Alley,
Sometimes people take things personally, even though they don't expect to. The reason is, it just plain hurts when friends tells you something you don't want to hear, even if you've told them they can tell you anything that bothers them. I'm not saying you were wrong in telling her what was bothering you, especially if she told you you always could, but I can also understand how she feels because I've felt that way too. I say give her time to cool off. You've already extended an olive branch. Give her a little time & space and she'll hopefully come around. I hope it works out for you and your friend, and always remember we all love you here.

Alley, I am kind of with supermark on this one. I don't know what you said or the whole situation but remember you don't either. Even friends that are best friends for years and years keep secrets from each other. She may be embarassed to respond or have other issues you don't know about.

I have a similar situation with a friend of mine. I have not spoken with him for probably a year now and he probably thinks I'm an asshole like you called your friend a bitch. I basically just started backing out of the friendship because everytime I visited or spent time with him I became jealous of his life and that made me uncomfortable. It was nothing he did just personal issues I have. I don't know maybe I am an asshole in this case, I'm just trying to say Alley, it may be more complicated then it looks.

Love ya,

Danie

The problem is I HAVE to be nice to her and I HAVE to try to continue a friendship with her because her man is best friend's with my man.

Whatever I'll just go with the flow...I guess. I'm definitely not loosing sleep over this. I just don't understand people sometimes.

Thanks for being there for me GUYS! I LOVE YOU ALL TOO!!

Oh, do you know what else ERKS ME? Michael Jackson!!! I'm going to post a topic just for him.

When a radio commercial goes into high speed mode to get in all the fine print. I can’t understand what’s being said and it’s very annoying to have 500 words thrown at you in 5 seconds. Also commercials that resort to an annoying noise to get your attention like somebody crunching cereal or chips loudly.

Alley, it's good you're not stressing out over it... if she's your man's best friend's girl, she should be making an effort - sounds kinda like she's jealous of you. Often gf's are jealous of other girls that are friends in any way with their man. Especially if they are as beautiful and as lovely as you Wink

lol Wildcard! And spread the rumour that she did it on purpose to cover up a Monica-Lewenski type stain Twisted Evil Very Happy

We are so totally on the same page about that, Alley. I'm to the point where I won't even answer the phone anymore unless I'm specifically expecting someone to call. So hey, call me. HAHAHA! Mr. Green

Y'all can go here and register your phone number: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

I registered my number and my parents number (I didn't tell them). I haven't received a solicitation call since. Only calls I get are from my credit card company every now and again.

Before I registered I wouldn't even speak to these people when they called. "Hello Mr. South, would you..." click Rolling Eyes

Another thing that gets on my nerves...people who don't answer their voice mails...I have that problem all the time at work dealing with vendors.

On the work related note, I hate it when I call a suppliers to find out some information on merchandise and they say they'll call me back about it and then don't. What sort of way is that to conduct business?

Aw, thanks DICK!

I have to say...you guys are all so funny with stating all the things that ERK you. These are all REALLY GOOD ONES! I agree with the whole Britney thing.

I'm currently...having this "thing" with a female friend. She told me...you can talk to me about anything....if there's ever anything that upsets you....that I do...just let me know. So what do I do? I let her know and now she isn't talking to me. What a BITCH! I mean...if she couldn't handle a little suggestion then maybe she shouldn't have told me it's okay to talk to her about anything and such. I HATE people who are SOOO sensitive and who DO NOT communicate. When I told her....what I said...I told her PLEASE don't take this the wrong way!!!....Please don't take this personal!!!! I'm sorry If I hurt your feelings. That's not what I want to do. I'm trying REALLY hard to be careful as to how I tell you this. I even told her I still wanted to get together and do this and that. I've called her a few times inviting her out to some places... and none of it worked. This is what I get for sharing my feelings with her. The thing that ERK's me is....if you care at all about your friendship/relationship.....then the thing to do is...communicate with that person and work your differences out. YOU WILL have differences with everyone you meet at some point or another either big or small....because everyone is different. Everyone came from different experiences, has different opinions, has different views and etc. Married couples even go through that too...but you don't see them divorcing over a difference of an opinion or whatever else that's like that....do you?
Anyway...that's what's REALLY ERKED me lately!!

