Surprised lol, I understand what you meant, one of the key things to doing a large scale drawing is to plan every aspect of it before hand. What grade pencils to use where, how to go about it and what to draw first to keep an eye on the contrast and keep it under control.

I sketch the entire thing out (most of the time), than I do some minor shading in the dark shadows and other dark areas, from there, I'll blend those dark areas and push that graphite into some of the mid tone areas and "sculpt" quite a bit of the drawing with a blending stump. I can go on and on, let me know if you're interested in my technique, I'd be glad to share. Wink

If you look at the drawing in this thread, it kind of shows how I go about it, but this one was a little bit different because of the water. It's more of a 2 section drawing.

Thanks for the interest!

Poe.

Embarassed Sorry for putting down the pencils for sooo long. I just started in a tattoo shop so I'll have a lot of time to work on drawings with no baby getting into everything, which makes drawing impossible. So I'll be finishing this up real soon and sending it out to you. Surprised
