Shane followed the fox carefully.

From the sound of their voices and footsteps, Shane could easily determine the size of the rooms and where the entrances were. But he still had to be careful that he didn't bump into any small objects that might be close to where he walked. Each step the blind wolf took was cautious and almost tender. He moved silently, almost as if he wasn't even there. His ears registered the slightest noise and his fur sensed the slightest movement of air around him. But something was off, something the wolf couldn't quite put his finger on. Stopping, Shane focused his senses, tuning out all abient noise and focusing on the anomoly that just didn't fit right.

Air rushing in and out with a steady, periodic rhythm. Breathing. The blind wolf's accute hearing plucked the sound of breathing from around him as if it was right in his ear. He could hear himself breathing, Arcanus, Artyum, the house owner... and one other.

"We're not alone," Shane said softly as he moved his cane to a ready position.

Shane's head turned slightly, his ears swiveling atop his head.

"I can't..." Shane began. The breathing of the intruder was too obscured by the walls and flooring of the building; he could only barely distinguish the sound. But then his ears cought something more defined, something a little louder. Though it was muffled so that no other could hear it, the cough was just loud enough for Shane to pinpoint its location.

"Down. Does this structure have a basement?"

"I'm sure it does, let me check" he goes and talks to his father, and walks back to the two "I'll be right back..." he heads down the stairs with a smirk on his face.

The basement was just a wine cellar, Arcanus was able to locate the intruder right away it was a black cat, he was hiding behind a wine rack, he grabs him and pins him against the wall by his throat "So you're the sinch of the organization are you?" He pressed his arm against his throat harder "If you value your life you will leave Bon Bon and you will tell your boss that this family is dead, if I see anymore organization members here in town I will kill you, and trust me I have my sources, you snich you die, got it?" The cat nods his head, Arcanus was about to let him go when he remembers something "And I know your boss is here in Bon Bon, tell me what's his name exactly?" the cat tried pulling a fast one "I-I dunno!" Arcanus smiles and was getting his sword ready "Well I guess I have no choice then..." "WAIT! Wait! his name is Syrus, now please let me go!!" Arcanus removes his arm "With pleasure" and the cat bolts up the stairs

As the two spoke aloud, Shane was able to clearly hear the entire conversation. When the black cat came running through the house, his trek was abruptly cut short.

From the sound of his footsteps, Shane was able to determine his weight and the length of his stride. This in turn gave the wolf an estimate of the cat's aproximate height which was in turn supported by the cat's heavy breathing.

Bringing his cane up swiftly, Shane caught the black cat across the forehead, sending his feet sprawling in front of his before crashing to the floor after the rest of his body.

"You are too trusting," Shane said to Arcanus as he returned.

"This one gave up the name too quickly," the wolf said, poking the now unconsious intruder. "He was retreating recklessly, his objective to escape harm as fast as possible. He is a coward and does all in his pwer to avoid harm or trouble. It is a safe bet that, even though he promised not to, he would have immediately returned to this Syrus to inform him of our presence. The fact that he was quick to surrunder his boss's name only enphasise's this."

Arcanus smiled "Well now that I know it's Syrus pulling the strings we won't have anymore problems, since if I sinch who he works for he is as good as dead, and this" he slightly taps the cats head with his foot "snich just helped me get the evidence I needed on him" Arcanus has an even bigger grin now "Looks like me and William are both one step ahead of them"

He nods and heads upstairs, and finds a window that gives him a clear view of the road. He positions himself so that he can see out of the window, but others cannot see him.

Shane moved about the house carefully, feeling out his surroundings with the end of his cane and his hands. It wasn't long before the wolf had a basic idea of the ground level of the building. With the rooms mapped, Shane found a good location to wait. Seating himself, he waited in a room that was adjacent to the room directly connected to the front entrance.

"Nothing yet" He says to himself. He continues to scan the area for a few minutes.

*A little while later*

He notices something im the distance. Three well armed men. A grey wolf armed with a saber, a Fox wielding a revolver, and a German Shepard armed with a rifle.

*In a somewhat low voice* Three armed men are approaching, two of them with guns and the other with a sword, get ready.

Shane didn't move. He just sat, his eyes closed and holding his cane in his hands. As he was on top of the hill, the wolf seemed in a trance.

But this time he was focused. All his senses were concentrated on the approaching danger. When they finally arrived, they would have a surprise waiting for them.

Arcanus went into a state of deep concentration, preparing himself for the intruders to come...the window in the room next to him suddenly shattered, one of the intruders were in the upper floor, he sighs "Not very quiet are we?" he waits for the intruder to pass his room

Staring down the sights at the German Shepard who in turn is scanning the Mansion for possible snipers.

"Hmm I think he's covering the other two. They may flank around the sides of the house." He then hears glass shatter "That confirms it" He said in his mind.

Then a flash of a rifle and a loud twack sound is hears as a bullet flies by Artyom's head. He finds cover behind a book case "How the hell did he see me?"

Shane's ears twitched as the sounds of fighting suddenly erupted around him. Shattering glass and gunshots were heard clearly as though the wolf were right next to the sources of these sounds. But other sounds were the focus of the white, blind wolf.

A 3rd intruder had snuck in on the ground level and was seeking the house's resident. But to his misfortune he found Shane instead.

Stopping, the intruder spotted the white wolf standing seemingly defensless and unaware. Smiling to himself, the intruder thought himself lucky and slowly stepped into the room, raising his revolver. Closer the intruder came, taking careful aim when suddenly pain shot through his arm, the gun fired and a scream of terry and agony rang through the house.

"AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" the intruder screamed as his hand fell to the floor, the muscles contracting and squeezing the trigger of the revolver.

Shane's accute hearing told him exactly where the intruder was standing. As his finger began to pull on the trigger, Shane heared the mechanics of the weapon at work and knew exactly where it was being held. In mere fractions of a second Shane had stepped forward, drawn his hidden blade and sliced it across the top of the intruder's wrist, cleanly severing his hand from his arm. At the same time the wolf moved to the side, dodging the bullet that embedded itself in the wall behind him.

The intruder fell to his knee in shock, screaming loudly. But his cries lasted only a couple of seconds as Shane brought his cane down on the back of the intruder's head, knocking him unconsious.

Arcanus's intuder heard the noises and was about to go run down stairs to check it out, when Arcanus's sheath comes out of no where, and clothesline's him, while the intruder is sprawled on the ground Arcanus comes out of hiding at looks at the man on the floor "You call yourself an assassin, pathetic! Say good night!" He slams his sheath on the mans head instantly knocking him out

Another three shots hit the top floor

"This guy is really starting to piss me off."
Another shot fires and it goes through the book case and grazes Artyom's shoulder. He recoils slightly in pain. "He's going to pay for that."

He leans out and places his sights on the German Shepard. His breath slows. His finger slowly pulls the trigger. Crack! The bullet accelerates towards the Shepard's leg. He falls to the ground clutching his leg in pain. He attempts to grab his rifle but a bullet wizzes past his hand. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, unless you want this next bullet to be in between your eyes!" He yelled

Shane stood listening. It appeared the others had things in control so Shane returned his blade to its home concealed within the black cane. Stepping over the unconcious and bleeding intruder, the wolf made his way to where the fox was.
