NumLock was quite impressed with the airship. It was a phenomenal machine, not as large as a seafaring aircraft carrier, but incredible nonetheless. The moment he hopped out of the Hind, his nanites recognized the female meta leaning against the wall on the other side of the hangar.

"Aw, buiscuits and gravy! What is that murdering meta doing here!?", he practically yelled, pointing a finger at her and reaching for his gun with his other hand. He remembered how she survived a direct shot to the head earlier this morning by his own pistol, but it was better than jumping into the Pacific Ocean. Then he saw the wolf in the black hooded coat from the office building downtown.

Keeping his weapon aimed at the powerful meta woman, he asked "Just what in the hell is really going on here??" The fox was clearly acting out of fear and self-preservation. The nanites kept replaying this woman absorbing a bystander with a video camera in his partly digitized vision. He noted the airship guards also aiming their rifles back at him.

"I don't side with ruthless killers..." He was really having a hard time assessing the situation he'd just got into.

Bryon had closed his eyes to rest when he heard the announcement of the arrival of more Metas. His curiosity got the better of him, so he headed towards the docking bay where the Hind was landing.

When he arrived, he saw Allison leaning against the wall, observing the newcomers. The rabbit turned his gaze towards three new people he never seen before leaving the aircraft. One of them, a green-furred fox, was pointing a gun at Allison with a fearful expression on his face. The troopers were also pointing their guns at the fox to ensure he didn't do anything foolish.

"This could get out of hand. I better try to alleviate the situation..."

Taking a breath to collect himself, he walked towards the green fox with his hands up. "Sir, there's no need for this. Everything's under control here."

Dailen just cocked his head at the fox. The soldiers pointed their weapons at NumLock and Bryon trying to talk him down.

‘Interesting,’ thought Dailen.

Doc walked over and stood beside Bryon.

“Its alright, she’s not going to hurt anyone. You can put the weapon away.”

Dailen called out the soldiers.

“Stand down guys. Give him some space.”

The soldiers slowly lowered their weapons and backed off.

"whoopps oh well look's like i need to practise on my landings he looked around and saw numlock with his gun out he ran over and grabbed the gun of him and holsterd it for him

"dam it numlock ya trying to fucking kill us ya moron" riku growled and slapped him across the head then saw a fimlar wolf

"WHAT THE I KNOW YA" he shouted looking at dailen "sorry my names riku edgewing sorry about the floor" riku said holding out his hand

NumLock's sensors and peripheral vision detected the rushing wind that was Riku, but he was so fast the nanites registered a small tornado around him. His six-shooter was back in his holster, the hammer locked, safety in place, and the strap secured.

The thing was, NumLock stood very still with his paws out as if he still held the gun. That is, except for twitchy fingers and a dropped jaw. Needless to say, the situation had been averted. He slowly let his arms hang, and frowned. NumLock was speechless and slightly embarrassed; still, the nanovirus played havoc with his vision with loads of combat data. He saw the young rabbit approach with a calming gesture.

"Someone explain this motley crew already. I'm having a freak-out."

*looks at the black wolf with a icy stare. Alice recognized the guy that killed her previous patron. She was considerating her possibilities then shes walks to reach Numlock and puts carefully a hand on his shoulder.*

Calm down and put this weapon back in its holster. Trust me, I won't let her hurt you.

Dailen walked up and nodded to everyone.

“My name is Dailen.”

He cocks his head at Doc.

“This is my father Doc. You’ve already met Yuri. I’ll introduce you all to Glitch later. Welcome aboard the Condors Venture!”

He looks around and nods to the troops who start to disperse, turning back to the new meta’s.

“Now then, why did you lot want to see me?”

I think that everyone here have its own reason. If you want me to be honest, you killed the father of a friend today. When I heard your scientists were working to a cure, I decided to get a better look at the kind of person that would have this power in his hand. Last thing this country need is a raving madman, a oaf-like tyrant or some heartless businessman with the power to seize it.

