Here are a few ideas I have for another drawing. Like I said in another thread, I'll draw this one for Alley to sell prints and donate all the earnings to the environmental cause.

Tell me which one you like the best or if you have another one which you think will make a better pencil drawing.

I'm looking for something with no nudity, probably one with more detail of her face. I'm open for suggestions.

I really like the first one the best!

I think something that has a natural element as the backdrop would be perfect.

The drawing should definitely have no nudity.

I am very excited about this....

This shot came to my mind instantly, this is my personal favorite shot of Alley's face.

Beautiful work on the other piece you did of Alley!

Thanks Mooart! That is a good pic for sure. I'll add it to the list...

I like the first one the best too. I'm interested to see how the water turns out. I'll start it within the next week or so.

...and I keep putting off mailing the other, but it'll be sending it on Tuesday most likely..

Poecilotheria:

This one doesn't exactly fit your requirements, but I think it would fit the general themes, both you & Alley are looking for.

This is one of my favorites because it is a natural setting, with a nude Alley, but nothing is revealed.

For me, this would be a great enviromental awareness image...

It is from the "Island Girl" gallery (Sept 30, 2007): Image 000016639.jpg

Sincerely,

YDB

If you have the image, you can go to imageshack or photo bucket and upload it from your pc, than, copy the url. When you post a reply in the forum, click on Img or URL at the top while in the reply screen and paste the link. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the interest!!

Not much, but I started this today. I have about 2 hours into it and 40 more to go...

Right now I'm just getting the basic idea down. I'll probably complete the face than move to the water.

The image will be 11" x 17" on Arches Hot Pressed 140lb watercolor paper.

That is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I love the strong powerful EYE contact!!!

Are you good with drawing letters too? Maybe a powerful message drawn in to the left of the face would be GREAT or perhaps along the side so that it doesn't cover up the beautiful peaceful motion of the water?

Just a thought....

I think the water is going to turn out VERY VERY beautiful..... I love drawings/paintings and photography that evoke a feeling/emotion.

Very Happy

I might have to hang this one up in my office!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it so far. If we make the drawing how the reference image is, you can always add whatever message you want in photoshop after its done and a scan is made. Or you can have something added to a print of it. If we draw a message on, we're stuck with the one message. I'd be happy to give you the original of this one to keep and hang in your office. Surprised

Thanks, I can't wait to get started on the water. I still have quite a bit to do on the face and hair, a couple of little fixes... a dash of this, a dab of that...

I suppose I could, but if you look at the reflection and waves on the water, it'll be extremely hard to make it look real and make it so you can tell that the fish are fish. Not only that, but it'll pull attention to the fish and away from the true purpose of this composition, the gaaazzzeee. I think trying to put fish in there will only hurt the outcome. Wink

Great, thanks for the reply!! I threw jack in there because I was making copies of that one anyway, so you can do what you want with that one.

Yes, I was hoping you could sign the original and 5 of the prints and send them back to me. That would be great!

There is a disk in there too with a scan of the original. It comes up light on the pc, but the brightness and contrast can be altered easily in photoshop. You can sell prints of that one and donate the money to the environmental organizations if you like.

I don't know if you have time, but it would prove it's your autograph on it if you snap a quick pic of you holding it so I can put it on the back of the frame. It'll eliminate all doubt anybody may have. Wink

I'm going to be moving really soon, so I'll need to email you a different mailing address. Where can I email that to? My email is on the back of the letter in the package.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

I didn't forget about this one. I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can do with this water. I've been working on one of my son for the local county fair art show. I have a deadline of July 26 to get it done. I only have about 10 hours more to go on it, so that won't be a problem. After this one, I have one more to finish, than I'll do you. Embarassed

Anyway, heres the one of my son that I've been slaving over for a few weeks.

so, do you do a rough sketch or one-line first, or just go for it?

Thanks Surprised

I do a rough sketch of the entire thing. Than, I layer it over and over again. There is nothing in this drawing that resembles "go for it" Wink

Laughing sorry, i didn't mean to imply that "go for it" meant any lack of technique or skill, if that's how you took it!!
just meant do you just start drawing without any outline or sketchwork first Wink
