Hmm, well, the original topic is interesting, even if the thread's been derailed quite a bit...

Myself, I tend to hate musicals with a passion, and the few movie musicals I do like tend to be mixed with a horror storyline (Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Little Shop of Horrors, the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Repo: The Genetic Opera) or are animated (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride).

Still, I think a sexy, erotic musical would be interesting, and an erotic animated furry musical would be pretty outlandish and would definitely catch a lot of people's attention.

Even though I like to think I can carry a tune, I'd probably prefer if someone more professional than myself were to voice Johnny Six-Killer in a (as yet completely existing only in fantasy) musical version of Pleasure Bon Bon. The only person I can think of who would do a good job is Nathan Fillion (he plays Capt. Malcolm Reynolds in Firefly and Serenity, as well as Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog)

I love sweeney todd the movie, it is set in victorian era right? although it is a bit bloody heh

and about a musical porno? yeah there would be a lot of wtf factor heh

Yes, Sweeney Todd is set during the early Victorian period, as it started off as a penny-dreadful story written around the 1840s. The musical version was created sometime in the 1970s.

You know, Johnny, I have to give you props for your taste. Very good stuff.

I also like Les Miserables.

Meh, I can do without "Les Miz"... I had to listen to the soundtrack constantly when I was in junior high, because my sisters were gaga over it. That and "Phantom of the Opera"... yuk

(like I said, I normally hate musicals... I only like a few, and only in moderation...)

Well, I'd more be singing something along the lines of "I shot the sheriff" but instead of the sheriff, the culprit who got my hair sticky. (See small tussel with Johnny for more on that members)

but I think that first one Tearlach mentioned could be a hoot. Laughing

Although I enjoy musicals as an art, I don't know how well PBB would do as a musical. Like some of the others who posted before me, I would actually prefer something akin to a either a novel, or animation like it is being turned into right now.

I can cover at most...Two guys singing, and three females.

My voice seriously ranges from

Soprano

to

Tenor.

My voice has always been stuck "in the basement" as my music teacher had referred to it. What this means is bass, not to be confused with baritone, which is a range below tenor, but above bass. I often struggle getting into baritone, tenor ranges without needing to somehow mangle my falsetto to keep it from going straight up alto.

"Old Man River" is an example of the kind of song I could sing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh9WayN7R-s

Hmn, currently the most known one here in austria is ALMA - A SHOW BIZ ans ENDE (a show biz until the end) which is also a movie besides the musical theater. It exists already since 1996 and was already at theaters all around the world.

Here a photo of the current one in vienna. It is pretty popular here and yes, she sings in that scene.

Most assuredly. It could even be something comical, like "Canibal the musical."
