And now, a list of all of JP's gaming consoles for you puny mortals to drool over:
Nintendo Entertainment System (that's right, the original 8-bit NES, and it still works... mostly)
Sega Genesis (also works... usually)
Gameboy (2 in original gray, plus 2 Gameboy Colors)
Nintendo N64 (bought it cheap, still manage to find games for it on eBay and such)
Gameboy Advanced (the oldschool NES style one)
Sony Playstation (that's PS1, baby!)
Sega Dreamcast (sadly doesn't work as well as it used to)
Sony Playstation 2
At this rate, the next console I'll be buying will probably be a DS, because there's a ton of games for it and it's a helluva lot cheaper than any home consoles at the moment. Plus, i'm a bit of a *cough* Pokemon addict *cough*

I used to be. I kind of stopped bothering after Silver and Gold though. I just thought the number of pokemon to collect started to become ridiculous.

Looks like, though I don't have the longest list of consoles, I do have the oldest so far. Master System was Sega's first, Mega Drive their second. Not sure, but I think even Saturn was before Genesis. Actually, I don't have a Master System.. I have a Master System II, heh. It was quite cool, actually. Had a game that you could play without inserting any cartridges, Alex Kidd. Funfun.

Actually, forget what I said about having the oldest. I just looked it up, and the NES is older than the original Master System.

 to each his own, I guess, I'm certainly not one to judge. I only played because it was a relatively simple premise for a game that just got more complex the further you got into it, which I liked. To this day, though, I've never actually finished a Pokemon game... I ended up getting too distracted on trying to level up nearly every Pokemon I had to equal levels before running off to the next gym battle, meaning I was putting in hundreds of hours of gametime trying to level my weaker Pokemon through random encounters... I always tried to keep my pokemon more or less equal levels, too. I did, however, completely finish my Red version - meaning beating the Elite four AND catching all 150, with the help of my sister, who had Blue (we only bought one version each to start with). I can't remember if I ever finished Yellow, Gold or Silver.
Oh, and I only find pokemon sexy when they've been drawn that way.

I owned both Red and Blue, Yellow, Silver (until it was stolen), Crystal, and the newest version I have is actually Fire Red (basically the update for Red on GBA).
I really liked the Gold/Silver gen games, if only for the clock that followed the time of day. Sadly, the internal clock for my Crystal game went kaput, and now it only works when I have the game on, meaning game time doesn't synch up with real time anymore. No more staying up late to catch night-time pokemon, or getting up early for the morning ones. It's a feature that some folks criticized, but I sort of liked... *sigh*

That whole clock thing is reminding me a lot of one of my personall favorite games, Animal Crossing.

Ah, Dell. I'm using a Dell Vostro 1500 (Vostro is the new Inspiron; I had an Inspiron 1720, but spilled water all over it and it went kablooey). Oh, and that clock thing in Gold/Silver was annoying at times, but made it more of a challenge.

My Vostro's been fine really, thanks. My old Inspiron had a problem with sound that my Vostro doesn't, which I'm glad of.

hmm... well is your computer usually faster?
if it is... turn it ALL OFF... i like to do this a lot as it gets rid of all programs and clears the command prompt script... i usually do this at the power bar...
if its just a slow computer just leave it for now i guess...
if your using dial up then yea its gonna be slow... if your using Hi-Speed like me and its slow you have a lot of things on your comp...
if you still ahev a question ask me and i'll try to help a little with it...
OH are you using AOL? if you are if you would be so kind as to... oop nvm this is public forum damnit... if u had AOL and you told me your Screen name i could PM you... but i guess not... as its against policy here more than likely

I'm here, Dakota, I just had a few things to do before hand. By the way, Kingdom Hearts III is, as far as I've heard and believe me when I say I looked, going to be a PS3 exclusive game. I do not play online games anymore and I'm almost exclusively a console gamer. Now, I hate to do this to you all, but I'm about to leave you all in the dust. My console list:
