Well, I was mostly teasing. Its not so much to get your hopes up, but I'm pretty sure Kommy has other ideas to what uses she could use a lab rat like yourself for. I've never been much one to cook, but sounds a fair deal. Trading one flavor for another papa bear? *Gives Xebulon a wink and a pat on his tummy.* I'll have to see if I can't get one of the two cooks to help or find some at the market.
And Chaos, I was referring to her experiments. I think she wouldn't have sex on the menu, as much as how much of pill A can I stuff into orifice B until reaction C happens.

I think I'm the opposite of you on this, Labrn. I'd be much more inclined to pick a character to have sex with my fursona, that's not a fursona of someone else. I think I'd feel a bit awkward seeing my fursona get gangbanged by a group of Royal member avatars

Not I. Then not only am I fulfilling the enjoyable fantasy of getting "filled up" like Violet, but I don't have to write up and figure all the dialogue and action up myself. I have friends who can help, add their input, and add extra steamy conclusions that never even crossed my mind. Its only awkward if they're sticking themselves into it instead of their fursonas. That's what I'm here for, not actually trying to screw the real live members behind those avatars. (Sorry if that disappoints any of you.)

That's the problem for me. I'm not sure if I could participate in such a roleplay and just look at it as a story being written by several people, instead of thinking of it as cyber sex. I'm not sure how much of my impressions of other people's fursonas are from what they have posted about their fursona's history and personality, as well as the avatars provided by Vanessa, or from how they generally behave in threads here.
It's the same when people make all sorts of comments regarding others here. I often find it difficult to figure out whether it's a comment directed at someone's fursona, or if it's directed at the person behind the fursona.

I find it hard to distinguish between fursonas and the people behind them as well. Especially when I feel such a close bond between my own fursona and myself; he pretty much is me, except the way I'd like to be instead of how I am. Almost always when I RP, I feel as if things are happening to me, not my character - I feel emotionally connected, and often find it difficult to differentiate between my character's thoughts and feelings and my own. As a result, I nearly always go through the same emotions that my character does, and their behaviour can often reflect my mood at the time. When I get round to writing about Tade's sexual preferences in this thread, a lot of them will be what I like or would like to do.
Ahem. I think I'll stop there before I turn this into an essay; I think I've said more than enough already. I get like this sometimes - start typing and just can't stop, despite my usual tendency to not say much, if anything. Same with talking in real life.

Minsha isn't me, I feel safe to say that. For one, I'm not fuzzy, my hair is brown, and my eyes are hematite grey.
Oh, and I'm not a girl.
Hwever, on the subject of "who I can see her with", currently no-one. Really, the setting is fun, as is the comic (what I can read without subscribing yet), and so far I'm having fun in the Forums, but Minsha just isn't a horn-dog/wolf. Casual sex just isn't in her operating proceedures as a person. It'd be like, Bruce Campbell suddenly trying to become an Oscar-hoarding serious actor who actually made movies we could watch with a straight face. IT JUST AIN'T HAPPENING, FOLKS! Minsha might be straight, she might have a thing for sweet guys in white fur, but letting people she hasn't been dating for a while into her pants just doesn't happen, in RP or (close as I can tell) otherwise, for the forseeable near future. |

Well, if imagining it as cyber sex helps you to perform better in such an RP, then I'd say go with it. If it makes you feel dirty, then keep an objective point of view about it. You have certain plot hooks, where if someone creates the right reaction to your character that she'll behave this way.
Well, I keep all comments of a sexual nature (joking or not) aimed at their fursonas. The only time its towards a person is either to congratulate them for their birthday, avatar creation, or if they're having doubts, troubles at home.
Not to mention, anytime I'm adding in actions *Gives a little hand gestured display for example* such as that, its all about the fursona. I'm much more likely to wave goodbye to a stranger than to jump up on there back and talk of orgies than my fursona.

You've got a point about simply looking at it as a story being written being written with the help of others, but I don't think I could apply that reasoning to a sex roleplay here. Simply because it's not a regular story with people writing multiple characters, but instead is about people putting their fursona, which is often what they see themselves as, into the scene. It would just too much make me think of cyber sex.
This is also because I wouldn't be able to not think of the person behind the fursona. I always try to treat people by what they post rather than who or what they are, but that doesn't mean that I can simply ignore what I know about them either. And that's probably also what I then think that others do. That I got this idea that when roleplaying sec scenes, people think of the person and not the fursona, that they are roleplaying with. I have no idea if that's true or not, but my experiences with online communities, particularly those of an adult nature, tell me that many members will treat others by their gender.
I don't really know where I'm going with this. I'm just rambling here, so don't pay too much attention to what I'm writing.

I have a difficult time remembering how to act as someone very different from myself... So, in a casual place, particularly with no RP involved, I am quite happy to simply be something like myself. And considering I don't intend to do anything naughty in plain view in these forums, I'm happy to keep my own sexual preferences and enjoy them.

Well, having had some actor training, and even scratching at the thought of changing my major to theater major, I can easily play various parts. Need a little background, but otherwise I can handle a good deal of roles.
Personally, taking on a fursona/persona online is just like taking on a role on the stage, so it matters little to me. Remember, its not you but the character who knows such things, responds to actions, and gets involved. You shouldn't worry about your own reaction as much as your character's reaction. Just because you might not like the outcome your character is involved in, doesn't mean your character doesn't enjoy it.
