I started this when I realize that many males may have more violent pasts, but less of a violent profession. This got me to wondering if a person lists a violent history, does that immediately repute him as a violent individual?
For instance, Samuel used to be an assassin. He really didn't like it, but he valued his survival high enough to the point that he did what he was told. In Bon Bon town, he seeks to finally put that distasteful part of himself behind him. He learned how to be 2 people: a calculated killer, as well as respectable citizen of the higher class. He enjoyed living a luxurious lifestyle more than taking a life, so he of course became more accustomed to his civil side rather than the killer.
Still, there was that violent side, so do people view that as enough to warrant caution when around him? |

I don't think that the association goes both ways. While Violent people do lead violent lives, a violent past does not inherently mean the person is violent. A soldier at a time of war is going have lead a violent life, however the soldier may not be a violent person himself. Still the stigma of his past is going to leave most people wary of crossing him, unless they knew him before hand. That's my opinion at least. _________________ My Fursona(updates occasionally) http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7537

On the other hand, my Samuel, Captain Blackwing, doesn't necessarily have a violent past, but he is a pirate. This means that while he may not be a violent person when his on land, his job does necessitate acts of violence. |

it is a strong trend in bon bon to have a violent past but the main theme seems to be that they regret this past and are ashamed or atleast don't like to talk about their past. James seems to be one of the exceptions who is currently involved in violence but also is unashamed of it, though i suppose it is more a case of "I'm just doing my job, it's not my fault i like it"
back to the question at hand, yes it is necessary to practice caution when around those who's lives have known violence because experiencing such things remove a persons inhibitions making it easier for them to be violent _________________ wondering where the jackal came from: http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7940 updates here or there

I suppose it would all have to depend on whom the question was possed too, since everyones personality and how they take their past now is going to be different. Take Feingo for example. His past was a wasteland of violence in which he lost everything, nearly including his own life. But now, he's usually a calm person, yet still has a hair trigger temper along with the occasional violent outburst. So in a case like his, yes, a violent past would most certainly be cause for caution. _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms
