I would really like to know...what are some things that get on your nerves?
This is 1 thing that gets on my nerves: When you feel like you can't share your thoughts or opinions with someone because you might hurt them.
Another thing is: When people don't communicate with you about any issues.
I think communication is key to every good friendship, marriage and etc.
I guess that's why I enjoy reading and posting all your comments about worldy issues and such. I ESPECIALLY love it when we can share our thoughts and comments like grown mature adults.....and maybe have a good laugh or two in between.
Thanks for reading...and I'm sure I'll post up a few more things that annoy me. _________________ xoxoxo

I don't have communication problems, but the thing that really gets on my nerves is overall disrespect in society. For example, people leaving their cell phones on in the wrong places/situations, running stop signs and red lights while talking on their celly, cussin' (cursing) in public, people who play their boomin' systems at 1 am on a week night, etc. This doesn't get on my nerves but guys wearing their ball caps indoors at restaurants (I was raised that you take your hat off at the table) kinda grinds me. The last one probably grinds me because it's a sign that times are changing from when I was younger.
Not only is communication key for a good relationship, but trust as well. I know a few couples where the trust is shaky at best, but they remain together. I don't understand these kind of people...
Almost forgot...women I've known who are insecure or too critical about their bodies when I think they look great. _________________ Down South ~ "The AB Nation will be there when you do."

Well, since you're asking, it really pisses me the hell off that women think I'm not good enough for them. Sorry to be negative, but it does seem relevant to this topic, and does annoy the heck out of me every single day. _________________

Not really anything to do with relationships, but I can't stand arrogance, rude, disrespectfull people, and 2 faced people. People who are envious, and stuck up. |

Agree with LoshioTTT. Also I can`t stand people that are allways looking down on others just to feel that they are better.
And shallow people that judge others on their apperance and what kind of car they drive. _________________ Weak Is The Strong

The most annoying thing ever on the face of the planet, are people that smack there lips when eating or chewing with their mouth open. I think I am overly sensitive to this( I can hear if one person in a busy restaurant is smacking from 80 tables away, this is why I don't eat out much) It almost puts me in a rage, it is like someone putting a hot poker in my eyeballs.
I am also annoyed by people that jump to conclusions or beleive anything without thinking first. It seems logic does not exist anymore.

Hmmm, those are all good ones.
In Solitude: I've experienced that too....people looking down upon just to make themselves feel better.
Wildcard..you're good enough for me.
I have a tough time finding "girlfriends" because of some of these issues....along with all the other girl issues that arise too. Guys are SOOOOO much cooler than chicks. It's very rare....to find "cool chicks" these days.
Anyway... another thing that annoys me is....talking on the phone. My Mom loves it...and 1/2 the time....I just end up tuning her out.
Hey this....ranting and raving is fun. I'll have to do it again...soon. _________________ xoxoxo

What really gets under my skin is when celebrities get the false impression that their celebrity status gives them the right to be assholes. As if they're somehow better than everyone else. Like when they start making political and social commentaries, grandiose speeches about how the politicians are no good and how the government should be run. Yeah right, like they're somehow smarter or more important than everyone else! They're just using their positions to push their own agendas. Not that they shouldn't have political opinons - everyone's entitled to their own. The problem is they forget that in the political realm, their votes are worth no more than mine or anyone else's. I say, actors should stick to acting, singers should stick to singing, and leave the politics to the politicians. |

Well, things that annoy me are : less of respects, lies, insincere people, jeer at trust I put on someone and more pragmatic things : the slow car when I'm late ... and the usual delay of tren (when there's an update on Alley's site, it's horrible) !! |

Thanks Alley. Too bad you're already taken, and live hundreds of miles away from me. Not that I couldn't do the long distance relationship thing, because it would be better than no relationship at all, but there's really no point in talking about it in the first place. A dream, hope, and wish too far. _________________

Respect and courtesy, definitely. Especially, those damn drivers with the cell phones attached to their ears while driving. Are we that important?
Then there are those hollywood reporters. Talk about superficial people.
And Alley, you gotta tell people you love what you don't like cuz it's gonna keep popping up. Im pretty sensitive to criticism myself but I eventually move on. Unless the person is suicidal, feeling bad is part of living. _________________ In a perfect world, you get all Alley, all the time. |

