Being that I am a person who has Motion Sickness.
I can say this game is not for me.
I got into Beta. Was hoping it was going to be better than their regular games. But atlas they did not change or improve the interface.
I bought Oblivion years ago when it first came out because the reviews were good. I got sick after 20 minutes of game play.
I heard Skyrim was good and they added the 3rd person view. And was hoping it actually was more like Warcraft. But that also got me sick after an hour of game play. Literally wanted to throw up.
The problem is the game has a 'locked' cursor hair in the middle. And that locked center point must be used to interact with everything in the game world. And so the entire screen and environment spins and whirls around constantly all the time.
A normal MMO game has a camera view that you can control separately from cursor interaction. If you wanted to interact something you just point and click and not move the screen.
In Elders Scroll interacting with anything constantly moves the camera view.
That's the problem with the game. It seems to be more for consoles than for PC. _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

Personally speaking, I loved Oblivion and Skyrim, but like you said, it was really disorienting if you don't know how to control your character too well. On the other hand, the Elder Scrolls series is ripe with frequently released mods that actually spice things up, assuming of course that they come out with a dev kit for that. Being a former WoW player though, I see where you are coming from. Its a lot easier to just highlight a character and interact with a couple flicks of your mouse and you got a conversation going, unlike in the ES series where you have to be directly within the line of sight in order to do the same thing, which makes it very monotonous, but at the same time its brilliant at the same time. If you wanted to talk to somebody in real life, you had to face and talk to them in order to talk and interact with them, and I guess that is how Bethesda wanted to create a more organic experience for their players. _________________

Now that I'm free of the NDA(at least for now)I can discuss the game better.I'll start with the good, the bad,and finally what needs improvement.
The good:
1)Great combat-The combination of switching weapons,a short action bar,the drain on magicka and stamina, and enemy AI means having to think about your actions especially in dungeons where the enemies are grouped 4+ and can wipe your party out or in Cyrodill where PvP is just as bad with different players vying for the Emperor spot.
2)Beautiful graphics-Not on par with Skyrim but definitely fantastic none the less. The landscapes, weather, flora, and fauna have been detailed out.
3)Character Customization--Zenimax has also put forth an incredibly detailed character customization on par if not better than what Bethesda usually creates. Seriously,to find anyone with your character skin would literally 1-in-million.
4)Character Development--Sure you're limited to a few classes but the fact that you have access to all the 3 trees for each class and you can even get buffs for each of those trees plus weapon trees, armor, race, etc. means you can create any combination you want.
5)Crafting-Another great feature that's easy and in-depth. Unlike other MMO's you already posses the knowledge to craft you just need the mats and time to do so.You can even break things down and learn their components and apply them later.
6)Exploration--Just like other ES games you can freely roam the world to an extent(which I'll get to) but none the less run, walk,or take a mount and go.
7)It's hard becoming the Emperor---This is the most challenging thing to do in ESO.It requires your character to be at the top of the leader board for your faction and your guild to have control over all 6 keeps before you can get crowned.
The Bad:
1)Limited Exploration---You can only traverse your faction's areas until level 50 before you can leave and explore other faction territories.
2)Open Alliances---I hate this so much I should've placed it first but oh well.Since the story of the Imperial broke and pissed a lot of people off,Zenimax chose to make the other 9 races able to choose a different faction other than their normal starting one.e.g. A khajit of the Aldemeri Dominion can now be part of either DaggerFall or Ebon Heart.
3)Limited gold----I don't mind grinding but only getting 1-6 gold pieces per humanoid kill completely sucks especially when you need to raise 42,000 gold for the best mount you can get.
Needing Improvement:
1)UI---This is both a blessing and curse at the same time. The whole thing disappears while not in combat to allow a better view of the world but does appear when you're near enemy and preferably before an enemy spots you.But I hate not having some type of nameplate to discern who's a player and who's an NPC without having to move the targeting system around me(it's moveable not stationary). _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

If the VR headsets do become more commercialized and is readily available and compatible for this sort of game with locked cursor center points, I may try it again.
As it makes more sense when my head is looking and controlling the view rather than my hand.
It was just awful for my head and eyes when I'm having to constantly move the screen and view for every object I needed to pick up. I remember like there were 5 objects on the table and I had to move center point of my screen to each of those individually and cause the entire screen to jiggle and stuff. it's terrible. _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

If anybody is playing or is going to play and wants to travel, quest,or raid with me, just post here and I'll post my toon names(ESO uses toon names for contacts as opposed to e-mail). I'm in all 3 factions so it won't matter which one you choose. _________________ “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”