Alot of females are like that....aren't they? SO Sensitive and such... Do you find that most females are bad at communicating too?

just wonderin'

Rolling Eyes sounds a bit dramatic to me

I don't know if any of you follow wrestling or not but on WWE Raw, they're conducting a Raw Diva search with eight female contestants and people vote on who's their favorite. The final eight contestants consist has one African American woman named Kristal, who is a Miss California runner-up and has been featured in numberous music videos. I went to another message board (whom I won't name) and I read a post about the only reason Kristal was chosen was because she was black, not because she was beautiful (in MY opinon, Kristal's got a pretty face and a tight body!!! woot ). That post got a lot of response from guys and the posts was borderline racist. Most of the messages kept referring to her as the black girl or the black chick, which really ticked me off. Either call her Kristal or don't refer to her at all!!! Angry What really irked me was a poster who said that he as a while male have never thought of black women as being attractive. The sheer ignorance of that statement really got to me. There are simply more beautiful African American women than just Halle, Tyra, and Beyonce!!!

Personally, I'm attracted primarily to African American women but I think there are beautiful women in ALL races. How ANY man (especially one who claims to like women) can say that he's never thought about pretty women of another race? That seems too crazy for me to comprehend. I mean, nobody's saying that you HAVE to find all women attractive and nobody's suggesting that you should have preferences, but I don't think that you should limit yourself by them either. Life's too short to not expose yourself to all that it throws at you because none of us know what we might be missing out on.

What get on my nerves the most?? Hmm.. when people second guess me all the daggone time!! "Are you sure? Is that right? Are you positive?"

ARGHHH I HATE THAT!! Crying or Very sad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Or when my boyfriend thinks that I can't play video games as well as he... BLAH! I'm a gamer to the core and I LOVE my xbox and Playstation! But when his friends come over, I'm regulated to the kitchen ... "Go get me a beer, will ya hun!" Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad I can play John Madden football just as much as they can! Go figure!

This is 1 thing that gets on my nerves: When you feel like you can't share your thoughts or opinions with someone because you might hurt them.
Another thing is: When people don't communicate with you about any issues.

I think communication is key to every good friendship, marriage and etc.
I guess that's why I enjoy reading and posting all your comments about worldy issues and such. I ESPECIALLY love it when we can share our thoughts and comments like grown mature adults.....and maybe have a good laugh or two in between.

Thanks for reading...and I'm sure I'll post up a few more things that annoy me. Angry Very Happy

Oh that pisses me off as well.

I'm biracial (mixed with black) and it unnerves me when I hear comments like the ones you've highlighted. Women are beautiful, period! Those fools at that message board should appreciate all women. We all have beautiful curves, different shades of skin, brilliant smiles and the BRAINS to back it up!

Tyger, I hope you went off on those fools at that message board! Lemme at em! I'll tear em up! Mad Mad

Naw, luvleeone. When it comes to stuff like that, I don't respond to it because sometimes I think guys do that because they can say whatever they want and get away with it over the Net and not ACTUALLY in front of real people. Those are the ones I don't respect. I much rather confront someone face-to-face, not via computer. Some people you just gotta beat sense into, you know? Wink

Wow, gorgeous, plays games and fetches beer!! love lol - only kidding around Smile

I would love to get into programming games, and I've always wondered why most girls don't play - just wondering, what are your favourite games? My sister hates most games but gets totally addicted to others, she actually wore holes in the screen of a palmtop playing solitare so much!

Burglars... auto burglars, specifically. They get on my nerves. But burglars in general.

I know it's a sign of the times we live in, but when you have someone break into your property and then take something, and then damage it in the process of taking, it's just senseless.

It would be one thing if I -misplaced- my car radio, but there's always that ticked off/paranoid/annoyed thought process roller-coaster that happens afterwards.

I could probably rant into the social ills and causes of crime, but I'll stop. Yeah, burglars annoy me.
