I never understood how people got into the whole Dom/sub and BDSM deal. From what I've seen of (one person exceptionally close to me in particular), its not really that healthy or constructive to a relationship.

it all depends on how far one takes it.On the part of the sub its about total trust in your mistress,knowing that they will only give you light stings here and there to further heighten the senses and thus pleasure,cause your totally at their hands while ties up(at least thats the way it was with me and my pets).For the part of the mistress,its exciting them with small punishment,and rewarding their loyalty with affection and nurturing.But when you talk on the extreme end of things I agree that I find it hard to be healthy.

From my experince with the dom/sub relations. It doesnt always have to deal with pain. You could for example have the dom tie up the sub, then use a feather to tickel him/her, untell the sub begs. But to put it in perspective, the sub gets off on reliquishing conroll to the dom, while the dom take pleasure in controlling the sub. Even thou indavigual kinks do play a part as well.
