Not sure who else here plays, but I'll post some of the info that has come out from Blizzcon with the class/artifact weapon guide: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/artifacts/ _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

I have tried to play earlier this year when the previous expansion released, but only days after playing it, I got sick of it. _________________

I agree that it sucks and this comes from the fact that I beta tested and played the final product. I am cautiously optimistic with a lot of the changes. I'm hoping I get to beta this expansion as well but even so,it'll be another 9-10 months before it comes out. _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

(( Hey DesertWolf and Rune174,
I actually enjoyed WoW when I played it, as I'm not really hard-core, and WoW lets you dial up or down how you want to play it. I more stopped because... I was getting disappointed in myself that I was playing the largest MMORPG by myself.
Anyway, I haven't played it for a couple of years now. I'm waiting for when Blizz gives me two free weeks again. At that time, I'll pop back on, and see what the fuss is all about. )) |

Its not that WoW is a bad game, its far from it. I just never found myself adapting to the new changes that the game went through since the earlier expansions. I kinda missed the days that if I wanted to make a group, I could just go to the lfg or general channel, get a quick group together, and we'd get the ball rolling. When I tried the queue during the recent expansion, I ended up hating it. It left no mystery to explore the world and see the different characters you come across to find the dungeons and getting a group together to find out what gear and new weapons and treasures you can salvage. Maybe I'm just clouded by my memories of nostalgia, but the final nail in the coffin was the oversimplified talent system. _________________

Well if anybody's looking for the old school talent system the artifact weapons will attempt to fill that void. Also confirmed is multi-spec so you can play every aspect of your class. _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

(( Hey Rune174,
I... actually liked what Blizz did with the talent system when they swapped the old talent trees for the new "1-of-3" option.
For me in previous iterations of WoW, when I wanted to try to group up, I was often given the short end of the stick, even as a Heal-a-Din, since I didn't optimize my healing talents... and just picked what I liked. As soon as players realized this, I'd, more often than not, be verbally scolded and booted from the groups. It was a rare group who would allow me to play the way I wanted to play. And, more often than not, those rare groups tended to be father-mother-son-daughter teams who just wanted to play the game.
For me, the updated talent system is less about min-maxing your character, and just adding your own spice to an established sauce. I enjoyed that way better, as I would get way less, "Lurn 2 Play N00b" comments.
Also... I didn't really enjoy the old LFG either, and a lot of it was based on my refusal to download a zillion game aps (which 99.997% of the random players I'd come across would say were mandatory downloads), or play min-maxed speced for healing. Though... I will say it was a moment of weird pride when people realized I was that good at healing, without having the zillion aps. Anyway, I actually liked the new LFG options, both the 5-Pax and 3-Pax dungeons, as, if nothing else, I'd at least get a bonus-bag of loot at the end of the dungeon due to the "Call to Arms" bonus.
Anyway, just some quick thoughts. )) |

Here are some class changes coming in the upcoming expac. These are just the classes that are getting updated for lore reasons.
1)Death Knights:Will have one set of runes for all 3 specs. There will no longer be blood, frost, unholy runes.
Frost spec will just be dual wield only. No more 2-handed weapons.
Presences will be deleted. Any bonuses will be added to the spec.(i.e. blood will have the blood presence bonus added to the class.)
Hunters--First let me just say Gnome Hunters! That's right, gnomes will be the newest race to become hunters.
1)Marksman---Loses the pet and is now just ranged dps.
2)Survival---Is now a melee dps and is the only spec to use traps for crowd control.
Rogue---Combat is now Outlaw and is more pirate-like using cutlasses and pistols.
Warlocks-----Demonology will lose metamorphosis and will instead will be able to summon more creatures.
Monks----Mistweavers who have been called "fistweavers'' will now be just healers and no longer a hybrid.
Priest:
1)Discipline will be a dps/healer spec.
2)Shadow will use the void that houses the Old Gods and will use insanity as a power source. When the priest reaches 100% insanity they will then take on a voidform. _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

Hmm, maybe I should get myself back into the game then. The reason why I did enjoy the old talent tree system was that it made me feel like I could make the class the way I wanted and dump talents into skills that would be used the most on my part.
I did happen to like the Death Knights, and maybe these changes might be more fun now, but hunters I am certainly interested in playing. It was my first class, but ended up being a rogue instead and that was the one class I leveled up completely before the end of WotLK _________________

Here's a link to MMO Champions who've posted a talent calculator for artifact weapons.
Just a heads up: Not all of the specs are posted and the info has been datamined and are subject to change.

I'll be posting videos on specs currently in the Alpha and their Artifact weapon/Class Order Hall quests this weekend. Please bear in mind that this will have Uber spoilage. _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

Alrighty guys. I'll post more vids showcasing more of Legion's Artifact quests as well as some of the areas and dungeons/raids. In the meantime, for those interested I'm currently playing some other mmo's such as Blade&Soul and Black Desert. B&S is free to play and I have 3 guest passes for Black Desert. I'm also currently beta testing an upcoming MMO called Asta. _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

Sad to hear that Blizzard had to take down that private server. Kind of a dick move on their part. _________________

Alright. For those still not sure I'm just going to give at least my first impressions of the expansion so far.
I really like the story so far as Azeroth has an enemy that is slaughtering both the Alliance and the Horde and both need to focus on just the Legion and not bring up their respective rivalries. Too bad nobody told Warchief Sylvanas or Greymane.
The zones are absolutely beautiful and are rich in their own history and scenery. Even some of the dungeons I've done are fantastic looking and well worth doing. And many of the zones have treasure chests strewn about containing mostly junk but also power ups for your weapon.
Here's a link to some of the cinematics within the expansion. Yes there are spoilers but the story lines are fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnk2VDEb5yA _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”
