A fox was stumbling through the town, though this wasn't like any drunk. This man was clearly insane. Several people he encountered were met with promises of the end of days and flying metal carriages.

Just as the man was shambling around in the middle of the street, he stopped suddenly and grabbed his neck. He pulled off what appeared to be a dart before spinning a couple of times and falling to the ground.

Not but ten yards away was Alex with his rifle still shouldered after he just fired "These tranq darts better last as long as they said." he said before slinging his rifle and walking over to the man who was now unconscious and drooling "Great, got myself a leaker."

"Well there's a pleasant greeting." an Arctic Wolf said coldly as heard the commotion behind him. He turned to face in the direction of Alex, his black cane tapping gently on the street in front of him, his eyes closed. "And what exactly was it that this poor man did to you to warrant being shot in the throat with a dart?" Shane asked in the same tone.

Alex kneeled down and started to tie up the fox when a wolf came over. He looked up and replied to him "Well, this guy is an escapee from the mental institution in Treviso. So they hired me to get him back." alex said as he finished tieing up the fox. He stood up and turned to the wolf "You wouldn't believe how bad they're security is over there."

Alex fished around in his pockets and pulled out a notepad "Let see, Scott Sharpe. Severe case of dementia. Has been known to freak out and harm people when he hears coaches going along stone roads. If approached, exercise extreme caution." he read aloud before putting the notepad back into his pocket "That's all I know about the guy."

(Ok! I was just a little put off by the tranquillizer gun, as they won't exist for like 60 years haha!)

Abigail had been stepping around the town, trying to get "Acquainted" with it so to say.

Suddenly though, she had witnessed a shocking display of what seemed like assault on a fox who appeared to be fleeing from an awfully scary looking individual she was rather close when it all happened and she let out a small wail from the shock. Then she noticed another wolf and the first was digging through the fox's pockets.

"Oh my good lord! are you two mugging that poor man??"

Alex looked up at a rabbit who just asked him something "Huh, oh no. This man is mentaly ill, and I'm just here to get him back to the institution." Alex said before picking the fox up and throwing him over his shoulder.

(Oh but I do know, 1950's in New Zealand. and it took the people about ten years to make a tranq that didn't kill the animals they shot Thanks Wikipedia! But I suppose this doesn't have to be historically accurate.)

"Mentally ill? Oh my..." She felt a bit flustered at the thought and fanned herself with her right hand and held her right over her closed lips to hide how easily she could be shocked.

(Think about it, tribes dating back centuries have always been using poison darts and they knew how to make paralyzing poisons for them long before we even started making guns. Maybe Alex knows one such recipe and has modified a rifle to shoot modified darts with this paralyzing poison on it.)

Shane gave a small, subtle grunt at Alex's explanation, then turned and continued on his way.

Walking through the town, Thomas spotted an unattended coach. Looking about briefly, he decided to take a closer look at the interior and whatever may be inside. Quickly, the rat moved to the door closest to him, opened it, and stepped inside to begin perusing.

Thomas kept low in the coach, occasionally glancing out of the windows to check if anyone was approaching. He made sure not to stay long. There were a couple of bags and a chest inside, which contained several bulky items and a small pouch that jingled when shook. Stuffing the pouch in his pocket, Thomas grabbed one of the bags and left the coach, ducking into a nearby alley with haste.

"Well, I suppose he will be cured in the place of mental healing." She said positively.

As they arrived at the coach she sighed. "Well I'm afraid I must leave now, Alex. I do hope we can speak again when you get back in town." She curtseyed again and took her leave. Not mentioning her curiosity to what the Rat did in the coach, she had seen where he had went and went into the same alley for a looksee.

"Hey!"Alex shouted at Thomas as he saw him leave the coach. He ran up and put Scott inside then looked around. He noticed a pouch missing and jumped out "Shit! He took the tranqulizer." he said rubbing his forehead "I need to get them back." Alex said as he grabbed his rifle and loaded another dart.

Thomas moved with experienced speed. He entered the alley and left it in moments at the other end. The large rat didn't look back, not even when he heard someone call out. From a fast walk, Thomas started running, making his way to the edge of town. He had learned never to move in a straight line when retreating, so he crossed the street and burst into a house, making his way through it.
