*A small, female, ferret with blue, ponytail hair, walking on two, little, legs,froze her movement and looked back to Goddess, revealing bunch of cookies in her arms.*
Lidia: Heh...I was going to get a....plate for these...and...and a glass cup of- *runs fast as her little ferret feet can.*
(Seriously, Ms. Goddess this is a cute picture! I like how you did the detail on the cookie crumb on the floor and on the cub's mouth. Keep up the good work. ^w^) |

I'm not angry at them, and I can take critism, but it was all in less then 10 min, and I felt so proud of coloring something for myself after such a long time of absense, no computer, no believing inmyself
i just got really sad, that I myself couldn't see my own mistakes -_- *sobs*
I already feel when i look at my own pbb comic that it's horrible... -_- really t-------t that moment everything just went like: *crush* t---t

Oopsy Daisy! Sorry, Ms. Goddess! She almost looks like Goddess. I didn't pay attention the gray streak on her forehead and her back and the Jewelry on her forehead. XD
Though, you got admit, that was pretty funny.  |

no, Lidia, I'm having really this, confidence problem right now, it's something i need to kick myself into. I can do it,
but I depend so much on negative feedback that I don't listen anymore what's good...

no, Lidia, I'm having really this, confidence problem right now, it's something i need to kick myself into. I can do it,
but I depend so much on negative feedback that I don't listen anymore what's good... |
Then stop listening to those negative feedback. You can find someone that tells you are a good artist, and be a little...sensitive with critiquing your work. Stop going to those people who mostly say to you: "This look weird or awful." etc., etc. |

I know I try that, but when Dolphy said it, i was like: ok, she's far more skilled than I'll ever be.
But when I heard my other friends ... ging like: did yu use burn and dodge tool?
I was like: no, i didn't each has it's own layers!!
them yeah right XD
and those came from friends, so that harmed me, ...

thanks Ashton, I prefure to give soft shadow, I think you noticed on my latest marry pinup wallpaper that Vanessa updated with.
I cant give rough shadow, i don't know why :/

If that's your style, to hell with them. You answer them truthfully and they reply "yeah right?" That doesn't sound like a friendship to me. That more just sounds like they treat you like a flunky (devoted follower, not anything to do with flunking out or failing.)
Constructive Criticism is what a friend is suppose to give. Actual technique ideas, or point out how they feel you could have done better, like "it looks okay, but there's an anatomy flaw here. It should look like this..." or "The highlights here drown out the facial features of this character. Try adding some shade lines here, and here. That way you can see their cheeks and muzzle better.." Stuff like that is the appropriate critique from a friend. Especially since you're already so hard on yourself. My friend Chris is like that for me. I'm a hard critic of my own work, and hardly ever am happy with anything I produce (which is why I don't produce much unless its on a whim ^^ and he's sure to first start off telling me what's good, and here's how I can improve. He never says "That's not that good" or "You totally need alot more improvement." So Bullocks to them I say!
I've always noticed that you add a lot of of highlights, which to me would signal that you wouldn't have many shadows, as there's so many light sources that they drown out any dark and heavy shading. *shrugs* Besides, what is your overall artistic goal that you're striving to become better? Are these "friends" saying you need more improvement to what? Be more like them? Then that's rather narcissistic of them. "This is terrible. If you're ever going to do art like me, then you need more rough shadows..."  ... please.

there will always be people who will make it there mission to hate your work, but the soft shadows were a choice by YOU. hard shading would be more realistic but this looks infinitly better than anything i could ever draw. the soft shading was an artistic design chioce, and if you ask me you made a good call

{hugs} Goddess, again Labrn has said it all... that's not constructive criticism, it's just outright criticism. I know it may seem like it's hard to find honest criticism when one group just fawns and the other just slams, but your work really /is/ that good.
Your friends may not realize they're being harsh. Maybe you can talk to them when a piece of artwork is not up (so it doesn't feel like a reaction), and say that you need more constructive criticism and a little more care in choosing words when you do present something. I dunno, something along those lines.
Or we just send Cassandre to bite them.
