Marco closed up his shop and sighed...looking down at the haggard pair of work boots that had been his for the better part of three years...it was no use denying it. He needed a new pair of boots. He had heard from one of his customers of a shop that dealt with high quality appearal for paws and he had to admit, he had enough coin to get something that would suit his needs and look good. Walking to the entrance of the store he was told of, he slowly entered within, taking a moment to look about the store to get a feel for the atmosphere.

*smiles and raises her head to welcome the newcomer as soon she heard the bell above her door. this day was slow so see someone is a pleasant change.*

*met the proprietresses eyes with a sheepish grin as he stood to his full height, placing his hands behind his back as he stepped fully into the store and closed the door behind him.*

"I truly hope so, miss. I've been told that I would be foolish to go anywhere else in the pursuit of a new pair of boots, and my friends have never steered me wrong before. My old pair is on its last few steps and I was hoping you could help me with a new pair?" his deep bass voice resonated within the confines of the store as he took a tentative step further within.

*grins and walks to curtain. Catherine pulls it away to show her little cobbler shop hidden behind.*

Come here. I need to take measure of your feet. Do you need something special that you desire for this ffotwear? Do you want that I keep the same style that your old boots or you want some changes?

* he slowly walked passed the drawn curtains and smiled at her. * It just seems as if the pair that I have cannot keep up with me. I spend most of my day on my feet and it seems that my boots take the worst of it.* he shrugged..thankful that he had placed clean stockings upon his hindpaws as he sat down upon one chair and removed the rather beaten and worn boots he had upon them. "I would hope that you might be able to make something that can endure my workday better then the pair I have did. As to style...I would be open to your suggestions..I fear my sense of fashion is a bit...outdated...to be honest."

*starts to make some measures then grabs a piece of oak and a wood chisel and begins to carve the sole.*

Weel, no shoe can last forever or I would be out of work but I can make you something that will last a while. A oak sole with a vamp in thick layers of leather. I could even some brass strip to reinforce it even more. They will to reshape after but it will last a lot.

* he leaned back in the chair and wiggled his toes a bit ...enjoying the air on his foot for a bit as he watched her work. * You do speak the truth...I would hate to see such a marvelous craftswoman out of work ..it would rob me of the chance to come and visit. * he grinned with a hint of mischiviousness, taking a moment to observe her as she worked.

Flattery is nice but it won't make me cut my prize. Anyway, what are you doing at Bon Bon? I haven't see you before and the shop and the store tend to attract also all the usual resident of Bon Bon.

Perish the thought, I wouldn't think of using flattery to bring down your price...your guard perhaps but never your price..* he chuckled as he leaned back in his chair.."I moved here last year during the fall and spent most of the time between then and now setting up my shop. Its on Baron Street. The Platinum Chime. I mostly work with crafting deocrative jewelry and windchimes, but I also do restorative work around the town ..it keeps me busy and happy. Though I must admit if I knew the proprietress here was so pretty..I would have stopped in MUCH sooner."

And I see why I didn't seen you. There are a lot of competition in the jeweller niche. I love them but with all the that my customer put on lease. My usual retailer and the jeweller that rent my land I have little need to look around more.

Now that is a rather shame. My work usually doesn't infringe all that much upon the other jewelers here. Where they work with rings and amulets and broaches....most of my work is frameworks on paintings...engraving, windchimes..I love windchimes.." continued to describe some of the oddities he'd worked with as she worked..ticking them off with his fingers before pausing after a moment...his cheeks tinting the white fur on his face a slight pink.."I started rambling ..didn't I...I am sorry...I tend to do that if I get a bit flustered."

Don't stop for me. I wouldn't be working on this field of work is I wasn't sociable and didn't like to heard gossips, news and tales of my customers.

* he chuckles a bit as he closes his eyes* I would think that someone as pretty as you are would barely have the time to socialize with your customers..what with having to fend off the odd suitor at every hour. I'm almost tempted to make this a regular trip to get new boots every week if it means being treated with your company .." he grinned...allowing himself to admire her comely figure briefly before returning his gaze to her eyes.

Well... I cannot said I am offended by your flattery so maybe I could give you a good reason to come back.

*sews and nails the leather to the sole.*

I have this huge second-hand music box. She knew better days and I am fixing it before put it to sell. I am good carving but the metal bits that are on the outside of the box are rather used and I could let you do this job if you are willing.

Good, I will pad it them. Oak wood is sturdy and I don't want my dear customer get blisters or splinters in his foot. It would hurt my professional pride even more that my reputation.
