Friday.... 0530....
God it was cold. There was only a thin layer of snow layering the ground in the woods bordering Bon Bon, yet what would have been morning dew during any other months was now crystaling frost covering the leaves of the surrounding folliage. But this was how he liked it. There was something almost magical in the way ones breath fogged with every exhale, his snow white pelt blending with the snow laiden ground, camoflaging what bit of him wasn't covered by clothing as he sat propped against the tree, rifle in hand, waiting...
The sun had just began to break over the horizon, yet the forest floor still apeared dark as his eyes scanned over the scene, waiting for the first of the mornings scavengers to make their apperance. Only one eye managed to serve him much good anymore, the pure gold retina searching for any movement. His right eye however, void of any color, was nearly blind, the years of living with that damned war wound having first stolen his color, and now slowing stealing his sight as the years passed, not picking up much more than shadows anymore. Damn that blasted war.
However, one needed but one eye to shoot, and it wasn't long before a quiet shuffle in the shrubs across from him caught his attention, his grip on the rifle set in his lap tightening ever so slightly as he raised the weapon to his good eye, the sight coming to rest next to his maw. "My rifle is my ally..." He spoke quietly to himself as the rustling across from him continued. "... It will not run from a challenge. Will not abandon me in my time of need..." Then, from the bush came a wild boar, tusks digging at the snow as his snout sniffed for a meal. Slowly, his thumb rose from the stock of the rifle as he cocked back the hammer and brought the sight in line with the beasts skull. "...My rifle is my best soldier, and will stay at my side..." The beast suddenly smelled something in his surroundings, his head rising from the ground in alarm. "... always."
And suddenly, the still of the morning became shattered as the loud crack of gunfire echoed through the still air. _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

((Thanks))
Wolf was walking by the outskirts of town, taking samples of certain plants he found that could be used for medicinal purposes. The cold air reminded him of his youth from when he went hunting with his father.
Suddenly, a gunshot was heard at a good 2 kliks away.
Wolf's instincts kicked in and the first thing he had done was to duck behind cover.
-Gunshot? Someone must be hunting.-
He slowly stood up and peeked his head slightly from the tree a bit to the east. His cold breath was seen as kept his guard. _________________ http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=238903#238903- Wolf & Grimm!

The beast had fallen. A long stream of fog jetted from his nostrils in a sigh as the smoke billowed from rifles barrel in a similar fashion. The white wolf lowered the weapon from his face, his thumb rising from the stock once again as he clicked over the barrel lock, the barrel separating from the hammer case as the spent round expelled onto the ground, a small line of steam rising as hot metal began to melt the snow. He sighed again heavy, the crack of the gun having brought back so many memories he wished he could forget. He reached down to the pocket of his jacket, pulling forth a silver flask that he quickly unstopped and brought to his muzzle, silencing the voices of his past again, for now.
He heard a growling grunt from across the way, looking back to the fallen beast to see it still moving, the shot having pierced its neck instead of its skull. Poor bastard, he preferred not to make them suffer. He rose to his feet, propping the rifle against the tree as he walked over to where the boar now lay groaning in agony. He glared down upon it, the pain the creature was feeling so obvious in those wild eyes. Without a word, he lifted the side of his jacket, reaching to his belt and retrieving the high calibre revolver that had ne're left his side since the war. The barrel came into line with the beasts head as he cocked the hammer back and pulled the trigger, the beast falling silent as the loud crack split the air, almost louder than the rifle. "Rest easy now."
He began to return the revolver to its case when suddenly, his ears perked to a sound much larger than any animal. Someone was watching him, and the light cloud of breath eminating from behind one of the nearby trees confirmed it. In the blink of an eye, the gun was raised again, hammer cocked and aimed at the tree as the wolf's expression of danger became very apparent on his maw. "Show yourself. I prefer not to be snuck up on." _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

Wolf only pulled himself behind the tree once more as the revolver was aimed his way. There wasn't any danger whatsoever, only another wolf hunting about. He let his guard down as he placed his hand on the side of the tree. Noticing the rifle on the nearby tree he attempted to speak with the wolf.
"Lower you're weapon, I mean no harm."
To prove his innocence, the medical briefcase he carried with him was slowly placed on the snow. The briefcase was rather heavy as it sunk on the snow and showed the red caduceus on the side. _________________ http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=238903#238903- Wolf & Grimm!

