apparantly, voting is continuing through the end of march...
i was still able to vote today (April 1st)
so keep it up, vote as long as the site is up - we have to be in the final stretch now...

Bad news gang; I think the voting is closed.  I went to the site today for my daily vote and found that while all the pics are still there, the option to vote for any of the girls is gone. Hopefully everyone pitched in and poured in enough votes for our lovely lady to win.  Nothing to do now but await the results!!! Good luck darling

Hi Everyone
I am having good thoughts and hoping that all of us in AB NATION helped pull off a big win for Alley. I know that I and many, many of you put in alot of our time voting over and over again day in and day out for months. I don't even have a clue how many votes I cast for Alley, but it was a ton. I know that many of you did the same and then some. So, here is hoping that all of our hard work paid off in helping Alley. Hopefully we will know real soon if Alley is the Triple Crown winner of the PM-MOY!
Anyway, I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone out there that voted. This is really important to Alley. So hopefully we can all celebrate real soon, knowing that we all played a big part in her success. Alley deserves all good things that happen to her in her life and her career. We all have our fingers crossed for you Alley. You deserve it and you are beautiful and you have a way of making all of our days a little better, and put a smile on our faces. You are a class act, and we thank you for all you do for us.

hey kayser - thx for that link... hopefully those figures are correct 
well, i did a lil math w/ the stats that are there:
it says there were a total of 96,256 votes...
subtracting the votes it says Alley and those other 3 models received, that leaves a total of 67,198 votes for the other 16 models.
so if we average that out, the others would only receive about 4,200 votes each!! that leaves quite a margin for Alley!
another way to look at it is - Alley received 15% of the votes, leaving the others to share about 4.5% of the votes each!! it IS looking good 
What do you mean....exactly. I missed the #'s you are speaking of.

I don't know.
While I'm excited at the prospect of those Alley votes, that page doesn't seem current. It says look for the new edition of "Nudes" January 30th. So maybe it's a tally ending 2006?!
On the brighter side, since we continued to vote daily until March07, those numbers would've continued to rise.
If she wins, she owes each one of us a long french, tongue probing tongue , kiss.
I, of course, will be first in line cuz the only spit I want in my mouth is Alley's.

| If this is true, it won't be the first time our queen won the popular vote and the editors chose their favorite. The same thing happened when the Christianson girl won. For all we know Alley won the last 5 or 6 years. |

This is truly terrible news. I'm really interested on how the voting was tallied. I personally would like to thank everybody for voting for Alley as she is truly worthy of all the love and the support she gets. I know that she will saying winning MOY twice was truly an honor and that's amazing in it of itself, but winning a third time would remove any doubt about her and the AB Nation. I am truly disappointed because we all came together for this effort and it didn't pan out. I know she wanted to see if winning a 3rd MOY could launch her acting career. I would like to know her thoughts on this now.

I hope that's not true, chico. If it is, then it is like Florida all over again. You mentioned the Christianson woman winning a few years ago. I always wondered...THAT many people voted for her over ALLEY???  It just didn't make any sense. As of this year's MOY...she's okay. She's like a lot of the choices...beautful and a great body but nothing that suggest that we'll be talking about her years from now.
PBSE has ALWAYS mentioned Alley having a rabid fan base and her popularity still being strong. I wonder if they want to spread the title out to other models to give them more exposure. I mean I could understand Kitana Baker won after the whole Miller Lite beer fight she did years ago. What is she doing now? Back to doing PBSE I guess. I guess it's safe to say that Alley is the only two-time MOY winner and will be the ONLY two-time winner if the editors have anything to say about it. 
Despite this setback, I hope that you all are still writing and e-mailing PBSE about coming out with an all-Alley issue. It's the LEAST PBSE can do for Alley and her 'rabid fan base'!!! |

