As for something on topic... Well, this is the time cocaine is touted as a miracle drug. I suppose catnip will fit in well for high class fops needing a little something more than the local women to keep them entertained.
I find that it should be required insulting, myself.

Which fits the characteristics of snuff use in that (this?) era. And I am surprised by your opposition to it's use as a sexual stimulant, Doktor. No offense intended, but isn't that one of the products yousupply for the city, or was that billboard merely a case of false advertising? 
Now, granted, requiring any form of drug simply to have sex in the first place is rather sad. However not every man has the endurance to be able to fully satisfy some of you lusty ladies. Rather than risk becoming a disapointment I can easily see how many men would rather resort to a chemical compromise than be labeled thusly.
