My lord, I just remembered watching Kids Incorporated...
"Juicy foot, it's gonna move you.
Straight to the stinky bathroom.
Juicy Foot,
the taste the taste the taste that's gonna make you go!" |

A lot of these cartoons people are mentioning, I've never heard of. Perhaps because they weren't shown in England? I don't know. Reboot, however, is one I used to love. I wanted to try and find it to buy somewhere a while ago, but I couldn't. I wonder if I could now. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

Yeah, Reboot is all on DVD. Season three with the grown up Enzo totally rocked my world, it was so different from what came before - that's the only set I ended up buying. _________________ http://harmlesslion.com |

I too had a look around for reboot on your behalf. I have to say that even the American discs are only offered second-hand at almost a $100!
Just checked Ebay: $200 for season3 part two.
I think it would be best to play a waiting game, they are bound to be re-released soon. On the good news front, Starfleet a Japanese, Gerry Anderson type puppet show, is being released 19th January 2009.
This is a fantastic show, Brian May of Queen, loved it so much he made a cover version of the theme tune.

I was just reading this thread and it made me very amused. I guess it's some kind of rite of passage for all 20-somethings to complain about "feeling old". When I was in my early 20's, I said the same thing.
It was a rude awakening when I was in my late 20s, and one of my friends, who was still in college, was ranting with his friends that basically "life ended when you reached 25". Needless to say, it partially hurt my feelings. But in any case, he said that would be an old man and there would be nothing left to do in life and he would know everything already.
As for my friend, he eventually got married, got a little gray at the temples, and worked on getting a PhD. I think that even he would be slightly embarrassed to admit that he used to say things like that since he's now in his 30's and he realized that he didn't know everything at 22, and being 26 doesn't make you "old".
The point is, some things do change when you get older, but not as much as you'd think.
Getting back to the topic, I grew up on many old cartoon shows including Robotech and whatever... Too many to list. From what I can tell, old crap is turning new again as stuff constantly gets redone or re-released. Heck, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is now back on air again, and I thought that fad burned out long ago. Still, it seems that cartoons are actually getting better lately. Since many parents are being asked to watch the shows their kids watch (which I highly recommend), the shows often have elements that are incredibly sophisticated so parents aren't bored silly.
As an aside, somebody mentioned My Little Pony being anime. That's actually a purely American show made by Hasbro. I'm assuming that by "anime" you mean Japanese animation. |

Offhand I don't remember who told them that... but it certainly was. When they get back into MainFrame and start dealing with Megabyte - that's pretty good stuff.
That said, the season ending is a bit of a cop-out, but it's done in a pertty entertaining manner. _________________ http://harmlesslion.com |

Good lord!! They're worth that much??
I think I might have to use EBay again... they aren't worth $200 a disc to me. _________________ http://harmlesslion.com |

Yes, one's perspective of life shifts during the 18-21 years, as my girlfriend will discover soon, as she is currently 19. And it changes further later in life as well...
Enough to make one feel existential, isn't it?
Anyone remember Tiny Toon Adventures?
One of the songs they did a video for helped me through a question in my first college class...
"Istanbul to Constantiople... Why they changed it I can't say. I guess they just liked it better that way!"
I need to learn how to play Happy Happy Joy Joy on my guitar..
Oh, and where Pinky and the Brain made thier start.. Animaniacs.
I remember dozing off while watching the original Doug series, when Patty was calling Doug's name a couple times, and he wasn't responding. Subconsciously, I responded with a "Huh?" My brother thought it was the greatest thing ever.
I also remember playing the original NES when I was young, and getting excited because I got my race car on Bill Elliot's Nascar Challenge to hit 200 MPH. |

Street Sharks? I don't recognise that name, but it reminds me of Sharky and George. Ah, that pair of fishy detectives in the city of Seacago. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

iv had the theam to road rovers stuck in my head ever sence the last post about it so i cant help it
*starts to sing*Barkin', scratchin', frisbee-catchin'
Presidential pets
(Hunter: "That's us!")
Change into the canines who drive
Souped-up cars and jets
(Colleen: "Comin' through!")
Tuchus-nippin', toilet-sippin'
Soarin' through the sky
(Exile: "I like it!")
Lickin', droolin', quick-refuelin'
Who says dogs can't fly?
(Blitz: "Not me!")
Speedin', crashin', villain-smashin'
Vehicles explode
("Ooh!")
Chasin', racin' down the road
Rooooad Rovers!
Hunter is a hero hound
Leader of the pack
(Hunter: "Huh, cool!")
Colleen comes from London town
Watch her feet attack
(Colleen: "Hiii-ya!")
Exile's from Siberia
With super-frozen sight
(Exile: "That's me!")
Blitz chews on posteriors
His bark's worse than his bite
(Blitz: "I'm perfect.")
Shag is strong from head to toe
A coward through and through
(Shag: "Ruh ruh ruh!")
Muzzle's stack is gonna blow
He's short a screw or two
(Muzzle: "Urh Urh!")
They fight for right both day and night
In ev'ry episode
(Hunter: "Let's roll!")
Now it's time to hit the road
Rooooad Rovers!
*stops singing and tries to catch his breath*

I'm 31 and got a brain full of old cartoons. Anyone remember The Visionaries? Or The Inhumanoids? Lessee... M.A.S.K., Sky Commanders, or even the Dinosaucers?
Voltron, The Shirt Tales... I watched too much T.V. as a kid.
Bucky O'Hare. Waitamminit... isn't there a Royal Member who resembles the cat girl on that show? _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.
