My excited post is the same as Silva's, I just am having a hard time expressing happiness right now.My nephews funeral was Friday, needed some time to get to where I could even think about logging online. But, thank you so very much Vanessa, I'm thrilled to see the outcome. I would guess a scene with Violet works nicely, as Silva kind of called dibs Betty (though either is fine by me). Actually with Violet, I could see that working into an interesting plot device down the road, like maybe Violet uses some new sex technique on Betty, that sends her over the edge quickly,and she asks where Violet learned that, which would in turn set up for Me to come back to the castle on royal invite.

Pass up a chance for a roll in the bedsheets with Betty? When is that chance ever going to come up again?

There are a lot of ladies in BonBon, both from the cast created by Vanessa and created by other royal members, that I would love to "spend some time with", but this is essentially a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, one wish to have whatever I want; I fully intend to get the most out of this opportunity that I can, and that is being with a character that I adore the most. Truth is, I'd rather have a roll in the sheets with Mary, but I know the chances of that actually being a viable option are lower than winning the lotto ten times in a row. Mary sits at the top of my list of favourite ladies in BonBon, hands down; Betty is No. 2. But Betty is by no means lagging behind Mary in how much I like her. It's actually quite a close call for who claims spots 1 and 2 on that list.

But it's not just about how much I like one character over another. It's the setting. It's being a part of the story itself, albeit at a limited capacity. One can easily be with almost any character on their list of liked ladies via a simple commission, given that permission is given by the lady's owner. And if one is an artist themself, well... who needs permission to draw your own fantasy as long as only you see it? But actually being integrated into the comic, becoming a canon part of its world and events sets things to a more unattainable level, a much more coveted prize. We're not just talking about any female cast member, here; we're talking about Betty, the creme-da-la-creme, the one ever male, and probably many females, in BonBon seek to be with but cannot. Forget not Betty's status within the Delight Castle. To be among the few who can boast having enjoyed the pleasure of her company is no small matter to put aside and say "next time".

I mean no offence to the other ladies of BonBon, but they simply aren't Betty. A baker, a painter, a gardener; as attractive as they may be, the opportunities to be with them are far greater than being with the elite of the elite within the Delight Castle. You say that you are surprised we'd choose to be with Betty or Violet over another Royal Member. I'm surprised you wouldn't.

Betty and Violet are both equally sexy in my opinion. If i ever get the chance to have a sex scene with either of them, i would be perfectly happy with either one.

Funnily enough i don't think my character would ever be involved in a sex scene XD. At least not without some serious build up due to his personal views on the matter.

I know. Which is kinda why I found it funny you didn't ask for a scene like that first, before saying "Oh, if I have to choose from Betty or Violet, I'll pick X". Just my oddball sense of humor found that amusing.

You do make a good set of points and reasons. Though... I'm not sure I would have picked Betty.

For some reason, Betty has started to... sour on me. No where near as Red has (and for that matter, Red has always felt skin-crawly to me), but... she seems to be more self-destructive than she started out. Now, that could very well be character development... but... I can't quite put my finger on it. Betty just... seems slightly out-of-focus... like a camera lens that is one or two clicks away from where it should be.

Hrm... maybe it does have something to do with her status as the Princess of Bon Bon. She knows she's the pinnacle prize, and it is beginning to take her down some darker decisions. For me, Violet just enjoys the act of sex and the people she has sex and spends time with. Violet finds it fun for a laundry-list of reasons. Betty, on the other hand,... lately, seems to be using the act with some more ulterior motives, and to begin to drive wedges between people. For example, Betty's tryst with Roland seemed more out of spite towards Red and to take advantage of Roland's adoration of her, than actually spending time with a resident of Bon Bon that she cares about... if that makes sense. It's as if she's realized that being Princess in Bon Bon grants her some sort of immunity to her own actions, and it's letting her become more rebellious to the status-quo... but in a way that can very well end up being harmful to her, and to those she cares about. I could just be over-thinking it too.

Anyway Silv and Toonaxe, congrats on getting scripted into the big story. ))

No, no. I know what you mean.

I'm not sure she is doing it deliberately, or consciously, but Betty definitely has some... distracting matters on her mind, that are resulting in her making some choices that she otherwise might not have made.

Being betrayed by Red, the chance of finally getting to see Mary, and other smaller matters are most certainly weighing on her mind.

But I think her actions also show that she is just like any other person, despite her status. She's not infallible and just as prone to desire as anyone else. I think that this makes her more interesting and complex, allowing us to see the emotional struggles that she is dealing with and understand her point of view on matters.

She hasn't done anything really wrong or bad, but she's definitely stepped into the morally grey area a few times and I'd much rather read about someone like that than someone who is "perfect" and always making the right choices all the time.

Perfection is over rated. One's ability to deal with the troubles and problems in life is what shows their true strength. No one can go through life and not come out at the end without a little dirt under their fingernails or a few scuffs on their shoes.
