This fad drinking reminds me of a little thing called 'power hour' where people who just turned 21 (or whatever the age limit law is) would try to drink as much alcohol as possible before the bar/pub would close for the night. This kinda came about where I live since the U.S. started looking for 18 yr olds who cross into Canada to get a drink. Now these places are open a little later to disuade this 'rite of passage' _________________ "If it ain't broke, just wait awhile. Because it will be. |

Course if you get a DUI in the States, you can't drive in Canada, it's a Federal offense there. _________________ "If it ain't broke, just wait awhile. Because it will be. |

That's part of what makes it fun. Though this "Moon hopping" idea intrigues me. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Gotta love a bartender that wants to call a cab for you. Had one for a while that knew my schedule and when to send me home so I wouldn't miss work. And sadly I've rung up a few 100+ tabs myself. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

You two are terrible! XD *smacks Tsavo and Xebulon each on the shoulders*
I have the greatest deterrent to alcohol. I hate the taste. So I don't have to worry about such nonsense. However, when a friend challenges me to a simple contest or my friends are playing a drinking game, I'm all for it. Mostly because I can take them all down!
Which, in retrospect, is kind of disturbing that I'd be such a good drunk. ^^; _________________ The suspense is killing me. I hope it will last. |

I'll have you know, Labrn, that I am never terrible. Abominable on occasion, even sometimes horrible. But never terrible. And as for your... condition, I used to have a friend who was the same way. He always claimed that the taste of alcohol made him sick. but he has been cured of that now by the introduction to fruity, fru-fru girly drinks. I'm still working him towards the wonderful world of craft beer, but one step at a time. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

I'm currently planning a trip down to a local brewery that is only like 2 hours away. They supplied all the beer to the last highland games I went to. Wonderful stuff, I need to get more now. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

*takes a low bow* Thank you good sir, I only work with what's given to me and believe me it didn't take much. *chuckles as he returns upright* Seriously though, If I see an opportunity, I'll take it! _________________ "If it ain't broke, just wait awhile. Because it will be. |

If you aren't already familiar with them, I highly recommend the Victory, Rogue, Tröegs, Clipper City, Stoudts, Flying Dog, Tommyknocker and Stone breweries. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Rogue makes Dead Guy Ale, right? That is some tasty stuff. I've had some of Flying Dog's stuff too.
Dunedin Brewery is the one I'm planning my next trip to. The Stout was fantastic. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

Yes Dead Guy Ale is one of Rogue's trademark beers and yes, it is mighty fine. Never heard of Dunedin though, have to look into that. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Dead Guy Ale, eh? The liquor store up the street sells that, I just might have to try it.

I only drink a couple times per year and only because I feel obligated to. It's not that I dislike the taste (which I often do, but not always), but because I simply hate feeling intoxicated or tipsy. Besides, I have a family history of people going... overboard. I'd rather not take a step down that road if I can help it.
Makes me a killjoy at some parties, I will admit... But I don't mind so much. _________________ "Doktor! Are you sure this will work?!" "HAHA! I HAVE NO IDEA!" |

I have to say my love and my weakness is the Carbomb. It wouldn't be so bad if I could stop at one.
Kommy, while I love to drink I've never thought of those who don't as a kill joy. You have to keep yourself happy.
I will quote Dean Martin though and say, "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. They wake up in the morning and that's the best they're going to feel all day." - _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

Apparently Dean really felt the same way you do. If the rumors are to be believed he usually was drinking apple juice while on stage. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

Hmm...I may need a list of those occasions Kommy. That way, I can sink them up with some of the occasions that Labrn drinks so we can have ourselves that bit of fun we were talking about. *Gives Kommy a secret wink and motion only the two can understand.* _________________ Oh, I'd tell myself

I just bought a six-pack of Dead Guy Ale. I know he'll help make the phone calls go away. _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.