Ha! Well, no not really, not unless he thought he could get away with hitting someone over the head with a phone because he's a big Hollywood tough-guy! If that's the case then yes he's definitely included, otherwise, I suppose it's just a case of losing one's temper and acting out inappropriately. |

Hey Alley,....
Ok,..here's the things that piss me off.
1. Idiots driving on the freeway talking on cellphones,..cutting me off and then flipping me off.
2. Whenever I'm working a checkout and some idiot is talking on there cellphone.
3. Whenever you have your phone or utility shut off. They can do it in a instant but it takes them days to turn it back on.
4. People that lie to me. Folks that can't tell you the truth for whatever reason. I'm a big boy I can take it.
5. Being stood up. This happened to me once. I was pissed.
6. Waiting on hold to talk to someone?
7. Hott babes that say they need to lose weight.
8. All this talk about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The dude is gay. I don't honestly understand why he can't come out. You can't tell me he isn't. The dude was married to three hott babes and couldn't knock one of them up??? The first two have had kids since him. Your telling me he hasn't slipped one past the goalie in all these years? I think he's shooting in the other hole. Not with woman.
9. Britney Spears. I used to think she was so fine. I even have been to a couple of her shows. 5th row once. But damn she's a major Hoosier now!!! "White trailor park trash" to those not from Missouri. And that husband looks like a big scumbag. He's a loser. I think she should retire.
10. Beauty pagents. They never ever pick the best girl. I've never seena girl with big boobs or fake ones ever win. They all have to be politically correct. What beautiful ladies with big boobs aren't good enough? Ok,...my cousin was Ms Illinois. But at least she's pretty despite not being curvy.\
ok,..enough bitching.

Mike,
I'm with you on some of these:
8. Yeah, for some reason I also find Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes together totally annoying. Whether he's gay or not I have no idea and I personally could care less, but seeing her with that guy is just...I dunno...frusterating, I guess.
9. Yeah, what happened to Britney? Her dramatic downfall in terms of public opinion of her character is almost on par with O.J. and Michael Jackson! Remember the days of the wholesome Britney, who was saving herself for marriage, and who was adored and regarded as a role model by teens and tweens alike? Boy are those days over!
10. Beauty pageants are just weird. I can never seem to sit through one start to finish, the one I end up rooting for never wins, no one from my state ever makes it to the final 10, and I always end up asking myself "Is this the best they could do?" Take Miss America for example. Each state crowns a winner in the state who then goes on to the finals. And I always think "Of all the girls in each state, THIS ONE is the best they could come up with?" I see girls just as hot or even hotter every day just walking down the street! I don't know, it's all pretty silly. |

Yeah, when you can't share your feelings cause you might hurt your partner is definitely one of the things I hate the most. I find it eventually leads to resentment because you don't feel free in the relationship.
A big annoyance has to be when you go up to a single girl in a pub/bar/club and say something simple like hello and she either completely ignores you or rudely dismisses you.
Oh and people that think you should respect them because of their position - respect is earned. _________________ -----

Oh yeah, and also when you go to a concert or sporting event and people are standing up out of their seats right in your line of sight so you can't see or have to look around them and you paid a lot of money for these seats while these jerks probably bought nose-bleed section tickets and snuck down to the your more expensive section and you can't see what the hell's going on and you have to keep telling them you can't see through them (I'm only Supermark, not Superman) so sit the hell down! That really gets on my nerves too. |

2- the obsession entertainment tonight and vh1 and the E channel have with celebrities and what kinda car they drive, house they have, what they wear and who they are dating or banging.

Alley,
What really pisses me off is guys that do not treat their ladies with kindness and respect. I always treat my ladies like they are God's gift to me and the world, something special in creation that only God could provide. There are too many idiot males that think of themselves first and their ladies second or even further down the ladder.
Now if you were my lady I would treat you as a Princess, as my special girl and you would lack for nothing especially my undying love

