Hey, guys...yet another new game topic I'd like to introduce...
I've played this game several different times and it seems the furthest I can ever make it is the 7th level. Any one got any strategy suggestions for how to get further in the game? I'd love to see the higher-end reward images.
And, Ron, any possibilities of adding new picture sets to this game? _________________ When the going gets tough, the tough get naked |

Only once did I ever make it to the 8th level in this game. I've long since given up playing it after spending many hours trying to devise different strategies for getting further with it than that. _________________

Yeah- I've given up on the game too a while back..
It was an addiction for me playing crackdown and trying to beat the game.
I may revisit crackdown again and changing the format and making a new version of some sort.....
I usually only make games I like to play myself. I've seen variations of crackdown on the internet which drove me to make one.
I played all the crackdown games non-stop for about a week.... everyday I loaded the game out and kept trying to get beyond level 8. It's a challenge for sure.

If you rework it then I'll give it a try again, but otherwise I'd even rather spend time play Extreme Solitaire. Speaking of which, perhaps you could create a points system for that game which allows a player to continue on if they earn enough points, instead of having to start the game over again if you don't get all the suits put away. It just takes far, far too much time to play to reveal all the pictures. _________________

I've reached level 9 on two of the games. But you need to achieve 98% on that level so I gave up (there is only one more picture after that). It's hard enough to achieve that (98%) on the lower levels.
I had a strategy of trying to record a sequence of good moves at the start and hope to set up an easier finish. It's trail and error mostly. Remember to try and get to the bottom as the block piles move together when you remove the bottom block. Also try to avoid stranding tall columns. You can't expect every game to be easy? Thats the fun!
I did email Ron about this and he said...

Yeah the crackdown was meant to be challenging since alot of people really
wanted the challenge of playing....
But the reward images in crack down for one of the girls was used in Strip
Poker.
(Rachel construction worker.) Level 9 and 10 reward is just a variation on
the nude at level 8...
I personally have never gone past level 8. so dont feel bad. and for a while
i kept playing it non stop
just to get to it... the game is not meant to be beated.... some games
like tetris just goes on forever.
at level 10 it just speeds up so u can do it forever if u are skilled....
some people like that...
so that was why i had images beyond level 8 just for those who do sit there
forever to get something at the end..
hope you understand the design on that... |