I think that there is somthing very wrong with the voting and the selection of the PB-MOY!!!! I know that I myself, must have voted at least 500 or 600 times for Alley. Okay, and that is just me. I know all so very well, that there are many, many of you out there in AB Nation that voted at least as much as I did. And I know that some of you voted alot more than I did. That was just with all of us here in AB Nation. Consider the fact that there were also 1,000's and 1,000's of votes from people that have been fans of Alley's for many years. So I can't help but to believe that this MOY selection is ligit. 
I think it's all just a way to get a buzz going about the SP Issue. I think that Playboy, knows who they want to be MOY long before the voting begins. I think they make all this fuss about voting for months, to build up the Issue before it hits the stands. It is probibly 1 of their biggest sellers every year. But they know who they want to be SE-MOY. And they make it happen. We have no idea, how the votes and tallies are done, and verifiyed. Playboy says it's all ligit. Then show us the numbers and where they came from, and who tallied them. I cannot believe that all of us here in AB Nation and everyone else of Alley's fan base, that she would not beat out this Breann chick. This chic is a little above average at best. Not only does Alley absolutly blow her out of the water, but there were also at least 3 other lady's that had more going for them than her. This Breann is no way the MOY on a ligit basis. But good ol Heff loves the Big Blondes with the big fake boobs so Heff always has the final word.
I think that Heff and everyone involved at the PBSE, everyone of them need a ennima and need to get thier heads out of thier asses and run a ligit voting standard and let the public decide the MOY!!!! Instead of who Heff wants to win!!!! There was no way Alley didn't win this thing with the voting!!!!
Anyway, like Tyger I would also like to thank everyone of you out there in AB Nation for voting for Alley!!!! She was the best of the Top 20 and we all knew she was the MOY. So thank you all for your time and effort in voting for Alley!!! But in our minds and hearts we all know that she is THE MODEL OF THE YEAR, year in and year out!!!!!!!!!!

That is worth more to me than any title...or any award I could ever get!! Words....can't describe what you mean to me. I really am VERY thankful that you are there for me...when I need you....and there for me to make me smile, laugh and get turned on!

I can say this though....It is June 4th....and I haven't shot for them....and their cover supposedly comes out at the end of this month. What is kind of weird though...is that I sent Jeff Cohen (cheif editior of Playboy's Newsstand Specials) 3 of my latest pictures that I took about 2 weeks ago for you guys. The pictures I sent.....were HOT!!!! My body looks GREAT and everything turned out really really good too! Anyway....I haven't heard back from him. I sent the pix about a week ago. Usually he responds the next day. So I sent him another email...this time without pix asking if he ever got the images...and still no reply. I sent that second email today. It's kind of strange.....
Anyway....just thought I would share that with you.

That is why I am glad that you have your own personal website.
Whether or not, Playboy, Import Magazine, or any other publication that you have posed for, properly acknowledges your popularity, is not important.
Alley, maybe you should consider the fact that you have evolved beyond the "World Of Playboy." And that's not necessarily a bad thing.
This is where you can express yourself creatively, via photos & videos. And correspond with your audience, who continue to love, support, & appreciate you.
You have proven that in the world of glamour photography & nudes, that you are icon, not a "flash in the pan."
So please continue growing & expessing yourself the way you see fit.

Well, the most deserving doesn't always win... that's a fact of life. I'm sure Alley is fine with whatever results or acknowledgments that come her way.
I believe that the love and joy that she gets from this forum and all her loyal members is what gives her the most satisfaction and happiness.
Anyway, Alley is always a winner in our book (I speak on behalf of the AB nation!).

Alley, i'm sorry that those idiots at PBSE cannot deal with the fact that you should have won every year since you first appeared... maybe it is true that they are more concerned w/ their sales, and hype up the whole voting thing, while the winner is chosen before the contest even begins??
you can be assured that Jeff guy will get a few emails from me
and what's up w/ him not responding to you, Alley?? i think he is afraid that we have all figured out their little scheme over there... 
but, i'm glad to see that it hasn't bothered you - and it shouldn't... because you KNOW that you will always be our model of the year, every year!!

