"yeah, home sweet home." The young guy gives a brief look around, smiling to himself for the curious gazes and glances people walking by throw at him. Not an everyday sight, as he is, in fact, an azure-scaled dragon... or so he looks like one, wrapped into a dark grey mantle, barely letting anything to be seen but his head and tail. As the door of his new flat creaks open, letting sunlight spread in the empty room behind it, he steps in and looks around, letting his green sparkling eyes get the habit to the demi-darkness of the place. He sniffles around, his pointed snout tasting the air as it smells so sweet and warm, his long shiny tail wagging happily and sinuously as he checks all over the new flat he just paid himself for in one of the most famous cities ever. As he closes the door leading to the main street, he spreads the heavy curtain covering the windows. He gives a look out, watching people passing by, and smiling softly at the sight of the 'Delight Castle' on top of the hill. He gets rid of his heavy coat, letting it slip off on the marble floor, his bare paws kicking it aside as he starts unbuttoning the tight black shirt he was hiding underneath it, revealing the golden pads of his chest. He twitches his earfans, his head covered with soft azure spikes as he sighs with relief, once untieing the belt he uses to hang his silver long sword at, letting it drop on the sofa as he gets rid of his shirt as well, sitting on the leather sofa just wearing his black velvet trousers, pouring himself some good wine from the liquors' table into a silver cup, sipping from it as the three red scars under each eye gleam with a brighter sanguine hue. A silver triskell pendant hangs from his neck over his chest, a blue stone carved in the middle. He was, in fact, a knight, from a far away kingdom. He decided to move here to forget. Despite his quite young age - he's just 21, after all - he has seen too much already, and that marked his life forever.

He lays the empty cup back on the table, and thinks to himself.

"Now, I need for a job."

It's an honour to be here among you, and a pleasure to have the possibility to finally enjoy the awesome work of Vanessa, one of my favourite artists ever. I must say, I really like the whole community behind all this, and I hope I will be able one day to call this place "home". *having reached for the castle and for the local lounge bar, well wrapped in his mysterious looking mantle, he stands upon a corner and looks around, hoping to meet someone interesting that maybe could introduce him to the place, and to other people as well. He really didn't know anyone yet, and he is not really feeling at ease yet, a stranger among strangers. Suddently, a big feline guy appears in front of him, offering a drink and a seat. He smiles gently, his green eyes dazzling with a soft warm hue.*

*he sits down and gulps from the glass the tiger offered him*

My name is Taliesin, and I am a knight... well, in fact, I was a bard. But had to be trained in the arts of war as my country has been invaded. I hope I will be able to leave my past behind and have shelter over here, maybe getting back playing the fiddle as I used to in the good old times.

Welcome to the message board, amigo. Don't worry too much about all this talk about "no dragons in Bon Bon". Heck, even if you're something as "mundane" as a frilled lizard on the outside, if you're a dragon on the inside and carry yourself as such, that's all that counts.

Speaking out of character for a moment... Another member, henkcobra, is a Cobra, which means he's a reptile as well. Beyond that, we've seen birds in the comic, another member (whose name I forget at the moment) has discribed himself as a toad, and everyone's favorite platypus Martin is a monotreme, of course! I don't see why there'd be any trouble with another reptile character in the forum...

The whole ban on fantasy characters has been here for a while. Our very own Drake_Skyflyer, if I'm not mistaken, originally had his character with wings before he was informed of the lack of fantasy creatures in the world of Bon Bon. And yes, I've mentioned this numerous times (enough that the older members are probably tired of hearing it, I'm sure ), but my original character concept was almost going to be a Jackalope.

*he smiles and nods to Johnny* I see, Sir. Thank you for the kind reassuring words, I really feel more comfortable now. *he gently wags his tail, blushing a little at Gray's words* o-oh... I beg your pardon, Sir. My most sincere apologies about that, Mr. Gray. *he scritches his own scaley head, quite embarassed.* Finally looking towards Vanessa, a big grin appear on his azure scaled snout, making him eyes gleam with a soft hue of green* I am honoured to be here among you guys. I must say, I've found myself looking at this wonderful community many times before getting the decision to join, and it was one of the very reasons helping make my mind up. Thank you again for your kind words, Vanessa. I'll do my very best to be considered one of you as soon as possible.

Well, other than your wonderful little intro here good sir, theres a thread to post avatar descriptions for new members, so others can get the full details on you.

There are various discussions to partake in, two members have started RP threads, and as long as long as you and Vanessa have an agreement, then your character sounds like he'll fit right in.


Now, if you count it, the strip poker pictures we had donated to the site have Duo in it, which he was a reptilian character based off a vaporeon.

I used to feel quite lost on the first couple days, but I really got some of my self-confidence back now. I must say, I am more than willing to share adventures with other members, and to join discussions with the community as well. And, as soon as possible, I'll make sure you will have a good, detailed description of my whole anatomy. I just hope I won't scare nor displease anyone... lizards are reptiles after all, and I am quite... exotic.
