Are you a fan of both or just one of them? And if you like the erotic side of the genre, how did you get into it?

I have to admit that I'm not really all that interested in furry artwork that doesn't have some erotic elements. As a kid I loved lots of anthro comics and cartoons, but I've never really associated that with my interest in furry as an adult. Ever since I a couple of years ago stumbled across some pictures of naked anthro characters, it's always been the erotic elements that have drawn me.

That doesn't mean that I don't appreciate other things though. I love Vanessa's comic, and I wouldn't want it to be just about the sex. It's ultimately all the things that Vanessa puts into her work, like the characters, story, humour, sex etc., that makes it so great. But I probably wouldn't have joined in the first place if it hadn't been for the hardcore aspect of the sex scenes, or the beautiful and sexy characters.

It's the same with the furry artwork I enjoy on other sites as well. It has to have some erotic elements, though it can also become too much. A lot of what I see on the net is just too extreme for me. But I've never been one to read furry webcomics, or other comics that don't involve sex(as an adult, I mean). It just doesn't seem to interest me at all. I'm not really sure why that is.

Anyway, how do you feel about this?

Guess id say im a fan of both. But usually if the artist is good though and has a interesting art style and not just the random sketch with the huge chest and all that. ~_~

Like the stories too if anyone knows sequential art, las lindas, jay naylor, etc.

Reason I keep coming back here to cause the PBB comics have the erotic, comedy, good story line, and artwork.

(and the forum here has sum fun members to hang out with ^_^)

I've always been a fan of good artwork (ie I don't have to think about what it is I can tell exactly what it is meant to be just simply by looking at it) and Anthro has always fascinated me with the different interpretations and the creativity that some artists put into anthro/furry works (in my opinion) far surpasses those of conventional artwork.

So in a nutshell I am a fan of both.

To me there is a limit of being a fan of EROTIC ART ^^;;;
regular furry art is neato to me.
KAWAII DECHU!!!

But like I said there's a limit of how much 'I' can take
Like some characters for kids shows being *censored* by people minds.
I know i'm explaining is difficult
but good example: Treasure Planet
Jim X John Silver
Just NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Timon (from tlk) humping Bolt (that white dog from the movie)
I don't mind seeing original characters but characters you grew up with, and seeing them in such situations makes you go like: ... what the hell did i just clicked on!!???
(btw then the freakin' link says: Genie making a wish come true'

I don't like the eh cutting off bodyparts, or slash, how you call it? I saw once by accedent, a 10 seconds clip (while looking for anime erotic art for insperation) I believe when visiting sites and ever since I'm quite reserved
Hope no one thinks i'm weird. And yes, I saw it in furry artwork too. Just in case someone doesn't understand what the heck I'm sayin'

I'm just quite scared ...

I know seeing thumbnails on furraffinity sometimes make me go like: oy...
Plus my grandma kind of ruined it (even my ex who said Sex was discusting for him -____________- )

*sighs* one of the reasons why I remain s1ngle <- *scared for commitment and being hurt*

but when it comes to art, romance erotic art is really something I find beautiful. Especially when you can read the love in their eyes. Like
These are my favorit erotic arts to look at...

ah loveeeeeeee *nya*

I'm a fan of both, though sadly I'm your typical overly driven horndog who's more a fan of the erotic. Then again, it depends on the artist and your definition of erotic. Erotic, to me, is only when there's sex involved. Passionate kisses or just someone in the buff isn't erotic to my standards, (though I'll certainly shield any children's eyes from such things) *covers Johnny's eyes*

I doubt that I knew anthro existed before a friend showed me some PBB pages. I found this website, looked at the preview pages and I was completely hooked. A few weeks later I was a paying member Laughing

So my relationship to furry art started quickly and intense, and has remained intense. I must say I have a preference for the erotic, but I absolutely agree with you on this part, Symphony:

im a fan of both. although the first anthro stuff i came across was erotic in nature, i believe it was some of jeremy bernals work if i remember correctly, that also got me interested in anthro art of the non-erotic kind. that being siad if i only was interested in the erotic bits of this style of art, i would be missing out on alot of good artwork Wink

I'm not really sure why I worded the second question the way I did. I don't think there needs to be an "if" in the question about liking erotic furry art, since we're all fans of PBB. big grin

and I'm not really sure what I prefer in erotic artwork. At first I'd say that my preference isn't actually for hardcore sex, but rather more solo pinups of characters in various positions. But on the other hand, furry artwork has some great possibilities with characters of different species and color, and I have several favourites among the sex scenes drawn by Vanessa and my other preferred artists.

I am a fan of both. I think, generally, I prefer erotic. When it comes to pictures I have commissioned artists to draw of Tadelesh, however, they've nearly all been non-erotic so far. I'm not entirely sure why that is.

Also, it generally depends on the artist. Some are very good at non-erotic, but not so good at erotic, and vice versa. As long as it's amazing art, it doesn't matter whether it's erotic or non-erotic - I just appreciate the art.

Fan of both, but it has to be positive on both sides for the most part. I don't mind an image that goes a little dark, suggestively, but never to the point of terror, pain, or worse.

The erotic stuff I first became aware of through friends on the mucks, and I used to order from a mail order site called Mailbox Books (I think they are now Rabbit Valley, but I'm not sure. Wink )

I like both but it has to be well done. Especially Erotic. I've got a little leeway for regular furry art, but erotic has to be well done otherwise its just a turn-off.

Simply but, I love both elements of the story, since the story line does incorporate both successfully without them conflicting in any way.

To be honest, I think my involvement with each of these elements stemmed from when I was kid, and my love for kittens had me into the teen years. Since then, I have a natural love for cats, but anything that is feline or pet-like in general.

The erotic side you would probably laugh at, and this was when I was 11 years old and played a playstation game with a friend. The game we happened to play was a fighting beat-em-up called Dark Stalkers. I guess when I saw Cait Sith, that was the first time I had any kind of link to the erotic side of furry art.

Offline perhaps. But if we're being canon with our characters...*Left eye seems to glow a bit white while the right glows a faint black*
