It was late evening. The moon was low, just beginning its trek across the sky. Shane, even though he couldn't see it, lifted his head towards the star filled heavens and breathed deeply, filling his lungs with the night's fresh air.

He walked down the path towards his new home. It was a small gravel path that led out of BonBon to an open part of the landscape. Trees dotted the area and concealed a portion of the small river than ran nearby the wolf's house. It wasn't uncommon that he found Star bathing in that part of the river... at which point her bathing ceased and certian other activities began.

With his cane swinging back and forth in front of him like a pendulum, Shane walked along the path. When he reached the small turnoff that led to his front door he turned. His cane didn't indicate where the path branched off, he needed no such indication. Though he was blind, the wolf's acute memory was as clear as any map. He remembered every step and turn he took and knew exactly where he was.

When he reached the frotn door, he turned the handle and stepped inside. He put his cane down, just inside the doorway, then took off his coat and hung it up. By following Star scent, Shane knew exactly where in the house she was. He made his way softly into the kitchen where the tigeress was making dinner. Calmly and carefully, the wolf slipped his hands onto Star's hips, slid them to her waist and finnaly wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him and kissing her on top of the head as a greeting, his nose fillign with her scent and that of the meal she was making.
