Its a shame, but its true with most furry artists. Take a look around any site. Even if they don't do full hardcore works, there pretty much seems to be only two ways to success when it comes to works of furry art.
1) Sex/Adult entertainment or 2) Cute/Chibi comedic works. |
I've thought of this as well. And not just when it's about furry artwork, but pay sites in general. I can't recall a single one I've come across that wasn't adult or pornographic. I'm sure there are some and I may even have seen them myself, it's just that at the moment I'm thinking that it's difficult to get people to pay on a monthly basis, unless it involves sex.
And while I personally enjoy many aspects of this site and Vanessa's work, I probably wouldn't have joined this site in the first place if it wasn't for the erotic bits. Which is kind of a shame really, as the Bon Bon comic has so many more aspects to it.

well I have to say. bon bon. when I just read the first issue it really REALLY moved my mind. it beats all. and I do mean ALL other furry sex comics I have ever seen
here's a few reason
1. Vanessa's art, shiny and really really lifelike, it fits the victorian era style so much and fitting
2, I never seen a story like PBB before. many twist, humor, and of course hmm... a bit of sex ~.^ all balanced. Really love it
3. I am impressed mostly how vanessa gives text description when a couple of char having sex, why?
most other comics the char would just like saying "ohhhh yes yes! F**k me! More more!" and they do it repetitively and its BORING ><.
but vanessa made the dialog in the comic when having sex is very lifelike, like a real couple. and really intimate with the description too.
4. The humor? HILLARIOUS!
when I see betty dropped the lipstick on the floor because violet let go off the customer for free in the first issue? it really really made me laugh

No worries hun. I'm sure the same is true for many of us. ^^; I know it was through Vixen that I found Vanessa, and her erotic furry works really caught my eye. But now that the original drooling allure of of hot erotic images has somewhat passed, I can enjoy her artwork for the great detail and time she puts into them as well.