Aw, thanks DICK!
I have to say...you guys are all so funny with stating all the things that ERK you. These are all REALLY GOOD ONES! I agree with the whole Britney thing.
I'm currently...having this "thing" with a female friend. She told me...you can talk to me about anything....if there's ever anything that upsets you....that I do...just let me know. So what do I do? I let her know and now she isn't talking to me. What a BITCH! I mean...if she couldn't handle a little suggestion then maybe she shouldn't have told me it's okay to talk to her about anything and such. I HATE people who are SOOO sensitive and who DO NOT communicate. When I told her....what I said...I told her PLEASE don't take this the wrong way!!!....Please don't take this personal!!!! I'm sorry If I hurt your feelings. That's not what I want to do. I'm trying REALLY hard to be careful as to how I tell you this. I even told her I still wanted to get together and do this and that. I've called her a few times inviting her out to some places... and none of it worked. This is what I get for sharing my feelings with her. The thing that ERK's me is....if you care at all about your friendship/relationship.....then the thing to do is...communicate with that person and work your differences out. YOU WILL have differences with everyone you meet at some point or another either big or small....because everyone is different. Everyone came from different experiences, has different opinions, has different views and etc. Married couples even go through that too...but you don't see them divorcing over a difference of an opinion or whatever else that's like that....do you?
Anyway...that's what's REALLY ERKED me lately!!
Alot of females are like that....aren't they? SO Sensitive and such... Do you find that most females are bad at communicating too?
just wonderin' _________________ xoxoxo

I think the worst is when a female ask for my onest opinion. Say they wont get pissed... and when I tell them... then say thank you for being onest, but still they get pissed off lol. I've never understood that, so I just dont ever really tell people stuff like that anymore. But anyways, I think what really really erks me is... I'm never sure who to trust. I mean, your supost to be able to trust your family and friends right? But you ever noticed when it really comes down to it, most will think about them selves before you? I never understood why, I mean whats the point? I Guess I expected people to be like me, where if I say I'll be there, I will most defenetly be there. Guess I was just living in lala land |

She certainly is quite the bitch, Alley. Alot of times it seems like women only want to hear the truth if it doesn't tread on their pride. And they complain about the male ego being too easily bruised. To that I say what the hell ever. I don't see women being made fun of on TV for having small breasts, but there sure are alot of times when guys are made fun of for have a small wackadoodle. If it were the other way around you can bet it would cause the shit to hit the fan in no small way. _________________

I don't have any problems when it comes to talking to women or girls. I do have problems sometimes when girls think that I like them when I'm just being nice or friendly with them. Also, I don't attempt to try and understand women. I'd go crazy trying...
What erks me is that I can't seem to find someone my own age who like me. It's either girls who are way to young (who think I'm younger than I actually am) or it's older married women who are sending me those signals. I think it's because I don't try with these two groups of women and I'm just being myself and things start to happen on their own.
It's hare to find girls my age who haven't already settled down or are babies momma's. I want to raise my own childeren, not some other mans. I love my step-father, but I want my child to call me dad instead of my first name.

Hey ya Alley,
I don't know your friend but it sounds like she's being unreasonable. It must be so frustrating to lose a friend like that, are you hoping to become friends again? Is it possible that she's kinda feeding off you saying sorry and trying to make up?
I know I only know you from this forum, but it's clear that you are really kind and compassionate, and that you wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone, totally the opposite. If this girl can't see or respect that, then you might be better off without her. If she's nice at all she'll soon come around! : )
I was having similar problems with my best friend of 10 years, he stopped talking to me for reasons I still don't know. I took a friend's suggestion which really helped. I sent him an email, saying I was disappointed we weren't still friends, and gave him the opportunity to respond. He didn't, but I managed to get closure on the whole thing so it doesn't upset me anymore.
I'd say guys are worse at communicating to be honest. Girls can talk amongst themselves honestly about all sorts of personal problems, whereas guys gain a new nicknames if they share personal secrets! I got "jelly" as a nickname after telling a friend I was a bit freaked out about some weird jelly-related porn I found in my Dad's closet - DON'T ASK _________________ -----

Well Alley,
It sounds like you care more about this friendship than your "friend" does. I can just picture your friend telling everyone she knows how badly you treated her. I hope she doesn't.
You've already made a jester of reconcilliation. If she can't get over it, then let her be because it means she doesn't really consider your friendship in high regard. _________________ In a perfect world, you get all Alley, all the time. |

Alley,
The accumulation of erk's over someones lifetime sours and weakens them. I think you have to find some closure on this thing with your friend. Do whatever it takes to be satisfied in your own mind that youve made a genuine attempt to make your friend understand your intent and sincerity. What she does with that is up to her. If it doesnt work out draw the positives from this relationship and move on. Protect your soul. |