Seriously, Breann McGregor? Of all the models in the top 20, SHE won? Not that I don't think she's attractive, but I agree with the person who said there were at least 5 other girls, (MOST IMPORTANTLY ALLEY HERSELF) who were better than her. But then again, Playboy/Hef has always had a serious thing for busty blondes and Breann definately fits that bill. Still Alley, we love you and we're glad you know how much we supported you!

These are parts of what I wrote a month ago, and it applies now more than ever.
It doesn't bother me that Playboy doesn't have Alley listed as a candidate anymore.
Remember, Playboy is only one aspect of the world of glamour photography. That is why I am glad that there are other publications & websites, in order to explore such different views of glamour & beauty.
Most importantly, I am glad that Alley has the creativity, inspiration, & drive to have her own website. This way we don't have to worry about whether we will see Alley, or wonder how many pages she gets, or how many votes she got, etc...
At least here, we get the best aspects of what Alley has to offer, without all of the complications.

I actually typed out my response to the latest Tyger posting in this thread but my browser bugged out so it all got erased......Anyway, I would just like to say that something happened between someone (not saying because I don't want to make this into a big deal)and I which is why I'm not surprised I'm not including in the running for the next BOL MOY. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for voting for me and giving me your continued support though!
YDB is right.....at least you have me HERE which is the BEST place to get me....because you get 100% ALLEY all of the time without any of the BS. I mean who really does know if the voting is really rigged or not and your vote be counted with consideration? This is the ONLY place and the BEST place where you can get as personal with me as possible. (with the exception of KEEN of course : ) But yes here.....you are guaranteed to get FRESH new never before seen images of mine and MUCH more!

I am glad that you, and some of my fellow AB comrades, agree with me.
It seems that when certain models attain a special status among the followers of the Playboy publications, those in the positions of control appear to be threatened by their popularity, and incapable of sharing the limelight.
It appears that now more than ever, that Playboy Enterprises is only willing to promote their newer CyberGirls, Coeds, Vixens, Playmates, etc., whose success is exclusive to the Playboy brand. And not too interested in having a more equal partnership with the models whose popularity has transcended their universe.
Alley, since you are the last of the "90's" models, that I followed in the Special Editions, it truly is an ending of an era. Which I most clearly say, for me, has now lost its luster.

Anyway, I wrote a particularly long e-mail to Playboy Special Editions about my (as well as the rest of the ABNation's) thoughts about the vote on Monday. This is the e-mail that I sent to them.

She has a die-hard fan base because her beauty is eloquently expressed in her photographs and is appreciated by those who follow her. It's the same reason she has stayed so popular for so long while other models (including those who've won the MOY after Alley's second win) have faded away.
It is my hope that you please answer my e-mail as soon as possible so that you can redress the issues I've laid out to you. I also hope that you will consider making an all-Alley Baggett Special Edition issue. Alley is a one-of-a-kind person and should be rightfully recognized as such by Playboy as its most decorated model by having her featured in an all-new issue all by herself, an honor that she's truly earned (also something I don't think has been done before to my knowledge). Again, please e-mail back to me to at least let me know what you think. Thank you very much for you patience and consideration. |
Yesterday, PBSE actually wrote back to me about my concerns (it might have been from Jeff Cohen). I thought I'd post it for all (including Alley) to see.

So there you have it. The e-mail didn't mention anything about receiving any of Alley's newest pix though. Do I believe them? I dunno. Like YDB, the issue is moot to me now. I just thought that you all would get a kick out of it. Equally sucky is that it seems that Playboy won't consider an all-Alley issue, too. Oh well, that just means Alley can devote herself to her website and we can devote ourselves to her w/o Playboy getting in the way!!!
BTW, I wrote them back to thank them for the reply and for them to reconsider an all-Alley issue. |
