Wow I have some catching up to do. Went to Williamsburg VA with my mom and dad for Memorial Day, then trying to find out why my orders for my 2 weeks were not here yet... its still not here... work over time, and getting my apartment ready for when my mom and dad come down I've completely forgot to catch up on the comic and posts... wow.
A few days ago I contacted my unit and come to find out because of my Sleep Apnea they can't guaranty power for my CPAP machine so I won't be going with my unit... instead they're sending my to Arkansas for some other training. I leave next weekend some time. Have to report on the 14th. So I'll be gone again for a few weeks.
Other then that. Hey gang how's everyone doing?

Well that the price you pay for joining the military, whether it be part time or full time. When the higher up say jump you jump and then say how high. You would be surprise how many people that join the military don't realize you're ass belongs to the brass till you're enlistment is up no matter what.

| Well, in my time in the Navy, I got along pretty well with my higher ups and seldom had to deal with officers, a lot of chiefs, but not too many officers, then again, I never made it out of training. Got re-classified and sent to the training command that deals mostly with the new recruits, so I had a tendency to get frustrated easily until one day I snapped, went to mental health, and was discharged a few weeks later. Overall, I'm happy with being out, but if I could have been assigned a position working at my first training command, I'd be having fun there. The second one, not so much. |

Oh I'm not saying I'm having trouble with my unit... either then the fact they have the tendency to send drill letters and orders at the last minute  I really like being in the National Guard. Heck I went through medical boards to stay in. Because of my sleep apnea I was almost kick out. Each time I've convinced the board that I can still do my job.
*Sigh* but to tell you the truth I'm done. Unless I get promoted to Staff Sergeant in the next 3 years I'm not going to reenlist. With my sleep apnea constantly being a problem, always getting needed information at the last minute and other complications I've had it. I swear I never had this much trouble back with my old unit in North Dakota. If it wasn't for the fact the state disbanded the 164 and the fact there wasn't many job opportunities I would have stayed.
Ah well. When life throw's you lemon's right.

Well looks like I'm not going anywhere this month. Due to my sleep apnea I won't be going with my unit for my 2 week training. Had another training that was being lined up but that got canceled too. So I'm pretty much on stand by for the moment till the full time staff can come up with something for my 2 weeks this year.

Unfortunately, my copy of that movie is in PA whilst I reside presently in FL. However, how one comes up with the notion San Diego means a whale's vagina is beyond me. |
