I've always wanted to make one of those.
If we get enough interests from our fans and if Martin and Federico are into the idea- then I'm willing to put the effort into developing it!
I think it would be lots of fun and interesting to see an adventure game. |

I was wondering...
do you mean:
1)an action-adventure game, like the Leisure Suit Larry saga or the Monkey Island saga?
2)an adventure game like the old ones from Infocom (this says volumes about my age), only with graphics?
3)a "choose-your-own-story" adventure book-like interactive comic?
or 4)something else entirely?
That would make an huge difference in the difficulty of the task, you know. |

Ideas:
1. You can be any of the main 5 heroes.
2. Let's say you create 4-5 missions. If each mission is made to be seen in the eyes of that hero, then you have 20-25 games. (IE: Buford would see the action from a lower angle and his menu options would be more based on using magic, while Asheer's would allow her to use fire and maybe fly.
3. The game could be like a lot of hentai games where everything is menu based with still art to show what's happeneing and the occasional animation.
4. The town could be the inbetween mission area, where you can sleep, heal, get drunk and get laid.
5. Karma could play a role to make the game more interesting. (IE say Gonad slays the orc horde and saves a town, if Cottontail is impressed she may offer to sleep with him. If Gonad does, then his karma with Asheer goes down and he won't be likely to get any attention from her.
6. The game also would be more interesting if the action and bedroom scenes were more interactive then just menu based. |

I was thinking of Action Adventure Game like Sierra (Larry,KingsQuest, etc).
I didn't like the Infocom style too much. The choose your own adventure game can be fun too. That would be text based and some occassional art for each major encounter in the story.
Something else- would be RPG-ish like Final Fantasy. But #3 and #1 is do-able. |

Hi Paradox!
Your idea sounds a bit complicated. It's more along the lines of "RPG" - final fantasy style. The closest game I can think of that is action-adventure game similar to yours is the "Heroe's Quest" -> renamed to "Quest for Glory" series. (Also- a Sierra made game).
It's alot harder to do your game because we'd have to factor in every characters point of view.

I've been having trouble playing any of the games so any of these would be great... providing I can play them.
Perhaps you could help me out. I keep getting a shockwave error whenever I try to play any of the games. I locks up my system and forces me to reboot... everytime so far.
Ever had this problem? Anyone? Maybe it is just me... or maybe I ned to update my shockwave... but I don't know how to do that.
Thanks! _________________ Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.

Hi Freeza790- You should email the bug report address that is listed in the FAQ. Please DO NOT post bug reports or technical problems here since the message board is not a tech forum nor will we be able to respond to the posting as fast enough if you are having tech problems. Please read the FAQ and email the contact info provided.
But here's what you should do- Go to this Shockwave site and get the uninstaller and uninstall the shockwave plugin. Then go back and reinstall the newest version. It maybe that you had a bad install and an older version.

Hey everyone-
I've been reading the ideas for games and I like the way peoples thinking is going. An interactive, or choose-your-own-adventure type game is a great idea.
An adventure game, like say, "Fate of Atlantis", or "Kings Quest", might be a little harder to make with all the extra art it would require, though it would give us a look at Vixine in motion never a bad thing. Vixine, of course would be the main character, with the others lending thier usual brand of support.
A rpg like "Final Fantasy" has a lot of possibilities too. You could use the same map system as a lot of games like that, have the characters encounter other people, or enemies(if you want to go that way) and have art, a picture or two for each place they stop, or even a short comic like cutscene of what, if anything, happens there.
The choose-your-own-adventure(ill just call it CYOA as the whole thing is too much to write), is a nice idea too. There are already a few good examples out there, Fairy Nights for one. Basicly its a story with pictures of each location and the characters appear on screen, sometimes changing their expressions, depending on whats going on; usualy there is a cutscene, or series of pictures for certain encounters.
I'll stop as this is getting too long for just one post, but ill post any other ideas I come up with, comments are welcome. Later. |

Don't Stop! Keep it coming!! I'm very interested in all the above ideas!! And you're describing all the exact things I've been thinking of myself...
The more fans that are interested in this sort of thing- the more i'm inspired to do them... I like to work off of fan interests and what others want to see.... I personally would enjoy making this time of game and it's something I've been meaning to do... But was afraid nobody would play it.... or wasted effort if not enough people dig it...
I think the only bit of concern is whether or not Federico has the time to do the artwork for this project!!!

Jwolf here again-
Wow, I didnt know I'd get such a great response to my post. I'm glad we have the same ideas, Ronald.
Anyway, i've thought up some more, just ideas and suggestions, but they might help with the game if enough people warm up to the idea.
Alright, first i'll go over the adventure game again, it was really popular in the early ninetys, a lot of the adventure games you see now are 3d, but before that they used animation. Between the two, I believe drawing the characters one cell at a time would take the most time, but would look closer to the original, whereas there are 3d programs out now that do the work for you, but are very expensive.
As for the game itself, there would probly be action(of one kind or another) but not quite as much as you'd see in an rp(at least the fighting kind, heh). Anyway, before I get off on a completely different topic, heres at least one suggestion for the game.
You would start with Vixine and each of her traveling companions would meet up with her as the game progressed. Instead of having a lot of items, like most adventure games, you could have each of the members possessing different skills that could get them past obsticals or the different puzzles they would face. For example, Gonad could easily wipe the floor with a few orcs, Vixine could reason her way(in her own way) around a stubborn guard, even Asheer, that sexy dragoness, could fly the heroes to the harder to reach locations. It would be up to the play to decide who would best tackle the job, you could even have multipule solutions to each.
Got to go for now as i'm running out of time, i'll be postin again soon though. Anyone is free to add onto my ideas. Later. |

