I just want to say that I really like this place. I had forgotten what it was like to be among mature adults online. I think the last time I saw a community like this was some 5 or 6 years ago when I had just started as a moderator at Palcomix (when it was still small; before it "changed"). Everyone here respects, or at the least is considerate towards, each other. There's no bickering between members (that I've seen), and no "1337" speak. *cringes*
More importantly, the people here not only have the utmost respect for the artist and hosts, but they still treat them as people; as equals, if you will. I still remember the conversation I had with bbmbbf. He said people tend to forget that an artist is still a person and not a machine. I know that was (and probably is even more-so now) a very big problem for him and the other artists there; and I've seen just how much it takes out of them. I am so glad that is not the case here.
Just wanted to get that off my chest. *picks up soap box and walks off* |

All those things are the reason I came here. Except the soapbox...
PBB is a unique site. We hopes to keep it that way.

*looks at box* I don't know about you, but I think it makes a great step stool or, in this case, a temporary stage to make announcements. And when it's empty, it can also be *places box over head* a hat.

Er, don't mind the cobra, he seems to be attracted to anything with a warm body and a pulse...
Anyway, those are excellent sentiments, and ones that I completely agree with. If anyone had told me a couple years ago that I'd be spending so much time in a message board for a furry porn paysite, I'd have laughed in their face. This is probably the last safe haven from the normally rampant Internet morons that I've seen in a long time, "knock on wood"... *knocks his knuckles on the convienient wooden soap box* _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! You do him a disservice, Johnny. Being a reptile, I'm sure he'd make an exception to the warm body requirement if asked.
In any event, while it is nice to hear, I shall not be so arrogant to assume I have any role in that which you admire, Mr. Fuse. But I will say that while I have found a few message boards that have been quite pleasant, even having made lifelong friends from them, I must admit to being surprised that things stay so civil here. It's not what one would normally associate with a fairly pornographic enterprise.
I also admit that I am concerned about Vanessa at times. She is quite ambitious in what she chooses to take on. I sometimes fear she spoils us too much. _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |

She cranks out an astounding amount of high quality work, so much so that I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about how slow the updates are (another rarity for webcomic forums and webcomics in general). _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! I agree with ya Johnny. I for one feel like a little kid at Christmas when it comes to Vanessa's updates but the wait is always well worth it. _________________ Crimson's Construction.

As much as I'd love to chime in with some enlightening snippet of witticism, I'm afraid everything I want to say has pretty much already been said. So to summarise, *clears his throat* ditto. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Coincidentally, I'm quite fond of scales as well as fur.
I agree with kommy's and Johnny's statements. Vanessa works very hard getting things out quickly. I wonder if there's anything we can do for her. Maybe send her a dozen roses. *ears perk up* Or perhaps a present for PBB's upcoming anniversary. Just throwing some ideas out there. |

Not to mention, besides the art and games she provides for us, but any chance we get to talk and interact with Vanessa is a splendid treat as well.
That's the big icing on the cake for me! I've commissoned a few artists, and known a few who started their own webcomics. Some get sucked into it, and some don't even really mingle with the crowd. But not Vanessa! She gets people's input, takes critiques to heart and makes corrections when pointed out. She thanks us nearly as much as we praise her back. Its grown to the point that I don't see her as just an artist, but as a friend. ^_^ _________________ The suspense is killing me. I hope it will last. |

What really pleases me about PBB in general is the fact that Vanessa seems to truly care about her audience, and the people who subscribe to her art. I have never before experienced an artist who seems so truly grateful to her audience, and it really makes me feel appreciated as a member.
The drama free forums are a big plus as well _________________ Ewan's Golden Glass

I also agree.
Vanessa works hard to keep us all happy, and in turn we all work hard to keep her dreams and ideals of this forum alive and healthy. From friendly encouragement to tips and ideas.
We are all apart of this place, and it will stay as good and wholesome as we all want it to be.
So lets all give Vanessa a Huzzah! and keep this glorious place clean of trash.
And who's to say we can't enjoy the company of friends in the process? *Winks at Hank* |

Just to add to what has already been posted, I'm glad that there aren't anyone here always looking to get into a fight with others. That's something I've seen far too often elsewhere. And no one who always have to ridicule everything and repeatedly state how little they care.
And there's no elitism either. That's something I've really disliked in other forums. Seeing a group of older members behave as if they own the board is really annoying. It'll often mean that they are rude to new members, telling them to search before posting or that their topics suck, and that they'll gang up on anyone who speaks against them. I really dislike that.
Thankfully there's none of that here. I wonder how much the fact that we're paying members has to do with all of this. We care about being members of the site and intend to stay, because we wouldn't be paying for it if we didn't. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

Ah, a very good point, Symphony... If this weren't a paysite, I'm sure we'd be surrounded by the usual trolls and annoying personalities that infest most forums. I think the fact that this is a paysite tends to discourage the types of people who seem to thrive on creating annoyance and conflict. _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! Hear, Hear! Good Call Johnny!
Awhile ago, I had to clear a few things from a few paysites so my bank account wouldn't take another hit (I kinda get carried away ) and as I was thinking "Do I want to cancel my subscription"? for Bon Bon, I decided to wait and see what would happen story wise and I feel that I made the right decision. Now if I could only keep my 'bizzare' side in check... _________________ "If it ain't broke, just wait awhile. Because it will be. |

*Comes bursting through a closed door with a whip and chair, clothing slightly torn in places. Then turns to whip and fend off some rather nasty looking tentacles coming through the door way* It has its ups and down like everything else.
Though, you don't have to be a paying member to be a member of the forum, so that statement is true to an extent. Those who aren't members to the main site don't stick around for long, otherwise they miss out on so much. That's not saying those who've been to the site don't stick around. _________________ Oh, I'd tell myself
