Unfortunately work and other real life issues have kept me away for several weeks, and I was so looking forward to coming back and catching up ... but on viewing the recent photosets I was disappointed.

As always the subject matter is delectable ( of course ! ) but stylistically the recent photosets have changed for the worse - in my opinion. Over experimentation with shadows, soft focus ( some are just plainly out of focus ) and the images have taken on a very muddy/drab tonal hue or colour cast. Furthermore the selection of shots seems to be fewer.

I presume the intent was for a more evocative, moody and atmospheric feel to the photographs. But the effect hasn't been achieved. I'm trying to fight the urge to take the images into Photoshop and adjust levels/highlights/tonality.

It pains me to type all this Alley, for I don't want it to be taken as a personal insult. I know you take your work seriously and I felt that I should at least state my views once, to allow you to reflect and decide on what direction to pursue. I will trust in your judgement.

Ok, I'll go and have my last supper and prepare for the gallows and stoning to come !

for me are Alleys recent photo sets really great pics. I think, it´s Alley special aura, that she makes often new things and changed her style in her awesome sets. Other models makes always the same pics, but Alley isn´t so and changed for time to time her appearance. Sometimes only a little bit, sometimes a little bit more.

For me is this one reason, why i´m admired her work so much and why i´m fallen under her unique spell. For me are Alleys actual blurred pics very good for my hot imagination about the beauty and sexiness of Alleys spectacular super-sexy-dream-body (private) parts.

I´m also understand your opinion a little bit, than it´s also absolute super-sexy and so hot, too see Alleys goodies totally clear. I like both style of Alleys gorgeous sets.

Hi Xaldub,

I am sorry that you might be a little disappointed with some of Alley's recent sets. That's okay Xaldub you are entitled to your opinion. You always have to keep in mind though 1 really important thing. PHOTOGRAPHY IS A FORM OF ART AND EXPRESSION!!!! So, that being said, not absolutly every single person see's things or shot's the same way. And that is the beauty of photographic art! Anyway, she is doing alot of different things with lighting and focus and I personaly think she is on the right track. I love what she has done and I hope that she continues to learn and keep going forward with her creativity. That's what makes Alley so speical!!!

But regardless of what Alley does or doesn't do with her sets, there is 1 very important thing to always remember when viewing them!!!!!!!

WE GET TO SEE BEAUTIFUL ALLEY IN ALL HER SETS !!!!!!

Now Xaldub, how could that possibly disappoint any of us! Alley always just jumps right out of the screen with her amazing beauty!!!!!!!!

Alley will probably hate me, but I say I have to agree with Xaldub

Art, expression, etc etc are fair enough, but the main reason I subscribe is to be turned on - simple as that. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I'm a single, red blooded hetrosexual male...it's a natural reaction.

Three sets in January, and none of them gave me any sort of "rise" at all.

Sorry Alley......no offence, but I want to be honest.

And I have no intention of cancelling my membership

I agree with LosihoTT. For me a "bad" Alley photo is still better than none at all, but I just think this latest trend in presentation blunts Alley's radiance. I'm all for experimenting with different creative techniques and whatnot, but sometimes the effect doesn't work and it's best to move on.

And to clarify matters further - I'm not talking about what Alley is "showing", or not as the question may be. I'm talking purely the stylistic presentation.

And yes, I too will not be cancelling my membership. Alley remains the same warm, friendly and talented individual ( as she ever was ) - and that is as good a reason to stay as any !

It's so awesome to have a forum where people can express their opinions. It's even better when Alley listens to them. Personally I like the more "racier" sets, but thats just me.

My membership will continue on, as is has since 1998. I'll never stop loving Alley.

AW a big thanks to Santiago and everyone else. I respect everyone's opinion....good or bad. Don't worry I am steering away from that shadowy look. I love it....and I'll use....BUT I certainly don't want to overdue it. I understand all of what you said before you even said it...so....there might be another set or two that have a shadow look to it...within the next 2 or 3 months but then I won't do anymore....It will just force me to come up with a new look.....perhaps using a completely different style?

One thing you can be sure of though.....the style of pics wont always look the same.

Sometime soon....we are adding a special section to my site...for costume themed photo sets....done in the traditional lighting and solid background to make each costume pop! It should be super cool!!

I did not want to say anything actually cos I did not get much feedback for the "least favourite set" when I did the Year-in-review 2006 thread. But I have to agree with LosihoTTT and Xaldub

I agree that any set with you is still good. I also understand that you should let free your creativity. I just want to say thanks for listening and respecting our opinions, Alley. You can be sure that we respect yours too!
