Unfortunately it would be difficult, not to mention probably dangerous, to attempt to dig up information in Bon Bon. It's against the town's first law, as Mr. Blue pointed out to hapless hero.

Now there's an idea. And depending on the rest of Bon Bon's laws, it mught just be possible. Definitely something to look into...

True, true. But that would boost sales. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Something else I've been wondering about recently. How politically active are Bon Bon's citizens? People like Simon Blue, for instance. I can't help but wonder how Bon Bon would fit in to the armistice movement that swept through Europe during the 1890's. From what I understand, Bon Bon is fairly secluded from the outside world's political problems, but some things everybody has an opinion on.
I also wonder how World War I would affect Bon Bon. Granted, that's still in the town's future, but I still wonder. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Maybe the only politicaly active citizen of Bon Bon is Simon Blue.In a town where everyone comes to enjoy himself and if necessary,to hide, why would anyone care whats going on in the outside world.
As for WWI,maybe Bon Bon will remain a place of pleasure and peace, amongst a war torn world _________________ F.E.A.R.™-Fatal.Effluent.Assault.Rhymes™

It would certainly make sense that Bon Bon would be left alone, if, for no other reason, it could be a neutral place in the war, an R&R location for all peoples involved. Of course, when did war start making sense? (Methinks I just toyed with the lock of a Pandora's Box of war opinions with that last comment but I still feel it needed to be said.) _________________ Silentium est aurum |

I'd easily see the town of BonBon staying safe and neutral during wartime, if it stays relatively the same in the two decades between the current story and the start of WWI. A well-hidden place of pleasure like that may just be able to stay out of everyone's sights for long enough... but the outside world would still find a way to affect the insulated BonBon community, even if subtly. I can easily see BonBon becoming a haven for spies and espionage during wartime, considering its rules on not asking anybody about their pasts. This may eventually cause some trouble with neighboring governments, and by the time the second World War is gearing up, even BonBon may have trouble keeping itself out of harm's way.
Of course, this is all purely speculation, theory, and prediction... And until someone in BonBon builds a time-machine, all talk of future wars are pretty much nonsense at this point in its history.
As for politics, it really would be interesting to find out if there are any other people or groups who perhaps directly oppose Mr. Blue politically... _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

Not to mention what lack of buisness it will be when the war is at its peek! Most of the men are going to be on the front line and the women will have to take their place at work, while not counting the goverment which will be breathing down the neck of anyone its suspicious about! And as Johnny sugested, there might be spies in Bon Bon,which make things difficult enough. As if,normaly, war isnt enough... _________________ F.E.A.R.™-Fatal.Effluent.Assault.Rhymes™

Another issue, another cover. This creates multiple new lines of inquiry, naturally, and should be the focus of an inordinate amount of baseless forum poster speculation. So far as I can determine, these lines of inquiry are:
1. It seems Mary and Betty knew each other, or will know each other, far more intimately than previous expected. Anyone wishing to guess on the nature of this relationship? I suspect it is something in the near future, but a flashback cannot be discounted.
2 Violet is in on it. Whatever it is. What is her role in it? Similarly, William seems out of the loop, as per usual. I suspect Mary's virtue is irritatingly safe for the immediate future.
3. When is the nest page going to be finished so we can find out? _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |

The best part,i think when awaiting something new,is trying to understand,to guess what secrets it holds. It makes it all the more rewarding when you see it for the first time.
Hmm...about Mary and Betty's relationship, well we know where thats going. The question is what purpose does it serve. Is Mary doing so to spike her dad,or to experience sex without losing her virginity,or maybe thats how their relationship is build.
As for Violet's role in it,i can only guess and who knows, maybe Mary isnt as safe as we think she is! _________________ F.E.A.R.™-Fatal.Effluent.Assault.Rhymes™

I myself had thought of that before, about Mary, Betty and the extent of their relationship but I don't think it got very far, something about the shadow behind Mary in Issue #2 page 27 makes me think and I quote "Uh-oh". Could it be a younger, thinner Simon Blue, or a/the previous butler maybe? As for Violet's role in it, if she was in Bon Bon at the time, I think maybe Betty either introduced them through the gate or she only told Violet about Mary, and maybe vice versa, but was'nt able to introduce them. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Yeah you're right Its in "Page 31,issue 2" on the second page. There Vanessa realy did say that they had never met.But whos to say that they didnt know about each other. After all lets look at the facts-Violet is Betty's best friend and Betty and Mary do know each other, now more intimately.Sure they have never met,but all of them are sort of famous in Bon Bon. _________________ F.E.A.R.™-Fatal.Effluent.Assault.Rhymes™

