Wow. I may not know what it says, but how you stroke each line is good. You indeed done a good job on Chinese Calligraphy, Mr. DesertWolf. :3

1)It's a person's name


2)I'll translate two of the characters(from left-right is Fan Ni)

3)the characters are pronounced fawn nee

4)You should spot this person's name everywhere on this site.

It's said if you go back far enough, calligraphy and swordsmanship share the same roots. I don't know how much truth there is in that, but I do now it's a great way to practice steadying your hand, thereby improving your swordsmanship.

Very good Ashton, this was how my sifu taught me to use the jian or Chinese straight sword which in China is called "the scholar of weapons"for its association with the ancient Chinese scholars who often used calligraphy to train.

Oh! I see now how Calligraphy and swordsmanship are similar.

If I my imagination is correct, when a person use the brush, is like holding a sword and the moving brush, is like a moving sword, so doing calligraphy helps improve a person control his/her movement when using a hand held weapon.
