You shouldn't get rid of your fursona's past, even if it is violent.
You should focus more on creating stories that build on your characters past.
I know that lately people have been more vocal about their dislike for fursonas with troubled pasts, but you should not let their words influence your character.
I have a violent past fursona , but it doesn't effect my characters behavior in the slightest.

I understand wanting your fursona to match your real life, I just want you to realize that your first fursona will always be more like you than you realize. When you make you first fursona you have nothing influencing your interests and your personality.
And every fursona you make after that is just a collection of everyone's opinion influencing how you view yourself and how you would like to be viewed.
I'm not trying to stop you I'm just trying to get you to really think about what your plan of action will be
So before you completely scrap your current character, you should think long and hard about what you are and what you want to be.

It really depends on what you want, dragonfly. Some people seem to already have a character planned before they join PBB, while others come up with a character after they join.
It's up to you to decide what your fursona should be like, but it's true that Bon Bon isn't about violence and characters fighting each other with various weapons. That's why such characters, to some people at least, may seem like they would belong much better in a different kind of story than in a romantic comic.
The choice is yours of course, but keep in mind that the more dangerous and violent you make your fursona, the more difficult it might be for Vanessa to make a proper cameo for him in the comic.
I just hope that you, or anyone else with a fursona with a violent past or occupation, don't feel pressured into creating a fursona they don't really like. I know that I've spoken in favor of the more peaceful and mundane occupations, but I'd really hate for anyone here to feel unwelcome or disliked in any way, because of their choice of fursona.

no i understand u symphony what im thinking of doing is he after the death of his twin brother he goes for revenge on his gang he joind as one of them killed him but he fails and get brutally beaten and is left in a alley to die but a kind rich woman takes him in and shows him violence isn't the way to do things so after staying with her for 2 years he becomes a true gentleman and romantic person but he stills feels guilty about his brother believeing he was the cause of it so she tells him about bon bon and its first rule so thinking about it he decides to go there and give up his violentbways for good and as i said i haven't gave him a violent occpation he is a entertainer but is highly skilled at life risking stunts to witch i think isnt a violent occpation as he is entertaining them.

name: link hunter collins (his real name is linkarey but he abounded it when he moved to bon bon).
age: 21
species: cheetah
gender: male
orientation: straight
birthplace/nationality: born in england he is half english half australian.
hair: long black hair tied back in a ponytail.
height: 6'8'
weight: 273. lbs mainly due to mucle
eyes: left eye is blood red.
right eye is sky blue.
fur style: normal cheetah style fur but the tip of his tail is red.
markings: scar across his left eye and another scar starting from his top right shoulder blade to his lower left part of his back.
also has many scars across his chest.
build: very muscular for his species link put his body trough some very tough training to gain a very muscular and fit body.
clotting:
short white cotton shirt
black trousers with a black leather belt the buckle is a silver skull with rubys in it eyes
black leather boots.
jewellery: a silver necklace with a gold ring on it the ring has a black stone set in it and a second ring witch he wears on his tail this ring has a diamond set in it.
he never removes his jewellery no matter what.
occupation: showman/entertainer at delight castle mostly does dangerous stunts.
personality: in his past link was a very violent and angry person he would not care for anyone or anything but after the death of his twin brother and his near death experience.
link became distanent and found it hard to trust people it took along time for link to trust the kind man who saved his life and other people.
after liveing with him and his so link's personality changed to him being a polite and kind young man who will help anyone who needs a helping paw.
hobbies: link likes being surroundid in a beautiful and calm senary where he can clime a tree and read a book.
he also is an exepert pianist he was taught how to play by the kind man
also likes to entertain people with his incredible shows.
weapons: (he uses these in his shows)
he carriers two custom made swords
the first sword is his own a katana he calls (luna) the handle has black leather with three diamonds inbedid in the handle. the blade is made out of tampered steel with diamonds infusd in the steel.
the second sword is another katana witch was his twins brothers its called (sol) the handle has white leather with three onyx's inbedid in the handle. the blade is made out of tampered steel with onxy's infusd in the steel.
sexuality: link has a thing for vixens and any species of cat he has no problem with anykind of position but likes it best when the women's on top as he likes to see the pleasure on the furson face. link strictly prefer's one on one only but will sometimes accept a threesome but not with another man involved also he is very gentle and finds it inpossible to be rough with any lady he is with.
biography: link was born on the 7th of august 1874 in the roughest parts of london, he and his twin brother never know there parents as they where murdered in a brutal gang fight.
