If I could think of a reason as to why I began this topic, it eludes me now. But that is a fair amount of my point. I know I'm not the only one to see people come and go, but it is more recently that I took note of a few losses that seemed more significant to most than others. Consider yourselves lucky that you got a goodbye, as it doesn't seem to happen too often when people go.

For me, it reminds me of two users that I don't know how many of the newer members remember, and I could think perhaps only Rune would have felt the same kinda connection with them as I did, though Cassandre left quite an impact on a lot of members.

Sometimes, it seems easier to walk away from a site like this for financial reasons, I've done it once before myself. In the end, though, I came back and haven't left since. When I rejoined and decided to actually be active here, there were 4 or so others that were in similar boats, and there have been plenty of others since then, not too many seem to stay, though. Thale, rune, and myself are the ones I know of with similar start dates, but I really don't recall how many others there had been before and since our joining that haven't lasted.

This whole thing may well seem like I'm just rambling on, and rightly so because I am. If you don't care to read through it, I'm not making you. I just finally felt the need to let some things get off my chest, so here it is.

Now, I'm hesitant to start/join RPs at this point, because it doesn't seem to go well for me. Either getting hi-jacked by a new member, or derailed by someone leaving. I guess it just makes it a little harder to get into things when you start to know that not everyone is going to hang around.

acutely shadow-twisted i do know whats this is like now im not sure if im writing this correctly but there was a member i got on with really well called relentless i know the two members your on about haveing been around for awhile now.

but what im saying is relentless as well just left without any warning.

relentless and mr writer have both seemingly taken mysterious leaves of absence. Not sure about writer as to whether or not he'll reappear or not, but we've had a few others leave since then. On a positive note, grlover23 at least said she'll try to return in a couple months.

As far as Cass and Mystic, Cass is the only one I have any confidence in saying is gone (though I hate to say it). Mystic has usually just been a very infrequent visitor, popping in every now and again, but rarely with any great frequency. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of her, or Labrn for that matter.

May be me own opinion, but think its cause the forums split. Like not as easy to check everything as it was before now going to different sections.

I've been in touch with Marx on DA. As it turns out, he never had a paying membership to the site. He had hoped to just join the forums until he could pay to join and left when it seemed less possible. I hope he returns someday when his finances are in order, it would have been nice to see another avian...

Well some of us are part of the Military. I also know of a few that are deployed right now. I miss Goddess of the Night. She was one of those bright spots that made everyone smile. She never put anyone down. I've been around for a few years now. So yeah I miss a lot of those that were on and then just left suddenly. Maybe one day we can see them again.