Hey Jwolf- Your idea above sounds like "The Lost Vikings" where there are 3 vikings they're trying to get home. And each of them have a special ability. The animation could be small if the characters in the game are small. The rest would be background scenes that have repeated titles.
Tho- I'm worried about the artwork/animation committment still.
Maybe the RPG game like BardsTale might be better. More primitive graphics. Combat could be like Final Fantasy- but represented by portrait icons of the characters and portrait icons of the monster encounters. Or something like Pokemon Gameboy. |

Hello again,
Now that you mention it, Ronald, I do remember the old Lost Vikings game, and that is one way to approach the idea of an adventure game, like you said though, it would be a hard transition from just the comic.
Your idea about something along the lines of "Bard's Tale" sounds pretty good. I've been thinking about another idea, something closer to an rpg too, but to make it a bit simpler, why not make it out like a CYOA?(Choose Your Own Adventure, for those that didnt see the previous email).
You could have the icon, or small chibi type character on the screen that represents Vixine and her gang, going from place to place on a map. Each place they stop could be depicted as sort of a mini comic, and every so often you could have a choice what to do or which way to go, which would either make things better, or get Vixine and her friends into even more trouble. With this kind of method, there wouldnt be a lot of animation to do and it would be more interactive then just reading along with the comic.
And of course, there would still be the option to put in a small animation here and there if you wanted to.
Hope some of these ideas help and as always comments are welcome.

Iv been a member for all of 2 days but i like the strip casino and the incomplete picture games. Maybe add bakara and a few new dealers? As for an "inter-active" Vixine game i belive you should resort to the best form of flattery and just copy a game called High Tail Hall . Its a free internet flash game that would be perfect for Vixine and company. You could prolly just add an actual plot and switch out the art. It be pretty easy actualy .... _________________ "Mugatu is so rich he could take a crap, wrap it in tinfoil, put a couple fish hooks on it and sell 'em to Queen Elizabeth as earrings." |

I will try to look for that game High Tail Hall and see.
Right now the Vixine team is studying this game called Trickster. Serena, Federico are playing Trickster. And even Martin!!
We're thinking of making some sort of Adventure game in the style of questing and collecting loot. Eventually expand to an MMO version of it as well where you can quest together. Imagine being able to adventure in the world of Vixine finding your own "Quest for Fun." _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

It is a good suggestion and I've already passed the information to Serena and Federico. Maybe we will see Scrya, Alma, or Zandria appear in the Casino! _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

i saw this discussion and had to weigh in. As I was reading i was growing excited by the idea of a game. I've played other net games, and I like the Scrya game you made, and the walking Vixine, it might be cool to design other Flash undress games, I'm sure Zandria would have most of the fans foaming at the mouth to toy with.
But for a more expansive game, i for one would like to see more of the whole world they are a part of come to life. I think starting with Vixine's party and doing a simple choose your own adventure, with some simple turn based combat would be a satisfying start for me. The idea of a furry MMO in their world would be cool. I tried that Furcadia game once, but it didn't appear very well done to me, and it was confusing. so maybe you could use that as a model, but modify it to better suit the much better world you have created, in my opinion.
Another model perhaps to look at is the AdventureQuest/Dragonfable games. I know they're very popular, and free, with certain upgrades available to purchase for a fuller experience. They've made some simple spin off games that might help spawn ideas too.
I hope some of what I said helps. It sounds like you all have a very open and sincere desire to make excellent art/entertainment, and that's something i admire.

With this i mean what programlanguage! (c/c++ would be my choise, because that is what i can code )
But i vote for an aventure game with the QFF characters, where we would have to take a jurney thoug their world. Se sould have to solve some problems, remember codes and all that classic aventure stuff.
maby make the game in Dream fall (Kings quest, rocer wilko) style, that game type is not that hard to make now days, i would be more then willing to help code the game, i'm no good at animation or drawing.
Here are some screen Shots of kings Quest 7, this is game type also supports keeping the "Comix" style witch we all love.
Edit: Fixed spelling error and understanding error

Just came up with an idear.
The sex sceens could be in still image formate (like 2-5 image slideshowed over 1-2 minuts, and then when the game exits will the images have been placed in the game dir, as a reward. the pictures will offcours be incodet in the game so they are ungetabel untill the player have earned them.
The game can have an log in feature so you only can play it if you have a working/payed account to vixine.com. |

On this homepage can you download an engien for making aventure games.
To make an full lenth aventure game with this engien require no knowlage to any computer languages.
This might be a god base ground for a vixine game |

I have been working some with the AGS system lately.
With a story line and some art worke sould it be no problem making the game.
if you coul make and animation of a character walking up, down and left (or right) and a simple background. (Should only be 5-10 frames per animation, and the background shoul be in 800x600 resulution).
Then should i be able to make a demo where we can see how the game will look, and i can make a simple puzzle so there the gameplay also could be tested |

Actually, we prefer to have the game in Shockwave director (with some flash elements inside it for the smooth animation).
But mainly the intent is so that people don't have to download and install an exe file, and secondly, we are making it easily accessible by other platforms as well (mac, and i heard linux folks will be able to view shockwave as well.)
People will have shockwave plugin so they'll see the game right away. And most people are not inclined to download and run an exe file for fear of getting a virus or spyware.
And importantly, this gives us control and ensures that people will get the latest version when playing online. (We can fix the game and upload it and know that people will be playing the latest.)

A idea...
What about a Riddle Game? ^^
For example, in the screen is given a question about Vixine or QFF, and the user needs to look in the comics to answer the questions
like notprOn, but in Flash language
I can to make a game like this one ^^ |
