idea being that since I was a girl, I wouldn't be all sloppy and just glance over the important stuff. So... I'm down there doing the business, and I guess I must have done something right, as she completely and utterly arches up and crushes my face with her thighs. I had bruises on my cheeks for days, I couldn't hear out of my ears terribly well for a few days, and had to go to the dentist to fix a crown that was cracked off... so... um... point being, sometimes it might be better to not know what you're doing.)) |

I suppose I asked for that, did'nt I? No, I don't eat women and no, I don't eat men. I don't eat anybody. (unless someone was aquianted with the bacon I fried the other night) If you recall, Mystic said she did'nt mind a good dine if the man knew what he was doing. If you further recall, I am a virgin. Putting these two together, I would say that makes me eminantly unqualified to eat anyone, would'nt you say? _________________ Silentium est aurum |

((To Tsavo:
Well... I actually had to answer some uncomfortable questions about it. The Dentist thought that my father or maybe my boyfriend had beaten me up, and was trying to get me to admit it. I mean, it was nice that he was concerned, but... wow was my skill at obvuscation really put to the test.
To Ashton:
Well... sometimes not knowing what you're doing is way better. If nothing else, you get the raw, uncut, going-all-at-it, youthful-exhuberance kinda flair which is often more fun than someone who is a "pro" at it. Though... with my different tastes, I'd probably break you, Mr. Gray.)) |

I believe it. I dated a soccer player once. She didn't cause me to get dental work, but she could definitely clamp down hard enough to make the room spin and for me to be dizzy for a few minutes afterward. And now I guess I've gone into a real life story, or at least part of one. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

oh well while we are onto worst eating out stories i have a little advice: never try to eat a woman in under water because when i tried it she kicked me in the head and i nearly drowned (though not all bad of course i hooked up with the life guard who saved my ass afterwards) _________________ wondering where the jackal came from: http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7940 updates here or there
