Alley,
Considering I have asked serious questions about religion, war, and politics, I thought I would ask you a few questions about my ultimate love: science.
1. Some people might call science "anti-religion" or "anti-God." I am not one of them. What do you think? Do you believe that it is against God to desire to learn more about the universe around us? Or even some parts of science (ex: cloning), but others not (ex: cure for cancer)? (I assume not from your previous post, but just thought I would ask.)
2. Was science one of your favorite subjects in school and how did you do in it? If it was, was there a specific one you liked (biology, chemistry, PHYSICS - my favorite ) or did you like all of them? If not, what was your favorite and what did you like about it (if it is something other than Phys Ed because everyone likes Phys Ed because of the fun factor.)?
3. Do you ever read about advances in science? In my experience with everyday people I have come to realize most people believe science fiction is complete fiction. In fact, if you do read about recent advances. warp/anti-matter drives are being looked into, a holodeck is being studied (in California, actually), a transporter has been created (although I have to hear about it transporting something more complex than a photon of light, but you have to start somewhere), etc.
4. Do you believe in extra-terrestrial intelligence? By this I mean, do you believe that there are species out in the universe, on other planets, that are as/more intelligent than us? I'm not asking do you think they have visited us or have abducted people. That is a whole other issue, but if you would like to answer that, too, you are definitely welcome to.
Again, there is no offense intended. If I think of more questions, I will be sure to ask.
Sincerely,
