I am not a payer yer- but may become one in the future due to the fact that this site actually looks respectable Came here by complete accident actually but strangley enough this place has its own thing going. Anyways the question is how do you do your coloring/shading. I for the longest time have not been able to get the desired affects without doing it pixel by pixel which is VERY tedious. be nice to know how to do it without taking 36 hours for a picture.
(and also once i get this down i consider myself a very good artist and wonder if you are looking for any- I can show samples) |

HI!
I'm Federico, artist of both "Quest for Fun" and "Vixine" comics series...
I'll let Serena (who colors the 2 comics) or Vanessa (who colors -and draw- "Pleasure Bonbon") to reply with more info, but i can tell you that grapich programs, like photoshop, paint shop pro and painter, have a lot of tools for shading in a cool way and in few time!
Show us something - and i hope you'll like the comics when you'll become a member!

Cool- I will get on a sample asap- Really I am more of an artist of the... wierd. I-since a short while back have been looking into Vixine and the way it is drawn and am trying to emulate it. After that I will put my own spin into it. If I could get a slightly more indepth look at coloring though I could make something that looks really good fairly easy.
Sadly I have never had the chance to enter a high level art class- But I believe that this will do more good than bad considering that if I create my style then I will master it much easier.
Thank you for your fast reply and I will see what I can make. It is nice that there is a community here.

alright... I hype myself to make a great drawing- and I can only find a half a pencil and a sheet of notebook paper... *Sigh* Instead of attempting to draw something good with crappy stuff I decided to spend the time for more practice- and I have to say I love the drawing style used for your pictures *all of them* I found that once I get this down I could pump out drawings one after the other no problem.
I thank you for inspiring me to work more toward this because I can really see some great drawings coming from this style in the future.
Also I am based in America (just a note)
Soon as I actually go out and get something to draw with I will get this done. |