*looks at him, she didn't tell a single lie, she just used the "friend" word with his more open definition and while the reason she said to come is truth this is not the whole truth.Alice trust her mental powers to protect her to a traditionnal mind reading but after her conversation with Yuki, she prefer play it safe. riku could sence alot of low class meta's but oddly the woman leaning againt the wall the wolf infront of him and him self seemed the most powerfull of the lot.

Doc smiled at Riku.

“Because nearly all the furs on this ship are meta’s. Each one with a degree of power. Nearly all were either driven away or ran away because of their powers. They are all orphans to a changed world. I’ve been trying to find a way to reverse the virus that changed all of them. I’ve been able to revert most low level meta’s back to normal, though still has a hard time trying to reverse the higher powered ones. Course my research is not cheap so my son is a hired gun. He hires his services out to the highest bidder. With the money he makes we’re able to keep this ship in the air and I’m able to conduct my research.”

"I got involved when my brilliant hacking of an FBI database was interrupted by most of this lot using a giant frog mutation like a hockey puck in downtown L.A., alright? I want order. I want peace. I want to knock some sense into this world. So if you have the resources to get things done, then I want in on it. Does that make sense?"

“We have resources that can do that. Mind you though, if you want to use this place you’ll have to pull your own weight around here. Look all of you, if you want to keep your powers then go ahead, we’re not going to force you. That being said there are a lot of meta’s that don’t want these powers and so Doc has been trying to find a way to help them. Trust me, he’s already helped a lot of furs already. At any rate, since you’re all here, might as well give you all the grand tour of the place.”

From my guess, they are more some really powerful metas that keep him secure. I bet they are confident to stop us if need come and were here just for this reason.

(Sorry about the delay, as I was busy with college. I decided to edit some of my posts to get my character's story hidden. I felt it was a bit rushed to put it in for now.)

Bryon was thankful for Dailen's assistance in calming down the cowboy. The rabbit stood by silently and listened to the conversation between Dailen and the new Metas. Bryon's ears perked when the green fox said he tried to hack into an FBI database.

"He's a hacker? Oh, man... I hope he didn't find out anything about my exploits. He could be a bounty hunter, too..."

He was so engrossed with his thoughts, Bryon jumped a little when the cowboy asked him why the rabbit had no guns on him.

"Erm... Actually, I've been wandering the country for years before I got on this ship out of curiosity. I only carry a Swiss Army Knife on my person for survival. I don't like using guns too much."

The cowboy searched his nanobot's facial recognition software memory for the rabbit's identity, but found nothing. When the giant mutant frog crashed into the building he was hacking the federal database from was destroyed, he was unable to access any of it. And so, he kept on saving data as it came to him.

"So you wield a knife, rabbit? Gutsy bringing that into a gunfight. But then again, most metas don't need them, I guess. My name's NumLock. I don't trust most furs further than I can throw them, but I really am one of the good guys." He held out his paw to the rabbit.

"Bryon, sir." He grasped Numlock's paw and shook it for a few moments before letting go.

I try to avoid fighting unless there's no choice. I just use it for its tools. It's particularly useful, especially when you are wandering the roads."

Before Dailen could say anything else a hard vibration shook the ship and the alarm’s went off.

“What the Hell?”

The PA system went off.

“Dailen, this is the bridge we got company. A Black Sun airship just came out of no where and started firing. Hover units are inbound. We’re at red alert and returning fire. Attack helicopters and our new Harriers are being launched.”

“Well, shit thats all we need.”

The ship was hit again and Dailen growled. He turned to Yuri.

“Yuri, prepare to have some company.”

Yuri nodded and sent out a telepathic single to all security personnel. In a matter of minutes all units were standing by and waited for the boarding craft to arrive.

Doc turned and ran towards the door.

“I’ll get the med bays ready. Lord knows how many casualties we’ll have this time.”
