I'm going to the hospital in two weeks for an operation on my leg. I have a tumor or somethingthere and it's my first operation. Yeah I'm nervious and I hate sharp pointy needles.
So please wish me luck and sorry if this doesn't belong in here.

Got surgery in my left leg myself a while ago (due to a REALLY badly busted knee), and while it's not exactly fun and jokes, it's nothing to be really worried about, so chin up, man. It'll be ok!

Trust me, the worst part was the hospital stay afterwards... boredom and awkwardness. But that will pass too.

Just remember to bring something to read or to do while you're there!

While it may not measure up to leg surgery, since Martin shared his surgery story, I thought I should share mine, especially since I was the first to try and comfort you. I had to have my wisdom teeth out a while back and if nothing else, you can look at it like this, at least you'll still be able to chew .

There is alot I an do for after the operation whilest I lay in the bed of boredom. I'm working on a story and a few sketches....

Don't be too upset about being afraid of pointy needles. When we were doing a blood drive over here, one of our greatest and bravest Sergeants passed out before they even started to draw the blood. Poor guy.

Besides, I'm sure we'll see one or two "Get Better" picks of Drake being "cared for" after his surgery.

Thanks vanessa thank you all of you. It's getting pushed up sooner then I thought because The docters don't want to risk it getting worse since I do have tumors elsewhere but they aren't any threat. It might be this comeing weekend or next monday, I have yet to be told but thank you all.
Though I'm sure there is one girl I'd like a warm welcome from but more then one is even warmer

Good luck! And absolutely agree, hardest part is getting there. Had hand surgery in January.... 6 hours waiting around in pre-op getting nervous only to get one shot and happy drugs when I woke up. Think the pre-op was worse than the actual stitches and brace. Happy thoughts!

Awwww... I now I will have warm thoughts of you all being so nice to me. I'm sure with them I'll be fine. I was told it will happen this Sunday Afternoon, the 15th I think it is and I'll be back on monday. I thought it would be later on but I guess they mannaged to get me in sooner.

I'm Back and it went well, I'm embarrased to say I passed out when the 'kind' Doctor played a joke and showed me a foot long needle. But when i came to only a few secondsl; ater the got me ready, put me out and i took monday to recover just abit and now I'm alright Thanks to all of you.

The smallest words are quite often the most powerful, a good example, and one of the best in my opinion, would be "love". It's so overused though, many people just think it's corny.

Ya know, most doctors tell jokes or wear funny little clown noses to bring a smile to your face. Not try to cause heart attacks on their patients.

Though, we've had a few over here faint at the sight of needles. I had to look away, not so much that I dislike them, but I hate things sticking in me. When I give blood, I have to look at the ceiling to keep from ripping the needle and tubes from my arms.

Glad to have you back. Now go smile at the comment I made in a different post, because you were mentioned in it.
