Beast Wars was good. And I actually liked Beast Machines as well. I just had to forget that I knew anything at all about the Transformers universe other than what the show was trying to establish. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

You'd be surprised how many popular cartoons had that background.
I remember reading something that whole He-Man thing was done to salvage a failed line of Conan toys. _________________ http://harmlesslion.com |

Quote: | The legend is unverified but persistent, and most likely false since the first He-Man action figures were produced in 1981, a year before the first Conan film. |
Well, that's a pretty convincing argument on the surface, but the Conan character was around for a good 50 years before 1982. From Wikipedia as well:
Quote: | Created by Texan writer Robert E. Howard in 1932 via a series of fantasy stories sold to Weird Tales magazine... |
Quote: | Conan the Barbarian is also the name of a Gnome Press collection of stories published in 1954, a comic published by Marvel Comics beginning in 1970, and a film and its novelization in 1982. |
Still, if the official word is that it was not originally a Conan line, that's fair enough for me! Hehe.
Hey, on the topic of threads on topic (currently in a number of other threads, it seems), did we have one here? _________________ http://harmlesslion.com |

Originally, it was just Sha'Kaar returning and being welcomed back. It quickly degenerated into a debate about Transformers. I was beginning to think it ought to get chucked into General Discussions. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

Well before it gets chucked out,.. let me just say hey again,.. i got hit with hard times suddenly again, and am just now picking up the pieces again.
I was just recently laid off from work, but on a bright side i got a few new job options opening up for me.
So now i am good, and hope to be on more.
*hugs all*
And Decepticons are still the top with Shockwave being the best |

Good luck there, Sha`Kaar! When one door closes, two others open, right?
I don't personally venture into the other forums... I like how this one is centered on the people here. _________________ http://harmlesslion.com |