True, Bon Bon is a neutral town, a bit like Switzerland!
Violet has been working at the Delight Castle for just one year, and Betty chose her as best friend because she's a simple girl, obedient and happy; a person with which Betty feels at ease since she makes her forget her worries.
Betty will decide to confide something about her past to her, and Violet, as you can see in the cover, accepted promptly to keep silent! Meanwhile, William starts to have some suspicions.
The past of Mary and Betty isn't limited to their meeting as children. They kept meeting each other for some years, up to a certain point. Someone found them out... But was he truly unaware of their meetings, or was he faking ignorance, waiting for the right moment?
At the time of Edelweiss the twins Dalila and Ophelia (that as an adult dyed her hair) were around already, having been abandoned on the Delight Castle's doorstep as babies; of course they weren't allowed to work the way the other girls do when they were young! While growing up they started helping with the house chores, and upon reaching maturity they decided what to do of their future. In Bon Bon, in fact the exploitation of children is strictly forbidden!
Betty will get in later, and we'll soon see how. _________________

Well, that answers a few questions, thank you Ms.Santato. If the shadow behind the two when they first met belonged to the someone who found them out, I'd say he was "faking ignorance, waiting for the right moment". If not, who knows (aside for you, of course)? I'm sure we'll find out in due time. As for how the Champagne Sisters came to be at the Delight Castle, I had often wondered on the specifics of how the various girls had come to be there. We find in Issue #2 that Edelweiss had rescued Betty from her stepfather and now you tell us Dalila and Ophelia were left on the Delight Castle doorsteps as babies but I wonder, would you enlighten us as to the circumstances of how the other girls came to be here as well? _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Maybe it is just the way my mind works, but something instantly jumped out at me in this first page of #4. That vixen maid (a fennec?) stands out like a sore thumb. Not from her far more modest and dark attire, but by the expression on her face. She looks upset and unhappy with things to my eyes, which seems like a very strange set of affairs in Delight Castle, even for a servant.
A multitude of experience has always taught me that it is the quiet ones you need to keep your eye on. _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |

I can see what you mean, kommy, though I don't really think she looks "upset and unhappy". She does look a little odd, though, I'll give you that. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Well, Kommy... this is just an hypothesis (despite me being the official translator, Vanessa doesn't tell everything to me), but maybe the young maid in full maid getup is either part of the standard (i.e. non-sexual) staff, or she's just too young (and from what Vanessa said, Edelweiss is VERY strict about that little bit); either way, she's given the task, and probably paid, to help, but she's not allowed to participate to any erotic shenanigans, including wearing the "official Delight Castle uniform", so to speak |

I recall us talking about a police force, neighborhood watch, etc, but with everyone minding their own buisness and everyone being discreet, what is the crime rate like in Bon Bon? whats is a "night out on the streets" of Bon Bon like? Do women (and men) have to be on the look out for bandits and highway men as they make their way to their homes and hotels?
I was curious, for it may be a crucial point in a story I'm working on Vanessa. Also, not to normally be a nitpick on continuity, but I couldn't help but notice the scrumptous vixen in the red and pink outfit (where the back opens all the way down ) I notice first she's not wearing panties, the next block she is. No real complaint, just noticing. I love her hair as well. _________________ The suspense is killing me. I hope it will last. |

Yes Kommy, brava, she is a fennec!
Martin is right , you will check page 2 to discover more details.
Labrn, the girl in red and pink dress is not a vixen but a cat ( she have some clear spots on her fur) , we have already seen she near the pink bunny with blue hair in the past ...someone remember where? _________________

I remember seeing her, and I found her to confirm this, on Edelweiss right hand in the first page of Issue #3 and you are correct, Cesar, that same page is used as the cover for the Royal Members Comics Gallery. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Another intresting sight caught my eye while re-reading the story, in page 22 of issue #2, the lady at the bottom of the page, on the left, looks remarkably similar to the lady saying "Yeah! Yes, let's go do some "public relations"!" in the first page of issue #4, though I'm not 100% sure they're the same woman. Thoughts anyone? _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Doh Sorry to confuse one genus for another. If I'm not told or if it isn't painfuly obvious, I could never get someone's species down right. I guess I didn't take a close enough look (some gals in BonBon might not like men staring at them ;P) _________________ The suspense is killing me. I hope it will last. |