Both eyes remained locked on the tree from behind the pistol, though one saw nothing more than shadows. Perhapse it was that feeling of slowly losing his vision that had him so tense and on edge. More likely though, it was the simple fact that it had been many years since he had just up and trusted anything or any body. The voice came to his ears, assuring him there was no harm. But then, if that was the case, why the hiding? He kept his sights on the tree, still unsure whether this strange voice was speaking the truth or just trying to trick him.
But then, he saw the arm as it lowered the cormans case to the snow laiden earth. A doctor? Perhapse then he was telling the truth. After all, he knew of very few doctors that ever carried fowl intentions. After a moments consideration, he finally raised his thumb to the hammer, trigger clicking as he guided the hammer back to its resting place before lowering it. "Well, if you mean no harm, than neither do I." Still not entirely trusting, the revolver remained in hand, just in case, though his over all attitude seemed to lighten slightly as a chuckle rumbled from the back of his throat. "Though, I would appreciate if I wasn't talking to a tree." _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

"Understandable. I approached you're hunting grounds without consent."
Stepping from behind the tree, another cold breath escaped his nuzzle as he grabbed his briefcase once more. His black clothing in overall easily made him standout in the white, blissful field of snow around them. He looked back again at the plant he was sampling for extract as he looked at the wolf once more.
"I was only looking for plants that i could use for my medicine."
The tension in the air was still strong as Wolf did not felt at ease with the other with a revolver in hand.
The expression of seriosness he bore did not help the situation at all. _________________ http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=238903#238903- Wolf & Grimm!

The other stepped slowly out from behind the tree, and he could see just in the way he dressed that he truly was harmless and not a threat. However, there was still that strong feeling of unease in the air as he mentioned his purpose for being in these woods in the first place. It was obvious that the other wolf had an overall disliking of the weapon in his hand, along with the tension and seriousness that still lay etched on his maw. Well, anyone that got that uppity around a gun was either of genuine good intentions, or one hell of an actor.
A small smile creased the corner of his muzzle in an attempt to ease the tension of the air. "You'll have to forgive me Doc., old habits." The corner of the dark flanell jacket lifted once again as he returned the pistol to its holster. It was odd for him, wearing such a casual attire versus the blue uniform he so generally sported. As a former officer, old habits truly did die hard, and his usual attire was one that had yet to die completely. That and his general distrust.
"Hope I didn't give you too much of a scare there Doc. Aint often I see anyone else out here." _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

"Lets see." Drodel said to himself as he put the bright red metel in a bucket of water. As steam rold from the bucket Drodel thought. This is a good place to take a brake. So he put his hammer in its loop on his aron. As he was putting the metal blade on the anvil he herd a loud gun shot. Some one must be hunting close to here... What the heck. Drodel thought as he went to his door and closed it. Then he was walking to the sound of the second shot. _________________ yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. that's why it is called the present.

Letting a small breath come out of his nuzzle, his expression had changed slightly as his seriousness didn't change as much but he let his guard down completely.
He took a few steps toward the wolf in a casual manner as his black clothing truly stood out in the cold, white snow. It was a strange feeling to be called Doc again, since the last time he used to be called like that was when he was in the army.
"No need to worry. Although, i would appreciate it if you didn't call me Doc. Brings back some memories. The name is Wolf Stride."
He didn't wish to be over talkative to the other wolf as his shoulders dropped down. As the fellow wolf mentioned the scare, a slight chuckle escaped his mouth. He eyed the other wolf and clearly didn't know of the blindness the other had.
Stopping just a few feet away from the other wolf, he placed the briefcase down.
"Don't worry. I have gotten used to having a guns barrel aiming my-"
His speech stopped short as he heard approaching footsteps. His left ear twitched as a sign of movement. He turned his face slightly in the direction of the noise.
"Someone approaches..."
His gaze looked unnerving at the sounds direction. The footsteps were a bit far off, but were approaching them nonetheless. A cold wind ran past them as its eerie sound passed. _________________ http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=238903#238903- Wolf & Grimm!

