Lancelot would have something reliable and easy to take care of, probably some form of a canine, a boxer.
Ginny would have something exotic, a Siamese cat. _________________ My fursonas |

Constance would have a cat. Mostly likely some abandoned little kitty she found outside in the rain and brought back to her home. A cat is the animal that would suit her the best. She would love to play with it and pet it, and let it lie purring and sleeping in her lap.
I can't really imagine her with other forms of pets. If she wasn't a mare, I'd say that she'd have a horse as well, but I think it would just look weird to see one equine riding another. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

My Fursona Tearlach doesn't have a pet. However his sister Talitha does.
It is a giant spider called Matilda, a little over four feet long(it's body is that long with the legs as well it looks a lot bigger). It is from the Tarantula branch of arachnids so is rather 'Furry' in appearence, orange-brown and black in colouration. It is a vegetarian feeding on mostly soft skined fruits such as oranges, limes, lemons ect though it does really love melons.
Matilda aka Tilly is quite intelligent about same as a Chimpanze or Gorilla, and comminicates with soft hisses and waving of 'her' legs. Matilda can also use english phrases like a parrort. So far she has learnt the phrases: "Hello Sailor" " Give us a kiss" and "Tilly want a melon". _________________ Terminus: http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=239198#239198

Tadelesh would have a pet tiger!
Nah, just kidding. As he travels a lot (well, until he arrives in Bon Bon, at least), it would most likely be something easy to transport and keep alive on the road, perhaps a trained bird of some kind. It could also help him with his tricks. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

I know this was a straight forward and innocent question ... But it does seem strange that a furry would want have a furry for a pet. wouldn't that be considered like owning a slave? It just struck me as odd. In a world of anthropomorphized animals wouldn't a "pet cat" also be an intelligent sentient being ... That's a hard concept for me to get comfortable with. I guess Avrie might feed the frogs in the river behind his manor, and give them treats for singing sweetly in the spring time ... but I don't see him keeping any in an aquarium.
Don't mind me ... I'm new enough to still be struggling with a new world here, and these simple concepts make me stop and think. I just can't picture my cat sitting up and saying " Hey buddy if I don't get some fresh fish tonight I'm sharpening my claws on your new couch ... Are we clear?" Just a thought |

I believe this has been covered in previous discussions, Avrie: there are, like in our world, non-sentient animals in the world of Pleasure Bon Bon. The horses that pull the carriages, for instance, are ordinary horses and not relatives of Constance. Also, there are domesticated farm animals such as pigs, sheep and cows to provide the meat for those of us who are meat-eaters. Therefore, it's not a difficult stretch of the imagination for there to be domestic, household pets. They would not be talking, sentient pets: they would be ordinary ones like you might have at home. I hope that clears up your confusion. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |
