This is one question that I have tried to ignore for a very long time, mostly because of my own personal opinion on who Mary should hook up with. In my opinion Mary should be with Betty, because their bond with each other is very strong and who knows how much stronger that bond would become once they develop a romantic relationship with each other.
With William on the other hand I can’t really see him and Mary as a couple, Mostly due to several factors like him pretending to be her father’s gay butler, Red being engaged to Mary, William satisfying his sexual urges with the girls of the Delight Castle, him being in it all for the money, and because he is being blackmailed by Betty to make sure that she knows what is going on in Blue Manor.
But maybe I’m wrong about all those assumptions and sometime down the road maybe they will fall in love with each other, however, it all seems very unlikely to me and I wouldn’t really be too happy if it did happen. What do you guy’s think? Would Mary and William fall in love with each other? Should they fall in love with each other? I’d like to hear what you have to say about this topic.

Unfortunately multiple sources have already predetermined this outcome but I'll break it down.
Red--Red represents the male of the time. He's only marrying Mary out of a misguided promise to his father and really is just trying to boost his standing within noble or high society.
William--William is pretty much the cliche male of most romance anime/manga. He's the down on his luck type that fate somehow puts him on path to better himself. Usually in the end he gets the girl.
Betty--Considering Simon is Simeone's great-grandfather kinda crushes this but if it helps,Betty won't risk her long standing friendship in attempting to broaden Mary's horizon as evidenced in last issue.

You may be right on that last part, but that doesn't mean that Mary wouldn't think it over. She is a very curious young woman and it would be her curiosity that would possibly cause her to take up Betty's offer.

Already tried in the last issue. Betty put the idea out there and Mary was shocked to think that 2 girls could have sex. For the sake of their friendship Betty told her not to think about it.

yeah Betty told her to forget about it. But that doesn't entirely mean that Mary wouldn't become curious and reconsider Betty's offer. I personally think that after Mary has had a moment to think the offer that Betty made would come up and Mary's curiosity would cause her to take up Betty's offer just out of pure curiosity. After all it is still possible, and Vanessa is just full of surprises.

I still chalk this up to a no. If I recall, I had a problem with how abruptly Betty squashed the issue while Mary already had a visual and even remarked about girls having sex. I get that Vanessa is usually full of surprises but I don't foresee her changing Mary so suddenly.

Maybe she will build up to that during the course of the next few issues. Cause as you probably know all too well by now, I really want to see Mary doing some sexual experimenting with Betty. If you know what I mean.

As somebody who has developed deep personal feelings for Mary (as wierd and unsettling as that might be to you guys) I can't really handle the idea of William and Mary being a couple, but who am I to complain about what will happen with these two? If Vanessa wants to have William and Mary fall in love with each other then that's fine with me. *sigh* At the very least, one can dream of other things.

I know William isn't everyone's personal favorite character but I've said before. William is a grass eater. He has the personality of a wet paper bag in a rain storm but it's this personality along with a big penis that endears him to the girls in the castle or at the very least,Violet. All we can do know is hope and wait for Fate to place him on the path of getting a better personality.

Honestly, I think that William and Mary could become friend but nothing more. Let's be honest, William is not ready for a true relationship and Mary is too inexperienced to know what she really need. That said they will stay a lot of time together. I could see them grow accustomed of each others. They could learn to tolerate each other and to start to see common point between them. There is no need to complicate that with lust or love. William could become an advisor for Mary. He knows a lot more about the exterior world that Mary does and they have the occasion to talk together.
Ça me semble être la suite logique de cette histoire.

I agree with you, Catherine Puce. In a way Mary is out of Williams league and the two becoming lovers would feel out of place. If William should be with anybody, the only person i could think of would be Violet. But even she is kind of out of his league too. Hmm, maybe William should just stay single.