As the other approached him, he couldn't help but find his company a bit strange. He hadn't too often known anyone to wander into these woods other than him, especially this early in the day. But, he supposed any time was a good time to take a walk, even if your choice clothing made you stick out like a sore thumb. He chuckled again as hi scratched his snout, the wide scar the ran across his colorless eye, burning red previously from adrenaline, now returning to it normal, un-pelted hue. "Well, my appologies then.Good to meet ya Mr. Stride. The name's Feingo Ferinton."
As he glanced over the newcomer with his good eye, he couldn't help but notice something in his over-all build, along with how he carried himself. This guy was former military, and even if it was a part of his life that dwelled with bad memories, it was still something the retired commander could hold in high respect.
He had been about to make mention of his observation, when the others words suddenly fell short, no doubt from the same approaching footstep that he now heard. His face fell stern again as he began to reach to his gun. But then, something hit his nose that caused him to stop. A scent, and one that he knew quite well. And as soon as his face had shot defensive, a smirk began to tug at the corner of his maw before he called out to the unseen stranger. "That you Ovadin!? Holy hell, what in Gods name're you doin' out here this early!?" _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

(hope ya dont mind me joing in)
a huge muscular cheetah who just recently had been asleep high up in a oak tree had been woken up with what had been a gun shot streching and mumbling to him self. "can't a guy get any sleep around here now adays.
rubbing the scar across his red colourd left eye and slowly opening his left sky blue colord right eye.
despite the cold weather he wore a short white t-shirt witch showed off his muscular scarred arms and a pair of black trousers held up by a black leather belt, also hanging from a branch above him was a back pack and two swords.
still mumbling he stood up and already knocking most of the snow out the tree earlier the only way he would be seen is if someone looked straight up or he feel out.
grabbing his bag in a bit of a temper from being woken up a loud crakeing noise could be herd as the branch broke and a very loud voice cursing as two swords drop to the ground.
"ahhhhhh SHIT my swords". _________________ let my chains be broken so i can fly

-Feingo....Where have i heard that name before?-
As Feingo shot out his remark of knowing the approaching furson, Wolf let his guard down again. Wolf studied the other man, who clearly seems to have some time in here. Suddenly, the sounds of metal cutting through snow and soil made his guard stand again. The noise came almost directly behind him, so he turned around in a split second, hoping to see an attacker. He was only met with the sights oof Link, who apparently was resting on a nearby branch. The cursing he gave, ratted out his fellow work mate
"Link? What are you doing here?"
He turned to Feingo as his expression changed again. This time, he was smiling, which looked rather strange with Wolf's attire.
"Guess today is the day to find people we both know, eh?" _________________ http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=238903#238903- Wolf & Grimm!

"Hey I know that voice from anywhere..." Drodel said as he came into a clearing. "Feingo, I haven't seen you scence you got back. Man its been a while. Come here." Drodel said as he got next to Feingo and gave him a hug. "Been to long old freind." Drodel said as he took a arm off but left the one on Feingo's shoulders there. "Oh, Hi. Drodel Ovadin. Local weapon and blacksmith." Drodel said as he noticed Wolf and offered a handshake with his other hand. _________________ yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. that's why it is called the present.

It seemed as if his early morning hunt had quickly become a mass gathering. One second, he was sitting alone, waiting for a prize to make itself known, and now, here e was between the new come Mr. Stride, followed soon by his old friend Drodel as the owl walked into the clearing. He was happy to see Drodel, that apparent by the first true smile that broke his maw that morning. The last time he'd seen the owl had been just before departing on his trip to gather sellers to his shop, and that in itself had been almost a year ago. His hand patted hard into his friends back as he returned the friendly gesture. "Dang Drodel, It has been a while, hasn't it?"
And now, another member joined the group, the Commander's nerves sharpening just slightly as the swords hit the ground from out of nowhere. But, it was easy enough to relax once he noticed that Wolf apparently the cheetah. Lord, what a morning it was turning out to be thus far. _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

The morning winds blew as the swords fell into the cold snow. Wolf's heavy boots, ploded on the white snow as he approached Feingo once more. He eyed the two before extending his gloved hand out to greet them both properly. That's when Wolf finally took in the aura of Feingo. It was the aura of respect, of importance, of honor and of pain. It didn't take long for Wolf's smile to die out and show his serious expression.
