[sorry I haven't been on in about a week, but work is a pain in the ass right now]

Grabbing the untouched shot glass in front of Feingo, downing it and his own.

"I'm up for another round"

[sorry, had a massive week of work X_X]

*he tailwags happily, noticing the fuss having calmed down and people getting back to drink. He gets up and trots towards the bartender, slamming an handful of florins on the counter* Alright dude, a free drink for everyone here - and have something you too! Let's have a good one! *he smirks as his glimmering green eyes shine*

noticing Taliesins sudden burst of energy
"Don't get too anxious friend. We don't want you to pass out on the floor before were all broke. Nor do I want to carry anyone home tonight." Nudging Taliesin jokingly.

A bit surprised by Taleisin's generosity (especially after Johnny had already offered to buy the next round himself), Johnny smiled broadly.

"That's the spirit, amigo! Bartender, let's double up on them drinks!"

It wasn't long until Johnny was now double-fisting pints of the Lions Den's finest, and finally feeling like he could put all the weirdness of the night (and for the past couple weeks, for that matter) behind him. He raised one of his pint-mugs in a toast.

"Here's to BonBon: may its streets forever runneth over with wine, women, and song!... Especially the women!"

Having already shaken off the pain of his encounter with Johnny's gun, and taken a seat at the bar, Feingo raised his glass high.

"Here, here!! I don't mind drinkin to that at all."

Oh!! *he takes a big sip from his glass, pouring some on his shirt as he chuckles and laughs some* Yep, let's get this place a bit more feasty now! *he was happy he could broke the ice after such a dramatic moment, thinking to himself things are starting to go in the right direction now.* Hey! Mind if I borrow this? *In a corner there seems to be a worn guitar... he takes it up and sits at his table and starts jamming the strings, letting a simple yet groovy melody fill the whole place with music* Any special requests around here?

"An old Irish folksong. If you know one."
Grabbing a glass and drinking half of it in one gulp.

*he nods and clears his throat as he starts jamming on the iron strings of the guitar, keeping time with the tapping of his foot on the floor as he softly headbangs, then starts singing:*

As I was going over the far famed Kerry mountains
I met with captain Farrell and his money he was counting.
I first produced my pistol, and then produced my rapier.
Said stand and deliver, for I am a bold deceiver,

musha ring dumma do damma da
whack for the daddy 'ol
whack for the daddy 'ol
there's whiskey in the jar

*and keeps on singing, louder and louder, happily.*

Johnny tapped his foot and nodded his head to the rhythm of the music. His eyes closed slightly as his memories went back to the last time he heard this song, to a small group of Irish immigrants that he had met not one year into his long, aimless wandering of the West. They hadn't taken to him at first, and Johnny couldn't blame them, in retrospect. He laughed everytime he remembered those early, wandering days; how young and foolish he had been, and how that foolishness had nearly gotten him killed among the very same people he would soon learn to call friends...

Memories came of nights spent dancing and singing under the stars, of drinking copious amounts of alcohol (though Johnny would rather forget the hangovers the mornings after)... but most of all, Johnny's memories ran back to Elizabeth, a comely young girl who had just about stolen Johnny's heart those many years ago. Elizabeth, too, had been young when they first met. She was a skinny, whisp of a girl, a proud Irish Setter lass with a thick brogue and a widom beyond her years. It amazed Johnny, even now, how such a darling young lady ever took a shine to a scruffy coyote like himself.

As Taleisin continued to play, Johnny's mind was awash with the memories of his little, thin Lizzy, and how she grew into her womanhood (in every sense of the word) almost before his eyes. His mind wandered to those nights, filled with dancing and singing and love-making... And without realizing it, Johnny began to loudly sing along with the lizard...

I counted out his money and it made a pretty penny
I put it in me pocket and I took it home to Jenny
She sighed and she swore that she never would deceive me
But the devil take the women for they never can be easy

musha ring dumma do damma da
whack for the daddy 'ol
whack for the daddy 'ol
there's whiskey in the jar

Feingo smiled as he patted his hand on the bar lightly and in time with the melody. His memories also shot back to his past, to his dorm at OCS, and to Jonathan. He remembered well the nights Jonathan would start playing his fiddle. For as quiet as he was that first day, he had become a very outspoken person in a short time. Jonathan would start playing and singing, and before too long, the four of them would be singing and romping around the room.

He remembered the night that he and Jonathan had gotten into a musical duel in the courtyard, Jonathan with his fiddle, and Feingo with his instrument of choice. It hadn't taken long for a crowd to gather, applauding them and cheering them on. What happy times he had had back then.

He then noticed an instrument hanging on the wall, and a wide, devilish smile crossed his face. He drank and listened patiently as Talesins song came to and end, clapping with the others for the spectacular performance. He then got up from his seat and walked to the wall and took down the old instrument. A banjo. He sat himself down on a stool next to Talesin, adjusting the tuneing on the old instrument.

"That was one hell of a performance there my friend. So, what do you say we turn this into a real party?" He gave a devilish grinn. "Tell me, do you know this one?"

He then played the opening call of "Dueling Banjos".

*as the whole song goes thru, he smiles and looks around, happy to entertain the people around him. He then offers the other guy an evil grin, his green eyes dazzling with amusement as he plays the first notes for the duel. Jamming on the strings of his own guitar he manages to repeat the same tune, awaiting for the other guy to go on before the interesting part of it begins, his fingers darting on the keys and pinching the strings of his own instrument at ease*

Widens his devilish grinn, chuckling a little. "All right, this party's fixin to kick off!"

He then plays the second call, listens to the response, then the third, then the fourth, then cracks his knuckles, knowing only too well what happens next.

Paying for another round of drinks and siting back to enjoy the show. "Now I wish that I'd brought my harmonica and put you both to shame"

*he grins evilly as sweat starts steaming over the shiny scales of his forehead, keeping it up against his opponent, trying to do his very best... he starts to feel the strain into his fingers as he picks the strings faster and faster. As his turn is over, he pants softly* whoa, dude, this is getting tougher than I could think about!!! Who loses pays another drink for everyone around here, 'kay?? *he smirks and looks at him with his green impish eyes*

"That sounds like a plan, brother." He said, sweat also beginning to form on his brow as he continued to pluck the banjo in a fast, upbeat tempo. His foot was tapping up and down like a beach ball in time with the tune. It had been years since he last played, but he still had it.

Johnny simply watched the two musicians playing the blistering refrains of the song with a look of total astonishment on his face. He was especially surprised by how well Feingo was playing the banjo, since he had never seen any indication of the soldier's interest in the instrument before. As the two "virtuosos" neared the climax of the song, Johnny let out a loud whoop, cheering them on.

*he even pokes his tongue out as he frowns, concentrating on the tune he's playing when...* KLANG!! *the thinner string breaks leaving him with a quite stoned expression on his snout* nuuuh.... dammit!! *he starts laughing out loudly and looks at the instrument* it was so close!! *he gently lays the guitar onto the table top and gets up, bowing to Feingo, with a big grin* Thank you sir, you are a great opponent and an awesome banjo player. Barman, please offer another run of beer to the whole crew here! The lizard pays tonight!! *he chuckles and slams a good handful of coins onto the counter, smirking as the metal jingles under his scaled palm*
