Well, I have to say I am surprised! Somehow I never thought of Silver Stalker as being akin to the Surfer. She always seemed to me to be, like so many of the "old" girls, a bit uninteresting. Seeing her skates made me think of Boogie Nights and disco stuff. I never really had an interest in her. But you have once again shown me how blind I am, Jeff. Silver Stalker's pictorial (like Heavy Water's) is so much greater than anything I could have expected. The magazine covers lend her an air of power and mystery. I particularly like the Playboy mag cover but they, truly, are all excellent.
And to think I dreaded this poll because none of the girls were serious contenders! i thought of them as being a bunch of the second-stringers of the JB universe. How wrong I was! So will Silver Stalker zoom into the JB/Northern Lights battle and rescue our lovely heroines? If we thought She bulk had serious orgasms wait until we see this cosmic mistress have an "O!"
Very nice work, Jeff!

...but I'd say that this Silver is the only friend a guy needs! Like Benjamin, I hadn't thought of Silver Stalker as being analagous to Silver Surfer, especially by the early artwork we'd seen of her. She's got some crazy platform pumps there! I really enjoyed the use of different magazine covers for this pictoral - I could see something like that being used more often. I did think it was funny, however, that in the pic on the front of "Playboy" Silver was clothed, and on the covers of "Newsweek" and "Vogue" she was nude, or close to it. Guess all those magazines are switched around in the JB-verse, eh? And if she is ever integrated into a future story, then I'd say the entire team is in biiig trouble, considering she's the herald for something called "Erecticus"... Well, okay, She-Bulk would probably enjoy it.
And yes, I did recognize the little play of words that was used on the first cover. Good thing she wasn't around at the time, or Kirk may have spent his time chasing her instead of saving the Federation. Great job, Jeff and Ronald!

Like everyone else, after seeing the "Rollergirl" Silver Stalker for the past couple years, I was surprised to see her riding the board. Though, I will say that her similarity to the Surfer is how I always thought of her. Since we've already had some lenghty weigh-ins on the BoM pictorial (more waiting for text though, sadly) I thought I'd praise you on the new format used for Stalker's puzzle. Great idea there, can't wait to see it on future puzzles. _________________ "Women are like Voltron. The more you hook up, the better it gets." |

I'm kinda amused. Here I thought Stalker's similarity to the Surfer was glaringly obvious. Looking through the bios, I don't see anyone else whose parallel universe identity isn't widely known here, so I'll say no more. (I mean, you all know who She-Bulk is supposed to be, right? Right??)
I was looking forward to this pictorial, even though I voted for someone else (Daisy Cutter, probably). In her original bio, Stalker came off as this young, sweet roller-bunny. Naive, but quite powerful, and potentially very talented sexually. (Snicker.) I'm glad to see this came out in some of the images.
First of all, I miss the original hand-drawn outfit, but the silver string bikini is a perfect alternative. I'd be tempted to go with silver for the strings rather than the black trim, but that's just me. I'm also thinking the platform heels are bit too porno. I've always liked pumps myself. I love the laces, though. Also, her new hair is wonderful, both color and style!
The body fits the idea I'd always had. The face seems to vary, though. In #1, she looks too old. Then we go to #2 and #3, which are absolutely perfect. Gaaaaaaaah. You know, it's pretty cool how a pose that doesn't show a thing at all, like #2, can still be one of the hottest things you've ever seen. The drooping of those long lashes, those marvelous silvery blue eyes, that finger near the lips - mmm, mmm, mmm. Then there's her cute little smile in #3. That whole pose is adorable. And yes, nice breasts. I do kinda wish she had more flawless skin; isn't she supposed to be something of a visually-ideal herald? (Speaking of which, "herald" is misspelled in #3...)
#4's another cute one, though the pose makes her rear look kinda big. Any chance we'll get to see the two pictorials mentioned on that cover? #5's a great tease shot. #6 - nice face, OK. #7's pose looks kinda awkward to me. #8's face again looks too old. A lot of it seems to be the way the nose was lit up. In the Time cover, for instance, it's a tiny impish thing, coming out of the brow between the eyes, and in #8 it kinda got a strong light all the way up, so it looks like it's straight down from the forehead. The lips also look a bit thinner.
Is there supposed to be a #9?
BTW, the puzzle reward image is another winner. Great pose; great young look. Keep the "sweet" look as much as you can.
I also like the upcoming issue foreshadowing. I gotta wonder when it'll come around, though. It takes so long to create an issue - how long does it take to render each page? I've heard from other places that it can take several hours to render a single scene, depending on hardware. Is that the case? The wait for more comics gets unbearable sometimes. I'm impressed this month's feature came out so quickly...

No. there is no #9. There is a bug with the next button on page 8 that least to a page 9 that does not exist!
Unbearable wait for Comic Pages? - Tell me about! I'm paying artists to produce handdrawn comics and it's taking forever to get an issued penciled, inked, colored, lettered with text and sfx.
Rendering might be slightly faster... for one person to do...
For one person to do handdrawn colored. I think that will just be way too much work.
