I've had this brewing in my head for awhile about opening up a school and teaching people what I know. I'm still working on the rules part but want to know if anybody is interested.

What's a school without a few rules?
STUDENT CREED
Remembering that the martial arts begin and end with respect:
I
I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my
mental growth or my physical health.
II
I intend to develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
III
I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively, to help myself and my
fellow man and woman and never to be abusive or offensive.
FIVE TENETS
The etiquette of martial arts is rooted in Eastern philosophy which emphasizes respect.
Our Academy’s five tenets define the spirit of a good martial artist:
Courtesy
behavior that demonstrates consideration, cooperation, and generosity
Integrity
honesty, trustworthiness, and incorruptibility
Perseverance
determination, steadfastness, persisting in spite of difficulties
Self-Control
exercising restraint over one's impulses, self-discipline
Indomitable Spirit
unconquerable courage, a 'yes I can' attitude

Thanks,I thought this would be unique since nobody has a martial arts/fitness school until now.I'm working on some stuff for the rp now and hopefully to get it up and running soon.Almost forgot welcome to the school.

Terminology used at the school:
kung-fu(gung-fu or gong-fu)loosely translates as "skill or achievement gained through hard work." By Chinese thought it relates to person's skill(s)not just in martial arts but in anything that requires achievement through a long period of practice for instance I could say Vanessa shows excellent kung-fu in her artwork.
wushu--It translates into martial arts and is the correct term when dealing with Chinese martial arts it actually has deeper meaning.The word wu is comprised of to smaller characters zhi and ge. Zhi means to halt or stop and ge looks like an older Chinese character for spear.Since many Chinese martial arts were formed from either a Buddhist or Taoist root, many translate this as either "to stop a weapon" or "to stop violence."
Ch'i or qi-- Literally means breathe or air according to Chinese doctrine if a person trains his body along with his ch'i he is able to perform superhuman feats such as iron body.
Titles:
Sifu(Shifu)--literally father/teacher this is the person who is in charge of teaching martial arts.As the saying goes"your father gives you life but your teacher is your father for life."
Sigung--literally teacher's father the Sigung is the one who taught the sifu martial arts.
Sidai 师弟 師弟 si1 dai6 shī dì junior male classmate
Simui 师妹 師妹 si1 mui6 shī mèi junior female classmate
Sihing 师兄 師兄 si1 hing1 shī xiōng senior male classmate
Sije 师姐 師姐 si1 je2 shī jiě senior female classmate
Sisuk 师叔 師叔 si1 suk1 shī shū master's junior male or female classmate
Sibak 师伯 師伯 si1 baak3 shī bó master's senior male or female classmate
Sigung 师公 師公 si1 gung1 shī gōng master's master
Sitaigung 师太公 師太公 si1 taai3 gung1 shī tài gōng master's master's master
Sijo 师祖 師祖 si1 jou2 shī zǔ master's master's master's master
I decided to simplify addressing my character while at school.This will be the title : Shifu Li

It would depend on the circumstances of the bears being around.If we're talking a Heihachi/Kuma or Ling Xiaoyu/Panda type of interaction,I'd have to say no on the simple grounds of lack of communication as well as body mechanics.If it's a Sonny Chiba/Mas Oyama situation,I'm sure I could work something out but it would have to be a survival deal as opposed to a skill check.If it's just a random you spot them on the grounds I've no problem with that.
